Sami nodded. "Understood." She finished her meal then laid down where she was. She realized how tirering the climb down was and was asleep shortly.

((Sorry. Don't know about you, but the day should end soon))

((Okay, it’s night. If we're not going to face the Ice Wolves, feel free to skip to morning.))

Alexander slept as well as he ate. The deer was well made and it was some time since he ate all he could eat.

As the recruits rested, Vincent sat under a tree. Taking a moment to look around, Vincent didn’t saw anything alarming and closed his eyes. He slept lightly in case Mitsugi alerted him or wanted to rest.

((Dunno, I woulda liked a plot twist. But I'd only suggest doing it if you didn't mind that I won't be on every day anymore until I fixed my computer monitor. sweatdrop I will be able to get on at least Tuesday and Friday, as long as my mom isnt home and her computer is working. I may be able to get on more than that.))

Kade yawned, taking one glance around and saw no other fires or animals. Grinning, he muttered a happy, "Good night!" before falling asleep.

Star was immediately fast asleep. One hand rested on her stomach and the other was behind her head. She slept soundly and peacefully.

Mitsuki sat back up while everyone else went to sleep, and looked around. Sighing she stood and stretched herself. It would be quite a long night. Almost inaudibly she sang a small song that her mom sang about places like Cinora and Samund to her as a child. Mitsuki couldn't help but smirk. The songs were so silly, talking about ice wolves and other stories about the more dangerous places of the area.

((I don't mind plot twists if anyone has one. I got one up my sleeve, but it'll take a while...
And I don't mind if you won't be on daily. The RP will slow down a little, it's alright. I appreciate you're telling me.))

((Hm... Well, I'm afraid I'd keep you guys waiting. And by the time I have the time, I'll probably forget the plot twist in mind XD
It's no problem, I hope I get my monitor fixed too.))

(( If it's alright I'll skip the night and let the party arrive at Samund. ))

That night the Ice Wolves did not attack them. As Vincent lead the party to Samund, they came across a few villagers. They seemed to have left their village and were heading towards Samund. The villagers moved in groups, the young and healthy walked, while the old and injured sat in carts. Taking a quick glance at the wounds of the injured, Vincent recognized it were made by wild animals.
'No wonder the Wolves weren't interested in us.' It bothered him that he couldn't offer his help to the villagers, but the Shendai Lord was clear to them not to reveal they were Knights of the Shendai Order. And during these times, no stranger would help out someone without any form of payment.

The journey got boring since last night. The only excitement so far was faling over a dead bandit. To be honest Alexander hoped the pirates would attack them, so he'd get some excersize. But he quickly changed his mind. If the pirates would attack, the other passengers could get injured.

((All right))

Mitsuki stared over to the villagers, for once showing emotion: sorrow. She knew she couldn't help them. And it pained her to know such a thing. Slowly she turned her head away, unable to look at them any longer. Narrowing her eyes, Mitsuki walked ahead silently, quickening her pace.

Star stuffed her hands in her pockets boredly, her head bobbing lightly as she walked cheerfully towards Samund.

Kade followed the rear, smiling reassuringly and hugely to the villagers for a short second before turning to look ahead and jumping happily along.

Sami kept her eyes moving. She had forgotten what it was like to see so many people in one place. Though it pained her that they had been forced to leave their homes and move, she sympathised with them. I want to help, but we promised the Shendai Lord that we'd keep the fact that we're of the Shendai order a secret... She moved with the flow of the crowed towards Samund.

Walking past the group of villagers, they entered Samund through a large gate.
Leading the group to the marketplace, Vincent turned around.
“Alright, we made it safely to Samund. I’ll head to the docks and learn when our ship leaves. Meanwhile, feel free to explore Samund. I guess the ship will leave this evening to avoid any pirates. We will meet at the tavern, The Drunken Dwarf.”

“The Drunken Dwarf? Not a very original name.” Alexander commented quietly, “So, we are to walk around and pass time till you know more?” You could clearly hear Alexander was already bored with the idea of walking around town.

“No, you are to pass time until our ship sets sail.” Vincent corrected him. It wasn’t his intention to linger here any longer. The sooner they got to Cinora the faster they could focus on their task.

Sami looked around her, at the crowds of the marketplace. She looked at Vincent and asked, "What time do you wish to meet up at the inn?"

"Hmph." Mitsuki shoved her hands in her pockets and stalked off towards the tavern, uninterested with roaming for the time being. She yawned once merely out of boredom, and shrugged past villagers as she walked toward the tavern.

-

Star glanced around, slightly overwhelmed by the many people. She hadn't been amongst such a large crowd since she was very young.

“Be sure to get to the inn before nightfall. From the inn we’ll leave for the docks.” The docks were a small maze and anyone not knowing their way would get lost. Seeing how Alexander managed to get lost in the woods, Vincent wouldn’t take any chances and lead the group to the ship.
“Should I find a ship that sets sail for Cinora during the day, we’ll come and tell you.” It seemed a waste of time to wonder the city, but if no other ship would take them with them, they would have to take the Siren’s Tears. Vincent waited before leaving to see if anyone had any questions, though he believed he said everything.

Alexander just nodded with a smile, “Okay, we’ll see you at the inn.” With that he walked of. Seeing the marketplace or the city was of little interest to him. When they walked past the villagers, Alexander noticed some injured. He’d find out what happened to them and help them.
‘Even if we can’t openly say we’re Shendai Knights, that doesn’t mean we can’t help them.’ He wouldn’t tell the other Knights of his intentions as he thought thy would stop him. Still, he could use some help. Hopefully Sami and Star wouldn’t think like the Knights and agree to help the villagers out.

"We'll be at the tavern!" Kane bounded off after Mitsuki toward the tavern after he called to the others. He felt that it would be the best place to hang around, just in case anything were to happen. It would be too troublesome to make Vincent roam the village if there were a change of plans.

-

Star looked to Alexander, wondering what he was thinking about. No doubt helping the villagers. But would the knights approve of this? She wasn't sure. As long as they didn't use their magic and announce that they were in the Shendai Order, everything should have been alright...

-

Mitsuki sat at a table in the tavern, drinking a cold glass of clear water while waiting for any news of the ship they would board on their way to Cinora. There wasn't much else to do, but she had the same ideas as Kade. And if something else were to go wrong, the two knights would hang out there so they could all gather and know someone was there.

Sami watched as Alexander left and wondered what he was up to. She stood a little uncertain of what she wanted to do, but then decided to just explore the town. She headed first to the inn, to see where it was and what it looked like, then turned and headed towards what she hoped was the marketplace. She then started to notice all the injured people. Much more than the ones in the caravan we where in...Somethings wrong here.

Walking up to one of the villagers, he looked at the man’s injured arm.
“What happened to you?” He asked. The wound was rapped with some piece of cloth and was poorly treated.

“Wolves! As big as two men! Eyes so cold!” His voice changed from shouted to whispering. It seemed he hasn’t come to his senses.
“Leave him alone!” A woman who was looking after her children walked next to the man, holding his head and patting it to reassure him.
“The wolves are gone, we are safe now.” It seemed the man was disoriented and still believed he was hiding from the wolves.
“Go to sleep and I’ll see if I can find a doctor or a healer.” Let the man rest, she turned to Alexander, “Can’t you see we have been trough a lot?”
“Yes and it wasn’t my intention to disturb him.” Alexander tried to explain his true intentions, “I want to know what exactly happened to you all.”
The woman stood silent. It seemed she didn’t want to talk about it, but seeing Alexander’s intentions were true, she told him.
“Wolves, Ice Wolves. They attack our villages last night. Normally they didn’t even leave the mountains, but now they even attacked a village. Not just ours, but a few.” It seemed she knew the Wolves pretty well, “My father was a hunter and he taught me about them. The Wolves don’t bother with Humans unless they invaded their territory. But they attack us. We didn’t do anything wrong.” From that point it was to hard to continue and she quickly walked away.
Looking over at all the villagers, Alexander would find out what happened.
‘Why did the Ice Wolves attack them? Turning around, Alexander saw Star.
“Hey, do you know anything about the Ice Wolves?” Alexander came from Licia and never travelled this far to the north. He had no knowledge of any creatures in these regions.

Walking from one dock to the next, a ship caught his eye.
“The Siren’s Tears, glad to see you survived.” Vincent smiled to see it in the exact same shape as before the war.

“Can I help you?” An old man with a long beard had seen Vincent’s interest in the ship.
“You can if this is your ship.” Vincent replied.
“It is, but I’m not certain if I can be of any help.” The captain walked on and wouldn’t deal with Vincent.
“My friends and I are looking for a ship to take us to Cinora. Before the war you often took travellers across, I was hoping that offer is still open.”
“The war has changed many things, lad, one of them is the trust amongst people. Who’s to say you’re not a pirate, who will murder me in my sleep and take my ship.” Taking a good look at Vincent, he quickly saw the error in his judgement, “Well, if you want across, it’ll ost you. And you’ll be bringing your own food!”
“I will have to talk this over with my friends. When do you leave?”
“Early in the morning, before the pirates are awake.”
“The I shall return tomorrow with the pay and my friends.” Vincent had barely any gold to pay for all six, plus they needed some gold to stay a night at the inn. To look for another ship came to mind, but most captain would demand a pay. The war did change a lot.
