Luigi's Mansion ending was pretty good, the only thing I didn't like about it is during the part when Mario knocks into Luigi, he Luigi doesn't say "I'm Luigi number 1" and when he Mario gets disoriented he doesn't say "Mama Mia". Other than those two parts I find the ending to be quite funny especially when Mario goes through the treatment. xd

The ending of the game can either make it or break it. So I was wondering what everyone least favorite or favorite game ending are. My number one least favorite was the ending for Final Fantasy VIII it was so sad you didn't know if Squall was alive or dead.

That Final Fantasy game has multiple endings like Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross have.

For me, call me old fashioned or trendy or whatever but, my favorite ending would probably be FF7's ending. The first real game I beat that had an ending, so it holds a special place in my heart.

Even though I was never a fan of any Mario game, I have developed a strange obsession with film and game theories through the introduction of Matpat on Youtube. Between him and Mario, I prefer Luigi just for the fact no one pays any attention most of the time. In short, let's he is more stable than Mario himself and leave it at that.

Some of the games I love most don't have an "ending" per se, such as Harvest Moon: Back to Nature and the original Animal Crossing.

The ending of FFVII was so sad for me . . . She's really gone forever, and she won't ever be back . . . crying

Another super-sad ending is the one for Tales of Xillia 2. It's absolutely gutting, no matter which of the endings you get.

I remember loving the ending of Xenogears (such a great game!), and I was especially thrilled to hear the lead vocalist of my favourite band singing the ending credits song. 4laugh

An ending I thought was a bit underwehelming was the ending for Digital Devil Saga.

I wish I could elaborate but I honestly forget the details and wouldn't want to spoil it for anyone else.

But does this mean I won't play the game again...I would definitely play this game again XD

Rhapody: A Musical Adventure had a very nice though somewhat bittersweet ending, as Cornet and prince Ferdinand are joined in holy matrimony, and that evening is Cornet forced to say farewell to her mother Cherie one last time.

There have been a few game endings that made me depressed. One of the few that comes to mind are the three different endings of the first "Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic" game. Just a quick warning, though.

There be spoilers from this point on ward.

1.) Light Side - Revan saves the Republic with Malak's death and the ceremony cuts to the credits. What makes this depressing was knowing your character (male or female) is considered missing in the second game depending on who you romance. Carth if they are female; Bastila if they are male.

2.) Dark Side with Bastila at your side - This requires you sparing her in the final battle, and possibly kill Carth just because you want to or fail to presaude to betray the Republic.

3. Dark Side with Carth at your side - Heart breaking for female players, from what I seen on Youtube.

Do not get me started on Mass Effect's original endings!

Final Fantasy Tactics ending was awesome, and very open ended, as it leaves some ambiguous openings as to whether or not Ramza, his crew, and Alma actually survived the explosion, or whether or not Delita actually ended up killing Ovelia or not (since Olan specifically stated in the cutscene before it that he made it look like an accident).

i have this game and have beat it at least a couple of times so far
