After a while, Artes stood up and stepped outside, leaning against the stone wall and looking out across the strange waters.

They seemed so beautiful, serene, but Zeal had said they were dangerous. Maybe all of nature was truly dangerous. Maybe safety was an illusion of the mind and he had no hope of defeating it's snare, but that didn't bother him. Even the illusion of being safe when he stared into Zeal's eyes was enoughe to make Artes happy. Why it did, the elf had no idea, but it was a simple thing and it didn't feel like it would go away.

Artes could not tag this feeling. It was strange and slippery, but it was something he could live with.

Anyway, what happened so far is this:

Artes, an elf left his home and traveled to a nearby town in order to save his home village. He managed to get a ride from some people in a caravan. While he was on his way to town, Zeal joined the caravan and they talked for a bit before the caravan was attacked. Zeal and the dragon Valden fended off the attacking monsters, and since everyone ran away except Artes, they gave him a ride to town. After finishing what they had done in town, they left and met up with Valden again. Not only that, but an assasin, a fae named Kreen, that had been following them since they were in town decided to approach them, though Zeal had known all along that they were followed. While the fae and human were talking, Valden took Artes back to his village in the forest after the elf had seen something in a vision. It appeared that the village had been attacked and was now only ruins, and as soon as it had been confirmed that the vision unfortunatley was true, the dragon returned to Zeal with the elf. Zeal and Valden decided to bring the two other with them to the dragons nest. Meanwhile a young fae, Dricoleth, a well known prankster in his hometown decided to leave his home and see the world. When he left the areas he had known his whole life, he however got lost. Valden and the three travelers arrived at the dragons nest and each to a place to sleep.

That's about all that has happened. I think I got it right.))

((Heh, nice guys. Thanks for the support too. I have an applicant for the sixth slot but my brother is still working on getting into the guild, new to gaia as he is. Thus... I might make a seventh slot for him, depending on how things go.))

((And welcome Mr. Six! By the way. You are in the Gray Waste, the only desert on the map. It happens to be the most monster infested region on this landmass and you are on the surface too. There are canyons that are scattered all over the waste and don't have monsters in them but the black sand desert on the surface is... full of them.))
