Relana peered over Glaucus' shoulder to see what Chris had written. She was appalled at the mentioning of Erik's teeth in the sink as well as the claw marking. It must have pained him to lose his teeth; she could barely recall the time her teeth had fallen out, but she could remember she wasn't very happy when they came out.
"Ohh, poor Erik...." Relana said quietly, feeling sorry for the boy. "His teeth....Wow, that must have hurt so badly..." She wondered where he was now and if he was hurt. She didn't think about Glaucus' father coming to look for him at her cabin. Relana was glad Chris had thought ahead like that or she and Glaucus may have been put in a very difficult situation.

Glaucus's eyes widened as he read. Wow he was stupid. And Erik was wandering ble.ding and in agony, around in the woods. "My parents are leaving tomorrow, i know my mom she'll make them leave. They won't continue their vacation knowing I left."
Chris was right they were going to have stay here for now. "We need to find Erik fast, the first 48 hours are crucial to his survival, and we both know his "condition" isn't lessening the time he has. We have to find him. Luckily for us though, the staff doesn't seem all that competent and probably won't check either cabins until my parents leave. Which means tomorrow we have to pull everything out of the two cabins before they send a maid in." Glaucus snapped his fingers, "Perhaps i should clear our stuff out now, I'm feeling useful again."
Glaucus knew where this was eventually going to lead. "Chris... we can't stay here for long. We need pull all of our stuff to here and then move somewhere else. How long have you leased the cabin for?"

Christopher took the note and pencil, and began to scribble down another message, trying to write with some haste as expressed by the intense grip and movement of his hand with the pencil, not to mention the gritting of his teeth. After a minute or so, he finished writing and handed the note back to Glaucus as he seated himself on the bed and laid back onto it to rest, letting out a long exhale that accurately commented on the frustration and exhaustion of the day.
The note read:
We will have to look for Erik in the morning. I tried to find him earlier by sniffing him out but that didn't do the trick. However, I don't think his life is in danger, but I'm sure his mental state is rather unstable so either way we will have to act fast when we get the chance but until then, not much we can do. For now, I will rest and I advise you do the same. You can clean up the cabins if you wish but come back here right away and lock the door once you're in.
As for what we'll do, let me sleep on it now. I have an idea but it's more of a desperate failsafe at the moment and I want to contemplate it a bit more before suggesting or acting on it.

Glaucus could see the tragedy setting itself up. Regardless of what they did now, eventually questions were going to be asked. Erik was a runaway, Glaucus had been forced to abandon his family, and Relana had to break off contact with hers. And now, Erik had disappeared forestward leaving a bloody trail, Glaucus had left his own blood trail from his cabin to Relana’s Cabin, and he put them all in great risk. Neither Relana’s cabin nor Erik’s cabin was safe now, and if like Glaucus thought an inspection was carried out tomorrow, they would be discovered here in Chris’s cabin.
“You sleep Chris. And Relana you stay here. I’m going to bring your and my stuff back here, and leave a note saying that you had to return to Ireland. As for Erik, I think it’s best to leave his things alone for now. First thing in the morning though we have to find him.”
Glaucus exited the cabin and ran carefully back to Relana’s cabin. He entered quietly, his two gigantic bags off in the corner by the front door. There he found all of Relana’s things in corner still mostly unpacked. He looked around to make sure everything was packed and counted up her bags. Glaucus counted two, and then grabbed them along with the lighter one of his two bags and walked carefully out the door. It took him longer then he expected but he returned to Chris’s cabin.
Whispering, he thought he saw Relana was still awake, but he didn’t want to turn the light on just yet. “I got two bags from you, how many did you bring? I still have to go back for my other bag, and I need you to write a note. Then I can close the cabin down and see if I can’t find a hose to get some of the blood off of the porch and the immediate street.”

Relana sighed at the thought of Glaucus having to leave alone again. The last time that had happened, he came back bleeding. Relana wished that she would never see him in such a state again--the incident was still fresh in her mind. She wanted to argue, hoping that she could come with him, but he had already left.
"Come back safely," she thought, worry beginning to set in. She sat down on a chair and waited anxiously for his return. She was much too jittery to do much of anything to pass the time.
Several minutes passed, yet Glaucus did not come back. A thousand terrible thoughts ran through her mind--what if something had attacked him? What if someone saw him? She ran her hands through her hair, trying to dislodge such thoughts from her head.
"You're just working yourself up," she had to tell herself, forcefully ceasing the nervous shaking of her scaled legs. "He's fine...."
She looked up as Glaucus opened the door, her fears vanishing. She smiled, standing up to help him carry in some of the bags. "Yes," she nodded, speaking quietly so she wouldn't awaken Chris, "I only brought two of them. Can I help you do anything, Glaucus?"

The wolf man was fast asleep on the couch in his cabin. However, his rest was not easy. Christopher was subconsciously alert to every sound nearby. His eyes constantly shifted in his sleep, expressing his unease and awareness to his surroundings. Chris's tail even stiffened from time to time when any loud movement caught his attention.
Christopher's venture into the dream realm would not put his mind at relaxation either. A terrible nightmare was soon awaiting him, once all went quiet...

"No I’m alright, I'm going to go back and get my bag. I'll be back as soon as I can." Glaucus took the note that Relana had written and returned to her Cabin.
He placed the note on her kitchen table and picked up his bag. Glaucus got the hose from the side of the house and turned it on slightly. He held the pipe over the trail of his one blood and walked it forward towards the street. He got most of it off, in the street, and he had cleared her porch and step. Once he got enough off he shut the water off and wrapped the hose up.
"That was easier then I thought it would be." Glaucus whispered as he returned to Relana's cabin. He turned to look towards the bathroom, and saw another trail of his blood leading up towards the bathroom. He walked to the sink as quietly as he could and got a wet paper towel. He soaked it, rang it out and then proceeded to wipe up the blood in the house. He had to go back multiple times and restart the process, but after a good five minutes he was finished.
He looked around, and the room was as good as he could get it. The sofa would have to stay ripped, and the walls had scratches in them that he couldn’t get out. After a few minutes Glaucus opted to return back to Chris's cabin instead of ing.
He walked across the road, and saw his father... loading up the car. He stopped moving completely. He could do nothing but stare. By some divine intervention, his father never saw him, ands continued back into the cabin to get more stuff to load. At that instant, Glaucus darted for Chris’s cabin and slammed the door shut behind him. Breathing heavily, he put his bag next to his other one and looked for Relana in the dark? "Relana!" he whispered.

Relana watched him leave once more, slightly less apprehensive than the last time he ventured outside. She only hoped that he would be as lucky as last time.
As she sat down, one of her ears began to ring. She sighed, putting a hand over it. She winced as a deep pain shot in her ear.
"Great," she thought, "first, it's fish feet. Now, an ear infection?" She couldn't be sure. Sometimes, they ached for no particular reason. Relana hoped that it wasn't an infection; she was unsure if she put enough antibiotics in her medicine bag. In her childhood, earaches were common for her--her allergies always had her congested. So, she was prone to bringing antibiotics with her.
She looked up as Glaucus burst into the cabin, breathing heavily as he slammed the door.
"Glaucus?!" she stood up, searching for him in the dark. "Glaucus, what's the matter? Did someone see you?"

"Glaucus?!" she stood up, searching for him in the dark. "Glaucus, what's the matter? Did someone see you?"
“No… but my dad… almost did.” He was still panting when he crawled over and sat next to Relana in the dark. “I was right. They are leaving tomorrow.”
Glaucus looked up at Chris…“You know I somehow think this is my fault.”

"Your fault?" Relana said, taken back. "What do you mean, your fault? For what?" Her head tilted in confusion. "You haven't ever done anything wrong, Glaucus." She grimaced as another pang of pain spiraled down her ear and resounded on her temples.
"Ach, maybe this is an ear infection," she mused. "Sure feels like one."

~A Little Later in the Night~
"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaairrrrrrrreeeeeeeccckkkkkkk!" screamed out Christopher at the top of his lungs, hunting through an endless abyss of trees and shrubbery with a damp fog enveloping the area very slowly. The wolf man could not deny the fact he was lost within his current terrian and was simply wandering aimlessly. All he was capable of was screaming out the teen's name and squinting his eyes from time to time to make out a shape. His nose was usless in here due to the thickness of the fog. He could only pick up the displeasing aroma of his sweat.
Eventually, Chris began to pant heavily as he ventured further in. The humidity caused by the fog was becoming unbearable and with his new fur, it was only making it worse. The wolf man collapsed to his knees and toppled onto the ground, feeling exhausted again and trying desperately to breathe. The fog seemed to swirl him and blind him completely. Closing his eyes, Christopher just laid there and waited for something to happen; for either him to suffocate, the fog to clear, something to attack him, anything. Maybe even stay encased in this foggy nightmare forever.
He didn't have to wait long when something landed on top of him with a thud, making his ribcage ache immensely. However, Christopher reacted once he felt sharp teeth wrap around his neck. In a moment of a panic, adrenaline, and agression mixed together, the wolf snarled and pushed up with all his weight and threw the mysterious assailant off of him. His attacker didn't waste time though as he pounced at him once more. But Chris wrapped his arms around whatever this thing was and wrestled it to the ground, rolling around in the dirt and snapping at it with his muzzle.
The assailant did the same and managed to tug a little on Christopher's lip during the snapfest they were having. Yelping in pain, Chris growled in anger and wrapped his pawwed hands around the thing's throat and dug in its claws. The thing, which had to be an animal, let out a cry of pain and jumped off for a moment. But Christopher didn't allow it a chance to get away. Lashing out an arm, the wolf man grabbed the thing by the leg, hearing the bone snap in the process as it was caught off balance and bent in an opposite direction. The animal was howling in agony by this point but Chris didn't care. He lavished in the yelps and mercy cries, his rage overtaking him. This thing would be the outlet for his anger and pain of the day.
Picking up a rock beside him, Christopher raised it in the air and slammed it against the thing's skull multiple times until a splatter of blood hit him in the face. The fog soon began to lift, as if to unveil Chris's "thropy" but the sight quickly turned the wolf man's blood cold and he became completely frozen. The "animal" was Erik... He had just killed the one he began to consider his little brother. But the thing that really overtook Chris was the position of the body. It was exactly the same way Lyall looked, and the same way she had died too... by his hands...
Christopher's whole body began to quake as a wave of emotion hit him. As the vehement tide in him intensified, the wolf man slowly raised his head into the air and open his mouth to...
"NoooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOOO oooooooooOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooo!!!!!!!" howled out of Christopher's wolf-like muzzle as his eyes shot open and he placed his hands on his cheeks, digging the claws a little into the flesh which drew some blood. The howling scream stopped but Chris remained in the same position, a quivering mess. It took a few minutes for his trembling state to fade away, allowing him to come back to actual reality.

In the silence of Glaucus’s question, an unearthly howl shot up from Chris.
"NoooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOOO oooooooooOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooo!!!!!!!" Glaucus nearly jumped four feet ion the air, with his hand on his ears. It seemed to cleave through both night and silence. Glaucus got up and ran for the light switch.
“Chris what’s wrong??” Chris sat on the couch quivering… not making another sound. “Chris?” Another rout burst like that and someone was going to hear.

The pain now felt as if someone was slowly but surely hammering a long nail into her ear. She felt every painstaking heartbeat reverberate in her eardrums.
Relana opened her mouth to answer Glaucus' question, but a loud howl that came from Chris' room interrupted her. She ignored her pain for a moment as she heard Chris' loud cry echo in the cabin. She jumped up in fear, wondering what had made him howl like that. She followed behind Glaucus, hoping that Chris was alright. She saw him shaking violently on the couch, as if had seen something horrible.

Christopher glanced over to Glaucus and Relana, his eyes still wide and his skin a pasty pale coloration. His face very still, Chris was able to make a mostly coherent sentence as he uttered, "...It---a ba-add d-dra-eem... Aireck..."
Trailing off, the wolf man could see the dream playing out in his eyes once more as soon as he mentioned it. He closed his eyes and shielded them with his pawwed palms as if to block out the vision. He didn't want to talk about it anymore. The wolf man didn't want to have it play out in front of him once more. God only knew what a second occurance of it would do to him, Chris already in a pretty unstable state from the first time. The dream had even affected him so much that his tail was tucked between his legs. After a moment, Christopher removed the paw-like hands from his eyes and looked back to Glaucus and Relana. He simply told them, "---Fer-git it..."
His body still trembled occasionally as he laid there on the couch.
