Laeral Silverhand
lol yeah but drow live longer than humans so by time drizzt found one that was acceptable by his standards, cattie-brie would probably be dead

thats true, but even if he did meet one in the near future it would mean nothing. drizzt does not descriminate so he wouldnt choose a female drow JUST BECAUSE she is drow

Oh, he's not THAT divine. I'm sure she'd get a bonus.

The drow are cool and all, but they're very cruel! The men and women hate each other so much, it's a wonder how their race even stays populated! But, I do like the fact that women are seen as grand as men!

The drow culture is very intriguing and a change from most typical matriarchal societies. But, since I have only read Homeland and Exile I can't say for sure about Drizzt, though he is a great anti-hero.

magic is more of a coin flip though... different races are better at certain things like drow cant do spells on the surface..

Correction. Drow can cast spells on the surface. The only reason they don't allow wizards on the surface is because they don't know much about how the environment effects their spells.

In one book (this has been said already) a wizard went to the surface and his fireball expanded beyond the "normal" parameters of what the drow expected it to. This is because the air on the surface wouldn't be compressed as it is in the Underdark, allowing for the fire to consume more air and expand, fires need air. They can cast spells just like anyone else on the surface, they just need to adapt to the changes that will occur because of the environment.

I hope I didn't just make an a** of myself.

And drow males scare me but the females are terrifying. I wouldn't want to meet a drow period. The one's running around on the surface always have something that wants to kill them chasing them around. Being a friend to someone with that level of danger isn't enticing.

Still, they are pretty badass.
