Adam and Amelia Amelia walked beside the Caterpillar and couldn't help but notice how handsome he looked in his human form. She tried to be careful not to stare. She heard what the Dormouse said and exclaimed confused. "Only to the end of the forest? I thought it was much further than that."Adam was walking with Chesh in the back to guard in the rear, called back up to her. "The portal might not be that far away but we have quite a ways to go through Looking-glass land."Adam was actually calm for once, even though he could still feel the slight excitment about possible battles running through his veins. He had to be on his guard. He sent a mental request to Amelia for her to scan the area. His mental abilities stretched only as far to communicate with his twin. Amelia had great mental capabilities, but she rarely used them, prefering her potions.

Mallymkun Dormouse Mally turned, walking backwards as she pointed her sword to the back of the group, "Yeah, what Adam said." she giggled. She turned back to walk forward again, "So where are we going once we get to the Portal anyways?" She had nothing better to do then sleep the rest of the day, so she might as well just follow they group and find out where they were heading.

"These woods will lead to the borderlands; that is where the Looking-Glass Fence is located. However the battle wages on both sides of the barrier... it shall be difficult to avoid attention." Caterpillar stated; noticing Amelia's glances every so often but ignoring them. "The Fence itself is actually a magical barrier that separates both lands... to look into it, is to just see your reflection. However yes there is indeed a 'portal' located within the Fence... and that is how we can get into Looking-Glass Land."
Caterpillar's thoughts returned to the possiblity of Looking-Glass Land having their own Oracle; but was soon interupted by Mally's question. "I wished to go to that land merely to get away from the Queen here; I do not know exacitically where everyone else wants to go." He was about to continue when they all came across what seemed to be an old, overgrown castle in the distance; but still in the forest. Caterpillar sighed; recognizing it as the Castle of Clubs, long abandoned and left to be forgotten in the darkness of the woods.
He pressed onward without saying a word.

Adam and Amelia Amelia caught the Caterpillar's eye and blushed. She fixed her gaze determinedly ahead. She answered Caterpillar's question of their motivation. "We can't stay here any longer. We were already on our way somewhere, but we hadn't decided where. We stopped to visit the Oracle and decided to join."Adam had his hands behind his head walking leisurely and noticed Amelia's blush. He ignored it and stared at the Castle they passed. He spoke mentally to his twin. *You need to stop fooling around. Keep scanning the area. Your stupid crush will get us all killed.*Amelia's brow creased with anger and she frowned. *Mind your own business!*She shouted mentally at him, but did what he asked. There wasn't anything close to them that wished ill intent. There were a few various animals and talking flowers. Nothing to worry about. She reported back to Adam sulkily. Adam sent acknowledgement towards his twin. He hated making her upset but she was losing focus and everyone to be alert. The Oracle cared about naught but his prophecies and his hookah. It wasn't the Caterpillar's fault but Adam was sure he couldn't care for Amelia like she deserved, despite her feelings for him and their common interests.

"Once we cross the border and are safely in Looking-Glass Land I am hoping to find somewhere where I will not be looked for," Caterpillar mentioned; noticing Amelia blush. He had often wondered if the girl held more than just an interest in his teachings for him, humans could be strange creatures indeed.
"We must all remain focused; do not act rashly... it will lead to ruin," He said to everyone but seemed to be staring off into the distance. "For those that do; will surely not find what they seek. The finding of Tulgey Wood perhaps... but not of the Sword. It is the same with our situation... stay calm and focused and we will go beyond the Looking-Glass."

The White Rabbit "The Oracle has a valid point." The Rabbit shot a glare at the Cat with Adam. He jumped at the chance to cut down on Chesh, even if the comment wasn't exactly directed tword it, " Distractions will only lead us to being vulnerable." Mallymkun Dormouse Mally rolled her eyes at the comment, no one particuarly intrested her at the moment... except for the male form of Chesh, but if she wanted to, she would, "Yeah yeah." She murmered to herself.

Katty emerged her head from Amelia's bag and noticed the crimson tint of her cheeks. Her mouth was ajar with confusion for a moment before she glanced at the caterpillar, Amelia, and back towards the caterpillar. Her eyes lit up with realization and mischief. Katty put a paw over her mouth to stop excessive noise, but couldn't stop the childish giggle rising inside her. She let her paws and forelegs dangle out of the bag as she hummed a familiar sing-song rhyme about two particular people sitting in a tree. "Kay-eye-ess-ess-eye-en-gee." She finished out loud.

Adam and Amelia Amelia jumped when the kitten woke up. She looked around and hurriedly tried to hush her. She spoke loudly to cover the humming. Amelia desperately hoped no one had heard. "I've been scanning the area and I've sensed no life with ill intent. I have some invisibility spells we can use if absolutely necessary."Adam saw the Rabbit and the Dormouse look at him with Chesh. He smirked and motioned to the Dormouse. "Looks like the little toothpick wants a bite."He put his arm around the Cheshire Cat smiling with eyes full of mischief. Adam liked to cause a little Chaos. That was probably why he and the Cat got along so well.

"Thank you for agreeing, Rabbit," Caterpillar said; already knowing he had made a valid point... but a little praise was always nice.
Caterpillar then looked at Katty; completely ignoring the fact of what she was actually singing and took on a more tutor-like perspective. "Oh so you can spell; I was beginning to wonder how much education you had recieved in English with your odd pronounciation. Spell 'Jabberwock'." He demanded of her in a seemingly random way.
He then turned to Amelia with a less demanding remark. "How far along has your training come in the magic arts now?" Caterpillar asked; being able to carry along more than one conversation at once was a useful skill he had always thought to himself.

Adam and Amelia Amelia smiled and bent down. She grabbed a bit of grass and held it up with one hand. With her other hand a bit of a pink glow came out and the blade turned into a sword. It had the weight and shine and feel of a sword. Amelia stared at it and it grew longer and then it shrank. Then she sighed and let it return to normal form.
"That's about as far as I'm getting with physical magic. I can do a lot more with mental abilities if I try. I can usually tell if someone is telling the truth and if the person is open I can speak to them mentally, as well as find other life forms and feel their motives. My favorites are my potion work though. It's what I'm best at and it's the reason I retreated to the forest."
Amelia intentionally left out the part about having a mental connection with her twin. Some things should be left with family.
Adam was still sneering at the Dormouse with Chesh to notice Amelia demonstrating. He called back to her.
"Do that thing with your face."
Amelia laughed and closed her eyes. When she opened them her face was covered in warts and had a long hooked nose. Manipulating herself was the easiest part, but if she was ever nervous or scared her ability to perform was diminished greatly.
"I've had a bit of time to practice. That was the best part of living alone for so long. I wouldn't be half this good without the practice."

"Most impressive... to stay where there is no distractions is the best way to train yourself," Caterpillar was unphased by Amelia's ability to manipulated her appearance it seemed. "Meditation helps; and it is best performed when no one else is around to bother you... I find smoking my hookah calming; and the best thing to do while in a contemplative state." He said with a smile. "Sometimes I can touch not just the future; but the past... and present as well."

Mallymkun Dormouse "Watch it, Adam." Mally tryed to project her voice for she was still turned in the opposite direction as she walked. Adam always seemed to find the perfect ways to annoy her, but then again, so did every creature in wonderland for that matter, "My sword is no longer a toothpick, sir." She sassed on the last word.As the group began to pass the abandonned castle, Mally's gaze driffted to the ruins. She wondered what had occupied the what once looked like a great structure, "Wow..." she whispered.

"I can't spell," Katty said almost defensevly. "That's the words of the song." Then her face twisted in consentration and she tapped her paws on the side of the bag. Finally, she said "J-A-B-R-wock." She whipped around to look at Adam and Mally. "What's a toothpick?" Katty asked before following Mally's gaze to the castle. "Oh, wow!" She breathed. She tugged on Amelia's sleeve. "Can't we live there? How come we gotta go all the way to looking glass land? It's big enough, and no one else seems to want it." Katty began to refere subconciosly to Amelia and herself, maybe even Adam too, as a "we".

Adam and Amelia Amelia laughed at the kitten and patted her on the head. She was adorable, but she answered the kitten seriously.
"We can't live there. It's cursed. Besides, it's not going to be half as fun as looking glass land. I agree about meditation, Oracle. It's nice to be alone sometimes and concentrate on your magic. If I'm concentrating I can extend my mental scan far beyond that of my normal reach."
Amelia continued talking to the Kitten and the Caterpillar as to ignore her brother's latest anctics. She knew better than to tell him off by now, but she sent him a mental warning. She didn't want to have to heal a sword wound.
Adam took his twin's mental warning with tongue out at her. He rolled his eyes and looked at the abandoned castle with a frown. Just another symptom of the disease that was the Queen of Hearts. He spat in it's direction.
"Cursed is too nice a word. Everything that plague touches is laid to ruin."

Katty frowned slightly at Adam. It could take a while before she included him in her "we". But for the first time on that journey she heard about fun. "Half as fun as looking glass land." She repeated. She closed her eyes and imagined a place with red plastic playground slides and tiny trampolines scattered across the lush green landscape, while fruit drifted down from the sky and peeled itself at everyone's feet.
