Brazilians don't use to pronunce the "r" in the infinitive. it's written, but not spoken
Infinitive words always end in -ar, -er or -ir
If instead "r" people use ´,^ etc, its a mistake
Some people do this mistake when chatting on internet, or simply because they don't use to read much...Portuguese is a hard language, you need to pratice this everyday. Specially when we are talking about Brazilian portuguese, which got many influences from it's culture and from other cultures.
Talking about this, I'm gonna show you some Brazilianized foreign words
Álibi (latin) - also used for alibi
Abajur/abajour (french) - Table lamp
Ateliê (french) - studio, atelier
Batom (french) - lipstick
Baguete (french) - bread (baguette)
Bangalô (english) - bungalow
Basquetebol (english) - basketball
Bege (french) - beige
Bibelô (french)- used for house adornment
Show (english)
Short (english) - short pants
Top (english) - used usually for short tops
Of course there are lots of brazilianized words, but unfortunately I don't have much time for posting here
