Well honestly I have mixed feelings about episode 1. For one thing it has Qui Gon and Obi Wan kicking butt culminating in the duel of the fates. One the other hand though it has the crimes against humanity that are Jar Jar and Jake Lloyd's acting. sweatdrop
Interestingly enough Lucas feels that he has two groups of fans, one over 25 (original fans) and one under 25 (new fans). I would argue that the latter group is more restrictive than he thinks, but other than that is seems about right. Anyway, the time is ticking away and soon I shall see if I agree with the critics that this is the film we have been waiting for all these years. wink

Well I saw the film at Midnight on Wed/Thur (and would've posted this yesterday except I was busy sleeping that off) and must saw that I enjoyed it. There were still some elements I didn't like, but generally the film held up closer to the originals than 1 & 2 put together. That combined with fun referrences to 4, extra violence, and great saber fights marked it as a winner in my book. wink

Well I went and saw Madagasacar for the penguins, and well they are the movie. I enjoyed and thought it was a fun film if a bit predictable. 3nodding

Speaking of penguins, the previews for the move I just saw included one for a movie all about emperor penguins... It looked good. 4laugh I just saw 'Howl's Moving Castle'. Directed by Hayao Miyazaki and adapted from a book by Diana Wynne Jones. So Happy... heart

rofl Bow to the Oompa-Loompas! They used the songs from the book, all were set to music and sung by the guy who did the music for Nightmare Before Christmas. Not to mention that all the Oompa-Loompas were played by one man...all of them. eek I loved it.
