Jacqueline grunted as she got herself out of the car, leaning on the blade she had kept hold of for support. "Finally..." she muttered. She was tired, and in a great deal of pain, and was in no mood to talk very much. "I think I'm gonna need some bandaging up, supposing there are supplies for that. If not, I'll deal with it..." she stated as she walked into the courtyard.

Desmond did not want to be put on the side this time. Generally quiet, being shoved aside was common for "him", but "he" wouldn't have it now. "Excuse me, Ian... "He" began, following after the man with strong steps. "But I would like to know why you feel you can just walk off after nearly leaving my sister and I to die while you threw caution to the wind back there..."
"He" moved right alongside Ian, matching his pace despite the smaller stature. "Knowing Azria doesn't entitle you to any leadership, and it certainly doesn't entitle you to make decisions that could have killed my sister!"

Ian stood and turned, blinking down at the girl with a confused expression. This, being the first time Ian and Desmond/Desiree actually spoke, would mean Ian didn't know what was going on with the girl, or guy, whatever. However he did recognize when somebody was angry. Ian listened with slight patience, before replying.
"I called. You never showed up. This isn't a world for liabilities." He began, crossing his arms. "Making the right choices is what entitles me to leadership. Everyone is here, because i'm the one that got the car that brought us here. Just because you chose to disappear when I called everyone to the car, doesn't mean you can blame me for your mistake." Ian spoke with a stern tone, and while he wasn't angry he was irritated.

Desmond snarled again, keeping "his" arms crossed. "The only 'mistake' that was made was you rushing up to fight whatever that thing was. Desiree doesn't look at danger how she should... that gives you no right to leave her behind..."
Desmond gave a solid blink, and the crossed arms turned into a self-hug. "I'm sorry... Desmond just likes to keep me safe..." Desiree said quietly, before throwing her arms around Ian the like a scolded child trying to get back on her daddy's good side. "I'm sorry I ran around..."

Ian noticed the change in tone and demeanor, and he took the hint. Desiree and Desmond were one in the same. Ian sighed, and before he got a chance to speak he found Desiree's arms around him in a hug. He glanced off to the side with an awkward, scowling face, and squirmed his arms out of the hug, pushing her backward by the shoulders gently. His gaze returned to the girl, meeting her eyes. "Don't apologize to me, i'm not angry. Apologize to your brother." And with that statement, he smiled warmly, a sight not seen often from Ian. As he passed by the young woman, he placed an assuring hand on her shoulder and entered the Courtyard.

Piers approached the entrance to the HQ. Approaching the bridge of light, he exclaimed: Holy s**t... What is this?" After seeing the others cross without falling, he followed, slowly. He felt it with his hands.I felt solid. "Wha... What is this?" He saw that the others had already walked to the courtyard, so he quickly followed.

Zenouse approached the metal wall and smiled. "This looks like a place that can stand up to my power, even when it's at its worst." he chuckled. Zenouse took the cap off his tube of skin cream and applied some to his hand so the water on the metal wouldn't hurt him when he knocked. "Hello? Is anybody home yet?" he shouted.

Zenouse sighed loudly. Maybe no-one can hear me. What if I... Zenouse looked up above the wall and focused on a small pocket of air, willing it to excite.

"Damn" Zenouse swore out loud. "Lemme try again..." He mumbled, focusing on a pocket of air slightly lower this time, so that the flame would be easier to see, if one was made at all.

It had been a while since Zenouse tried to go through the large metal doors. He looked up and focused with all his might on a small pocket of air, like he did back then. "Maybe someone will notice this time..." He mumbled to himself as the particles in the air began to grow excited.
