For his part, Sabashii knew he would have to go further than he wanted when that second blast was incoming. And she kind of seemed more serious this time. Hell. He was prepared even to go so far as to call up a mana sphere. Then it all sort of happened so fast. Even as he was gathering energy, he heard a sort of static buzz in the air, which culminated in the formation of a figure. The figure seemed human, but..he couldn't see its features. Which was odd, because they were entirely uncovered. But it was like he was looking at nothing. A high class magical defense? It was the only explanation. The features he saw were hazy, and he couldn't remember what he saw from moment to moment. Hypnotic effect on top of concealment. That was high class magic alright. Even more interesting was that everything that wasn't the retreating crew and the other battle participants just sort of stood still. No, it wasn't time magic. It was something else. That same magic that was protecting the newcomer's identity was being woven around the entire area in a sort of barrier. The thing was, the barrier was less a barrier, and more of a..well, it was hard to say what it was. Mundanes however, would all fall asleep over the wide radius the battle had covered. In a similar fashion, the life auras of those that had been there would be tracked, and threads of the art would follow them to give them the same treatment.

It, in a sense, was a reverse of Forced Recognition magic. Now, it was nowhere near planet-wide. Rather, it spanned a distance, and sought out targets with a specific criteria. The odd thing was, he didn't run from the incoming massive surge of red power. So it was even bigger than the first one, huh? Interesting. With a gesture, he shot the white-haired man backwards a good distance, to land with the rest of the crew. For her part, Tsukuyomi was long gone. The man's arm raised upward, his palm containing nothing but a tiny silver marble. And when the blast hit head on, it was like an unstoppable force meeting an immovable object. He didn't budge an inch. Not a single crackle of fell power got past him. As the smoke cleared, he lowered his hand, finally. The ones who had their memories changed by his field and threads would remember it as a local earthquake coupled with a large gas explosion. As a final measure, his field shorted out electronic devices in the nearby radius. Cameras, all sorts of things like that.

Ciardha didn't mind the existence of magic, the supernatural, being known. But not like this. This wasn't the way. He raised his hand again. Palm forward facing the woman with the purple hair. The air around them became charged, and almost seemed to change color. The hateful ki she'd been exuding seemed to be blown away as the entire sky turned a dark grey with the sheer pressure that the figure's aura created. Yet his barrier kept the mundanes from feeling anything more than unease.

"Your purpose here is done. Vanish."

And before a reply could even be formulated, he'd already moved. His palm met with her face, and he drug her across the sky, all while forging a second barrier around them so they wouldn't be noticed; mundanes would turn away from them, their eyes averted by the barrier. Even as he moved, the force he exerted, just with such a light touch, was unreal. And once he'd gotten to a clear area outside of town, he simply shoved, sending the woman with a sonic boom sort of sound from the speed of motion alone, down to the ground to make a large impact crater.

"You and I can speak later. Try not to upset the established order again. It's too much work to fix it when it's disturbed in the manner you disturb it in. I wouldn't have cared, but you put an unborn child in danger. Even if it is against your order, I won't allow that. You're done here. Get moving."

That said, the man vanished in a halo of black fire in the shape of a phoenix. The barrier field vanished when the Forced Memory spell was done. Some might remember; it wasn't entirely foolproof. But the coverup would be 96% complete, and any physical evidence would be eliminated neatly.

Having gotten over the shock of the illusion as they fell off the side of the roadway, both landed more or less on their feet, with Katerine scrambling up the pile of rubble. Contrary to what Lorenzo had feared, the Land rover more or less had a roughed up body. Everything important was alright, hell, roughed up body just meant scratches on the paint and a dented winch, which might need replacing. Katerine drove, as Lorenzo jumped in the back and looked at a folded down M2. If need be, he'll rip the softshell out and expose it.

Just in case insurance. Loaded with the multipurpose Mk211 round, well, he wondered how a Shinmeiryuu user's blade can deflect incendiary chemicals, explosives, and a tungsten carbide penetrator. Most likely via plot armor. That's the only thing Lorenzo can think of.

------神鳴流` "Betrayal stings worse than any blade."

She let herself be dragged away with the palm to her face. But rather than take the impact crater, no no, she wasn't about to have that, as they neared the landing spot he'd intended she twisted and her body vanished in a mid-air shundo.

However, an object in motion stays in motion, and so she didn't land lightly and delicately as she'd hoped, instead skidding on booted feet along several hundred feet, before she finally shifted and came to a stop. Instead of a crater, there was a long deep furrow where she'd slid along the ground. He must have been crazy to think she was going to do anything as inelegant as crash to the ground. Who the hell did he think she was?

"Tch," still, it had had it's intended effect, and the blade in her hands had calmed, and she slit her palm before sheathing the blade. She'd then make her way back towards the apartments downtown, flash-stepping until she got within range, and then walking the rest of the way. A hand going to her hair.

Damn it, she'd have to get a hair cut before class started back up. What a pain.

The fox-woman let go of the man she'd been about to fight once they were near the vehicles. With the rest of the crew getting ready to GTFO, Kitsune paused long enough to point back at the team he'd been about to fight on. "Now I know you're probably all about honor and fair-play and all that, but next time you're about to even some odds, you need to look a little bit closer at what side you're going to join. We wouldn't all dogpile on somebody who couldn't kick all of our asses piecemeal."

And with that bit of advice, she climbed into the Akiomobile with the others and shooped off toward the nearest hospital.

Azen Yaneza
Wanderer

Azen stood where he was dumped by the fox-woman, and listened carefully as she pointed. He was about to say something as they left, so he bit his tongue and kept it to himself.

Either way, he was really hungry. Hunger drove him to be somewhat feral... in the sense that he stormed off, in hopes of finding some place to grab something to at least pass his hunger... like a restaurant or something... But then again, he has no money... He'll see what he can do with the convenience store, then. Or maybe he can find his way to the apartments.
