One reason they brought in someone to make Gaia more money is to keep the site running. The more people who join Gaia, the more money it takes to maintain the site. Yes, they are going about it the wrong way and not thinking about the consequences, but with this guy in charge of it all, Lanzer is free to do other things. Its probably why he hasn't gone against him
