Jitka looked up, as she heard footsteps outside. No, not footsteps, pawsteps.
"Ehh?" Anrea asked, only half awake now. Jitka had said something, and it sounded important...But she was so tired. Jitka got up, to see what was going on outside, but was frustrated to find that the door wasn't like Trixie's, and that she couldn't open it.
she asked of Anrea."Bleah," Anrea said, but got up from the chair, opened the door, and peered around outside, unable to see anything. Jitka asked, convinced that she had seen a flash of white outside. Touma? Was that him out there? Why was he sneaking around out there? the voice came out of the forest, obviously female, despite being slightly deep sounding.
A Koivou stepped into the open, tiger striped, with a white tail, and purple eyes.Anrea blinked, but didn't even bother questioning why the Koivou had followed them here. She wanted to go back to sleep. "You wanna come inside? It's warm in here, and we're about to have dinner." She didn't wait for an answer, just went back to her chair so she could go back to sleep, and she would trust Jitka to shut the door behind her. Byakuen, taken aback, hesitated, before stepping inside the strange human building. The not-human had been right, and it was much warmer in there.
She looked around at the others gathered around the room, curious. She had seen the humans and Koivou and not-humans at that one human building, but why had the Koivou come here, away from their home? Jitka introduced herself, oblivious to what was going through the other female's mind.
she said, pointing to her children, and quite proud of them, even if they were asleep.

Takumi mumbled upon hearing his name mentioned, before falling back asleep. Who was there? Oh well. No one seemed alarmed, so it was best to go back to sleep.
Mayes glanced up, stood, and nudged Gouka to get up. Really, when he was asleep, he was asleep.
<'lo. Name's Mayes.> He introduced himself to Byakuen, and trotted towards the kitchen to inform the others of the newcomer.
"Schwa? What?" Gouka rubbed his eyes as he woke slowly, groggy, tired, and still half-asleep. He perked up a bit upon seeing the 'newbie,' and quickly introduced himself.
"'ello, 'ello! I'm Gouka! Nice ta' meet ya'! Are you hungry? Cold? Tired?"

she had never been around so many people in her life, and her eyes darted to the door. But it was so much nicer in here than out there...
She didn't want to admit weakness to this stranger, but everything he had said was true.
she said, not sure if they would be willing to share with her or not. The not-human had mentioned dinner, though, and dinner meant a meal, and a meal meant food.
"Food soon. Sleep now," Anrea said, from her position in the chair.
She wondered if her mother and Tails were cooking enough food for the extra mouth. Probably. Her mother always cooked too much. Where had her father gotten off to? She had no idea. He had to be around somewhere, though.

Gouka plopped back down onto his claimed armchair, snuggling into the cushions.
"Grab a chair, grab a spot on the floor... and just relax." He spoke the last in a sing-song voice, obviously showing his lack and need of sleep. After a series of awkward giggles, he fell unconcious once more.
Mayes happened to enter the living area at that time. He blinked, stared, but said nothing. Sometimes, it was better not to ask.

Karma said very groggy. She tryed bowing while on the floor.
She pionted to Karma.
Tails was busy in the kitchen making Gou's rice and Rea's sugar cake and Jitka's sugar-free cake. The half girl half wolf wagged her tail. She finished up the cakes and rice. "I'll be right back. I'm going to tell everyone the food is almost done." Tails walked into the den where everyone was. She saw the new female. "Hello. May I ask who you are? Oh and the food is almost done everyone."

She looked at the gray Koivou who had re-entered the room, and realized what looked so different about him. He was one of the old ones, one of only five (currently) that she had seen.
Another not-human. But then, there seemed to be a lot of them with the Koivou. This one was wolf like, though, instead of the three foxes that she had seen.
she told Tails.
Anrea's mom worked on setting the table when Tails left, glad for the help. The girl was indeed a very good cook, and had been extremely helpful.
Anrea's dad came down the stairs that moment, carrying an armful of blankets and pillows.
"I hope you don't mind camping out down here, but we're short on spare beds."
Many of the couches were easily large enough to double as beds, anyway, and he placed the pile on one such couch. Arms thus cleared of their burden, he noticed the new poof.
"Another one, eh," he said to himself, as he went to the kitchen to help set the table.
Byakuen stared after him. Apart from the human who had saved so many Koivou, he was the first true human she had seen. She wondered why true humans were so rare, if something bad had happened to them as well.
Jitka said, happily. She wanted to eat the yummy cake!
She noticed that Devika was still sleeping, and so she let her daughter be. She would wake her up when the food was ready.

Mayes moved over to the stack of blankets and pillows, grabbed a particularly soft looking comforter, and went to wrap the two kitlings in it. It wouldn't be good if they were to catch a cold, and he was sure they'd probably have fun with the puffy-thing later.
He glanced over at Gouka, sighed, and did the same for him, piling another blanket on top of him, adjusting it so he was no more than an unidentifiable mound on the armchair. How amusing.
Kika fluttered out from behind one of the cupboard doors in the kitchen, having found herself stuck in there while Tails and 'Rea's mother were cooking. It was nice to be free, back in the light... She flew over to Byakuen, hovering over her for a few moments before settling herself down onto one of her ears. Who was this? She was soft and fuzzy, that was for sure, a lot like the others. The two smaller ones were probably made an even better rest, but she dare not risk the chance of being caught by their claws.

Byakuen held still in awe. It had been so long since there had been familiars in the forest, but this grey Koivou had one. Her respect for him rose: not only had he undoubtedly survived the reign of the Demon, but he had a familiar, as well.
Devika stirred a little as Daddy wrapped her and Takumi, mostly to reposition herself closer to her brother. It felt all nice and warm and fuzzy all around her, now, and she liked that.
"The turkey is almost done cooking. All we need to do now is finish setting the table, and getting plates out for the poofs."
((Because 'Rea's mother never heard about the official species name, that's why. 3nodding ))

Kika fluttered her wings in relief, glad that this one didn't try to catch her. Quite the opposite, she remained still, and the butterfly didn't have to worry about keeping her balance. She liked this one, she decided.
Mayes made his way towards Jitka, gently nuzzling against her cheek as he 'patrolled' around the living room, making sure everyone had a spot to sleep. He hadn't noticed Byakuen's sense of awe, though he did find it...interesting how she froze when Kika landed on her. He had dismissed it, though, with 'to each their own' running through his head. After all, he wasn't exactly...normal, either. Not after being raised by a boy like Gouka, in any case.
Takumi let out a small yawn, and snuggled up to Devika. Whatever Daddy had wrapped them it, it felt good and fuzzy and warm, and he liked it. Though, there were yummy smells in the air, too, and he could feel his stomach churn a bit...he was hungry, but he didn't want to get up. The dilemma!

Jitka nuzzled back, wondering if they should wake the kits, or just leave them to sleep.
She thought her new sister was oddly still, but then, Touma didn't move around that much either, so she dismissed it.
"Dinner's ready!" Anrea's mom said, once all of the places had been set, the turkey had been taken out of the oven, and a whole row of extra plates lined the counter for the poofs.
Anrea took a moment to get up. Or rather, it took her until the smell of potatoes reached her, before she leaped out of the chair, and made a run for the kitchen.
"Potatoes!" she shouted her war cry, as she dashed through the kitchen door.
Byakuen decided that the not human was very, very odd, and probably should be avoided. Who knew what things someone like that could do.
This left her with a dilemma, though. She wanted to go eat, but she didn't want to disturb the familiar, either. So slowly, she got up, careful to keep her ear still, as she slowly followed the crazy not-human.

The familiar gently patted Byakuen's ear to the best of her abilities, happy that she was moving, since it was towards the food. She'd have Mayes sneak her a piece of fruit, or something, and then she'd take a nap on the new one's ear.
The grey koivu trotted over to the mound that was supposedly Gouka as dinner was announced, grabbed a mouthful of blanket and sleeping bag, and threw them off the boy, instantly exposing him to the somewhat chill air of the house.
"Nng!" He cried softly, attempting to bury into the couch. "I don't want to go to school...leave me 'lone..."
He sighed.
The thought of no food got Gouka up immediately as he sprang into action. Sure, he might've lost to 'Rea at lunchtime, but this time, for sure, he'd steal her potatoes! Well...unless she had a steak knife, in which case he shuddered at the very thought of getting near her plate.
"Food!" He cheered, and hopped towards the kitchen.
Takumi stirred as the others woke, the smell of even more food drifting into the blanket. It smelled good. But he didn't want to get up, since he'd wake Devika. His mouth was shut, but his stomach seemed to whimper as he shifted uncomfortably underneath the blanket.

Everything was so loud. The first thing Devika became aware of was the smell of something good, which made her realize that she had walked some of the way there, but hadn't eaten since lunch time. She wanted food.
Was Takumi awake, though? She didn't want to wake him up if he was still sleeping.
Jitka decided that she would save something for her children, if they didn't manage to get up before dinner was over. Thank goodness they were still small, and didn't eat that much.
Byakuen wondered what the "school" the not-human boy was talking about was, but she was hungry, and she smelled food.
She had to resist the urge to back out of the kitchen, though, when she was suddenly surrounded by so many strange things. Couches and chairs and a light bulb a bit overheard and a fireplace and four enclosing walls she could take. Big squarish things that made odd buzzing noises and beeps and blinked things at her, she couldn't.
Anrea's mother looked at the newest one for a moment, but didn't say anything, although it seemed that every time she turned around, her daughter was acquiring new poofs.
"And what do you want?" she asked of all the poofs, since the poor dears couldn't serve themselves. She wondered how they could possibly survive without hands.

Yuri sniffed the air. The turkey smelled so good. She got up and tryed her best to walk not run to the table.
She calmly walked into the dining room.
"Um Rea you need to save some for the others... " She put the suagr cake on the conter and the non sugar in a chair for the poofs.

Anrea's father was the unlucky one voted to save the potatoes from her, although since it looked very much like he was blocking a mountain of white fluff, it seemed doubtful that even Anrea could eat that many potatoes by herself.
"We've got turkey, rice, potatoes," Anrea's mom hesitated, not sure if the newcomer, seemingly wild, knew how to spell, before she realized that the kits were still asleep. Or at least not around to hear. "And cake. But don't mention that word around the kits."
Obviously, she didn't know why, but she would take her daughter's word that something bad would happen.
The "potatoes" the human pointed to didn't look like potatoes, Koivou didn't eat birds and turkey was a bird, and she didn't know what rice or cake were. Yuri was going to have some of the bird. And Karma was going to have some of the rice. So she supposed that meant that Koivou could eat them, at least.
she said. She hadn't eaten for a few days, and it would be nice to have the whole big bird to herself, but she would settle for what the human put on her plate.
Both things were good, at least.
She wanted potatoes, before Anrea ate them, and rice was yummy, and turkey was yummy, and cake...She wanted cake!
she said, as Anrea's mother placed a bit of everything on her plate, and placed it in front of her.
"That was the sugar free cake, right?" Anrea whispered to her mother. She was a bit afraid of what would happen if Jitka had the cake with the sugar.
"Yes, we did make it for the poofs, after all," Anrea's mother whispered back, not quite sure she wanted to know what was going on.
"Good. POTATOES!" Anrea tried to grab some potatoes in a surprise attack, but her father was used to her ways, and quickly stopped the attempt.
"Not until everyone else has had a chance to have some," he said, firmly.
Anrea took a plate of everything else, and went over to the table to sulk. She wanted her potatoes now.
