Caedus' eyes held Nicholas' as he stood and spun his katana in his hand once before bringing his hand back. "As you wish." He said before he let himself fall forward, kicking from the fence when he was angled downward and bringing his sword about in a quick and powerful slash towards Nicholas' arm and shoulder.

"You are too slow for the kind of move." Nicholas muttered as he was already moving. A part of his power, the power of Intuition, combined with experience of many battles allowed Nicholas to guess, with positive results that would make a general of a grand army weep for him as his commander, what would happen next in most parts of a battle.
Nicholas utilized his power well and moved sideways and forward towards Caedus while he was in the air. He moved to the opposite side of where Caedus was slashing so as to be out of the blades way and to use Caedus' body as a partial shield against the katana. Nicholas flicked his wrist as well in a quick but strong movement of his rapier in a way that would and should only graze Caedus across his cheek and maybe part of his ear as he passed Nicholas by in the air where it would be significantly, but not totally and completely impossibly, harder to dodge.

Caedus was not quick enough to block the attack and once he was close enough to the ground he thrust an arm forward and flipped himself upright and away from Nicholas, turning again on a heel and letting the small bit of skin on his cheek bleed a single droplet of blood. "Only a drop? You insult me." He muttered as he shut his eyes a bit, clutching the handle of his blade a bit tighter. "You realize that, while my family has lost our mastery of Fire in the recent years we have gained a whole new power? I cannot bend it too my will, but it has seen it fit to grant me a small portion of it's ability. Earth's resilience, to the fools who wish to move it." He said as he clutched his sword a bit tighter and stepped forward once more, firing ahead at meeting Nicholas' blades once more with his own.

Nicholas watched Caedus come at him and he easily parried with his blade before jumping back a bit out of immediate attack range. "Ah, I thought it was something like that. It explains those marks on you, and so many other things..." Nicholas said while looking thoughtful. He twirled his rapier a bit before taking up the position of a fencer again. His blade pointed at his opponents heart. "What an interesting challenge...cutting you will be fun." He said, his tone amused as with his smile and even his eyes this time. The fire different than before. "Well then, Lets have some fun shall we?" Nicholas moved forward and then slid low under Caedus' blade to the edge of the building and kicked off the edge so that he flipped into the air and landed on the lip of the building. His sword still pointed at Caedus.
"Come on then?" Nicholas said with obvious glee before jumping off the lip of the building and landing on a balcony two stories down. He looked up waiting for his opponent to follow.
