Maybe someone found a style one day that they think truly represents who they are. They find a picture of someone and think Hey, this is totally me! and they start to dress that way without knowing there's an entire subculture behind it. Hey, it could happen.
Which is one reason why I don't base on appearance, I talk to people. If they don't know jack s**t about the culture that doesn't make them an a** that just makes them an ignorant little bugger. But that isn't to say I completely shut them out. On the contrary, I'll try and tell them more about the culture and get them involved.
But I digress. Back to the point. If it's the way someone dresses just because they feel it represents them, then when they talk I'll percieve them as genuine. And if they come off as fake, or as a ********, then I don't continue the conversation. Doesn't matter how cool your outfit is, it you're an a** to me or you're fake, I don't want to talk to you.
