So here's a thought. The navy is World wide. and althogh not a lot of us sailors are on Gaia, there are a few at least. SO here's a post to talk aobut where you live or where you want to go to for a DUTY STATION!

Well, here in camp Lejeune, NC... Still... Hoping to get to camp Lester, Okinawa soon, and hopefully work in the vary hospital I was born in. Which would be a nice thought. Plus, I haven't seen my Okinawan relatives in decades, which would be very nice. However, it looks like the Afghanistan is where I'll probably go next. But hey, a Doc's gotta do what a Doc does best.

well I want to join the navy reserves and try o station in san deigo but I am still debating on joining.

I would like to go to Japan. Im in Bahrain right now (UGG) but a MA doesnt have alot of choices

I've not enlisted or anything yet, but I'm dead set on joining the armed forces, particularly Navy but if I'm set somewhere else, I'll go! The main hope is NavSta Rota(Rota, Spain) or to get on the ship Nimitz in San Diego, I was born on the Navy Base there, so it'd be nice to walk in my fathers footsteps. Even Japan, but Spanish is my second language(And preferred) while Japanese is my third, and French my fourth. So somewhere I can excercise it. Hopeing to work with language or music, namely a translator of some sort.

I think CT's do the whole language thing. But, as far as I know, they usually get boxed up in places... Not too much daylight with that job

im going to be a CTT and i would love to be based out of Bremerton WA. or pearl harbor. all i know is after basic im going to florida for my A school and im not sure whats goin on after that

Yeah, I know. :/ From what I've been told and researched it's just intense training in something like Arabic, then holed up somewhere.

Watch out with Hawaii. It sounds nice... until you pick up smoking just so you can remind yourself what a "Sun" is again. However, you pick up fairly fast as a CT, and it pays really really well. I'm still debating whether to stay in my rate or to cross-rate.

ok let me get something stright. I have been int eh navy for over a year and a half and have JUST reached my first duty station...and i STILL have a room mate that is ******** a**l about everything. HE has no Idea what relax means. he still thinks that just becuase we live in a barracks, we have to still do everything like it's a Training command. Home is Home no matter if it's an apartment, barracks or an actual house. If i want ot leave a small mess showing that i live there, then i should be allowed to.
sorry i just need to rant to something and this seamed to be the best place...
