Jacqueline sighed as she closed her eyes and let herself slump in her seat. Her whole body hurt. "I want cold water. So much of it. And pain killers. Those would be pretty damn awesome too. Or maybe just death. Yeah... death fixes every pain," she grumbled. She opened one orange-red eye to look around at them. "Kidding... about the death part, I mean." She gave another sigh. "I can't believe we lost everything either... ******** Crazies..." Jac mumbled. Her body was trembling a bit from the fever, and all she could think about was getting cold water. "I'm Jacqueline, by the way," she said to Piers before shutting her one open eye again.

"Cold water sounds super lovely. And sleep... Sleep sounds good." Azria's stomach grumbled in hunger and she sighed. "Food sounds amazing too. Maybe the other group got food. We need to tell everyone what happened though. On the bright side no one in our group was lost."

Ian silently grumbled to himself, thinking about the lost supplies. HQ wasn't far now, seeing as they were close already on this shortcut. Up ahead was a dirt road turn. As he approached, the car slowed down slightly to allow for the turn. The dirt road wasn't bumpy, but from lack of use over the last few years vegetation had grown over most of the road. They were driving through tall grass, now. Ian almost didn't recognize the road, with the HQ Entrance at the end of it.

"Nice to meet you, Jacqueline." Piers looked out to the HQ "Wow. This place is awesome." He was stunned by the industrial beauty of the re-purposed metal and machinery into a base of operations. Piers smiled to himself. I finally found it. A sanctuary in this mad world. A place to call home. I can finally end this life of running.

The ground around Alex's feet condensed as the bubble of telekinetic energy slammed into the ground. They gently descended from the center of the orb, touching down inside the slight crater created on impact. "Alright. You've got the list- tell me what we need. We'll run in, grab what we can find, and get the hell outta Dodge." He glanced at Matt with an eyebrow raised, waiting for the speedster to read off that list of his.

Matt stood up, and brushed himself off as best he could. He was still kind of filth ridden from his scrap with the rats. He pulled the list from his back pocket and said Grab all the sheet metal you can, along with floor tiles and wooden panels. I no longer trust the floors. Any thing you can find that'll work as support, don't trust the ceiling either. Hell I don't trust the buildings. He flipped the page, I'm gonna run into the Do It Yourself store and grab shower heads, electrical wiring, pipes and what not, and all s**t loads of cleaning supplies. Once we're done with that, we meet back here and then we'll work on what we need for the Training room. Matt nodded, confirming the plan in his head. He looked over to his telekinetic friend waiting for a response.

"So sheet metal, wood, floor tiles. Got it. I might have to come back for supports; there's a decent amount of materials lying around," he muttered, observing the sides of the building. A nearby gas station had metal sheet for roofing; it was removed with ease, albeit somewhat loudly, and placed to the side as he nodded Matt on. "Sounds good. I'll be damned if we're making two trips; two trips is for bitches," he muttered, smirking at Matt. A house suddenly lost its wooden siding, which fell to the ground on top of the sheet metal that had once been a roof. "This is noisy business- we'd better be quick."

"You're too right, we're gonna one-trip this mother ********> Matt said, chuckling a little bit. When Alex mentioned speed, Matt's face turned into a devious little grin. He had that all too well known glint in his eye, "Alright readysetgo! And Matt was gone, he had just vanished, but not one second later was back with 2 large boxes "Shower heads and fresh pipes. Surprisingly enough, that place hasn't been stripped to the bone. There just aren't any tools left." He said, placing the boxes near their rendezvous point. Then Matt was gone again, this time he took a bit longer, but was back quick enough, and he had 5 gallons of bleach, and 3 mops and buckets with him. Matt dumped his loot, and was off yet again. He reappeared next to all of the junk with boxes of wiring and all sorts of electrical type stuff, "I'm not really sure what this is, but I'm sure we'll need it. That's it for me. The training room stuff is optional, besides the only place I can think of that we could find this stuff is in the City."

The first time Matt had come back, the pile of lumber and metal was nearly unchanged.. But the second time he arrived, the pile had nearly doubled. The third time, the pile was enough to build a small house. Alex observed the pile for a moment when Matt returned. "I think this is enough." As soon as he said it, there were distant growls and the thunder of footsteps. "And I guess it'll have to be. Ready for a fight? I can't carry all this and us; and if I'm carrying all this, I won't be much use in this little scrap. Cover my a** while we get back, alright?" At this point he was shouting, as the thundering footsteps had become almost deafening. The supplies shuddered for a moment before floating up quietly skyward, and a struggling Alex frowned at the weight. Yeah, he could make it back. But fast enough to make sure they weren't overrun? Not a snowflake's chance in a fiery hell. "This is gonna suck," he muttered, straining as his eyes began trickling blood.

Matt watched the pile float, completely aware of the thunderous footsteps and the cacophony of screams. "I think that'll do for now." Matt agreed, pulling out his sword, and his pupils began to dilate, he saw the army, no the onslaught of ravenous creatures heading their way, "You're damn straight I'm ready." By this time, Matt's eyes were nothing but black ovals in his head. He shouted over the noise.
Matt turned to face the wave of creatures thirsting for his head on a pike, "Oh I've been waiting for this for a good long while. All y'alls asses are ******** mine." He said with a sadistic grin creeping across his face. Matt's swords danced with electricity, he took a few slow steps, then vanished.
The killing had begun.

Alex grunted, taking labored steps under the weight of the pile. It took a few steps before he'd gotten to about jogging speed, and he watched the Crazies quickly overtake them. "Don't let them surround us!" He shouted, sparing what little energy he could to smack a few bodies into the horizon. He kept up his jog, working his way up to a light run as they continued. He watched Matt flash too and fro, blood spurting as he did his violent dance of death. "Keep it up!" He shouted, working his way towards the edge of Town. "We have to keep moving!"

"Don't worry about killing them, I have it handled, just get the s**t back to base!" Matt yelled back, the horde had yet to reach Alex, there were thousands of them, and they were all about to die. Keeping a good 25 foot space between Alex, and the wall of crazies; Matt just unleashed a blurry hell upon them. Killing everything that so much as twitched, he couldn't help but show his sadistic grin "I understand how to fight hordes man, just go! Matt yelled. That's right you stupid ********, come, meet your end." he muttered, he couldn't have been happier to have been given the job to slaughter them. Although their shrieks of pain and death were short, it was quantity rather than quality at this point.
