Valentine smiled sweetly and she brought her hands in front of her, cupping them together. "You won't be taking the bike with you, correct?" She asked Xev when glancing over at the motorcycle which had been assigned to him. "If so, I'll be taking t back with me, so long as it is not a problem."
[[Sorry it is so short, I'm heading off on a trip today and I won't be back for a couple of days.]]

Valentine nodded and held out her hand for the keys. "I would like to here from you when you're finished setting up. Other then that I wish you all a safe trip."
Shigen eyed Valentine carefully, it was unlike her to come out here for a single person much to his distaste. "Will do." He replied shoving his hands into his pockets. "We should get going, who knows what'll slow us down on the road ahead." He shrugged and headed over to the driver's seat. "I call shot gun!" Ellie yelled cheerfully as she dashed over to the passenger seat.
"May I have a minute Xev?" Valentine asked.

Xev had a quizzical look on his face when Eliie yelled shotgun, but when she took the front seat on the passenger side he knew what she had meant.
" Yes M'am."
Xev stepped aside with Valentine, awaiting her usual speech about mission parameters and his place amongst the others. He figured she was going ot give him more orders as to what to do with the team.

Valentine walked Xev aside from the rest of the group out of ear shot. "We have more information on what you will be going after however, this remains top secret and at the highest importance." She said handing him off a small folder. "The item in question, as you will read, seems to be quite small in size though tracking it down will be hard enough. Also, for some damn reason, the higher ups thought it would be a perfect chance to watch you tie up some loose ends and to make it all the better they want you to figure it out by yourself." She sighed deeply and pinched the bridge of her nose. "I have enough trouble running around after people now-a-days and then just love to add to my work load," she groaned muttering curses under her breath. "Anyways, once you've gotten a hold of the package then you are to return to base, understood?"

" Xev placed the folder in his jacket, deciding to look at it later when he would be in a better position to view the contents carefully. He listened carefully to her instructions, showing apathy towards her plight. He seemed more focused rather on getting the job done, as he had been trained to do all those years at the compound.
" Understood m'am. I'll return as soon as I recover the item."

"Good." Valentine sifted her hand through her hair before placing both hands on her hips. "I wish you the best of luck and I will see you when I return." She nodded off to Xev before turning around to find the bike. With that, she popped the key in the ignition and was soon speeding off at high velocities, quickly disappearing.

Xev eyed her as she rode off, mixed feelings about this sudden development. He could tell the others would be expendable, knowing full well how central operated. He wondered what the artifact would be, and why they wanted it so bad that they would send their most overqualified pet to go get it. He looked over at the group still preparing for the trip, fully realizing why they didn't like him asking questions. He zipped up the leather jacket and strolled over to the van offering to help in any way he could before they set out.

While Xev was talking to Valentine, Shigen had finished loading up the truck. Ellie was waiting in the passenger seat literally twiddling her thumbs as she waited for the two to hop into the vehicle so they could get moving. Shigen turned down Xev's offer to help him load the items into the back as he closed the trunk. He then looked around trying to figure out where in the world Akira was. "Looks like she's not going to show up and say goodbye," he murmured stepping up into the hummer. "Alright Xev, time to move out." Saying that, Shigen pushed the key into the ignition, and turned it as the engine growled to life. The whole truck was a buzz with the vibrations and noisy sounds. "Road trip!" Ellie called cheerfully as she cranked the volume on the radio station. Heavy metal filled the vehicle. Shigen rolled down his window, placing his left arm on the sill. "If everyone's ready..."

Xev nodded showing he was ready to embark. When they had pulled out and begun the drive Xev took the time to read the contents of the folder that Valentine had handed him, making sure the others could not see any particulars of what he was reading. He was fairly certain they were distracted as he read though, taking time to thoroughly examine the reading material.

It had been a few hours since they had been on the road and Shigen had decided to stop to fuel up on gas and get something to eat. "Are you two hungry?" He asked as he parked the car. "Yup!" Ellie replied cheerfully as she unbuckled herself. "How about you fill up the tank and I'll go get some munchies?" She asked as she slipped outside.
"Sounds like a plan. Is there anything you want Xev? Or do you need a washroom break?" Shigen asked as he opened the door, looking at the man in the backseat through the rear view mirror out of the corner of his eye.

" I've had quite my fill of 'food' these past few days I'll be fine for a long while. IS there anything I can do to assist you guys while we are here? I'd hate to feel like a bum by doing nothing."
He discretely stashed the documents back in his jacket ash he spoke with Shigen.

"It's fine, besides, I can assure you that you'll have plenty of work ahead. Just take the time to relax." He shrugged stepping out of the vehicle. He closed over the door and walked around the hummer to the gas tank. He opened it up manually with two fingers and then unscrewed the cap. He held onto it as he grabbed a hold of the gas pump and pressed the nozzle into the tank as the gasoline began to fill the container.
Ellie had soon returned with a bundle of junk food including healthier options such as sandwiches and water. Most of the food, however, consisted of pop, chips, candy bars and gum. She passed them over to Xev in the back from the front seat before closing the door over.

Xev took time to walk around a bit, stretching his arms and legs while Shigen gassed up the car. Their surroundings had changed slightly, but to him it was like a dramatic shift. When Ellie came back with the goods he took his seat back in the car and took the goods Ellie placed in the back and set them down on the seat next to him.
" Are we due to arrive at our target location today?"

"Nope, it should take us about three days, if everything goes smoothly," Shigen said, sticking his head into the car. "You sure you don't need to do anything? We won't be stopping for at least twelve hours."
Ellie bounded up and down in the front seat, pulling open one of the sandwiches. She took a huge bite out of it and chewed happily, humming to herself quietly.
