Personally I have never tried to be "goth" I listen to music that is good Deathrock, punk rock, new-wave/post-punk, glam, and grunge were my first loves as a kid because I listened alot to what my brothers, sister, and mom listened to. After my brother came home from being stationed in the military in Germany I got into NIN and Rammstein and after my other brother got back from being stationed in Alaska I got into Rob Zombie and that was my introduction to industrial music around age 6-7. In middle school I got into power-metal and folk metal. So I don't try to be goth or punk or metal...the only sub-culture I dress for is transvestite it just annoys me that certain people in their sub-cultures actually shun or b***h at me because I like more than one style of music and dress the way I want. It all boils down to lables destroying a subculture (for examples the feuds between goths a industrial/rivetheads) instead of everyone doing what they want. IDK. I like this guild thougheveryone is refreshingly non-elitist for the most part.
