Raize_Kida ok let me get something stright. I have been int eh navy for over a year and a half and have JUST reached my first duty station...and i STILL have a room mate that is ******** a**l about everything. HE has no Idea what relax means. he still thinks that just becuase we live in a barracks, we have to still do everything like it's a Training command. Home is Home no matter if it's an apartment, barracks or an actual house. If i want ot leave a small mess showing that i live there, then i should be allowed to. sorry i just need to rant to something and this seamed to be the best place... Lol. Don't you wish you can't pick your roomies. My roommate sits on his laptop and plays WoW... Almost like I don't even have one. Good luck with that though.

Good luck with that though. well it not so bad anymore. and my laptop caught a virus so now i can't play WoW myself. plus the company gunny is going to be having us switch room mates with a couple of the marines. plus work has become easier.

Awesome brotha! I'm glad to hear. I ended up getting bored, and watched him play, so not it's not so awkward now that I can talk to him about his character.

I've spend most of my career in Norfolk. You know how there's supposed to be a black hole in the center of very galaxy that everything orbits? If the Navy was a galaxy, that's Norfolk. I spent three years in Annapolis, on the NAVSTA side of the Academy. Not too bad it you don't mind political bullcrap, but it's a very small command. I spent a few months in San Diego for "C" school, and it didn't seem so bad.
As for overseas, I've only ever made port visits. Souda looked like it sucked. I'd probably like Rota or Sigonella. They seemed big enough and there was enough to do. Bahrain is cool, and you get all kinds of bonus pay.

so im looking at getting back in the army and wanted to see if anyone knew anything about fort drum ny like bah rates for one kid. and how the housing is and leadership style is like and the over all decency of the base i guess
