"So, where's the cake?" Mwu said sarcastically as he walked up to Kira. "I'm starving, kid. I could use a little chocolate right about now."
Murrue ignored Mwu's requests for food. "What a wonderful ceremony, Kira. Congratulations."

"Sure," Dearka replied and led her. She then mentioned Yzak. "His name's Yzak... he's a bit hot-headed though..." He laughed and saw his friend who had paused for a moment. "Hey, Yzak!" He called to him and waved. "Let's get refreshments together!"

Kira laughed slightly. "I'm sure you did," he replied to Kairynn.
Turning to Mwu, he smiled. There's some chocolate by the table you can get if you are really craving it Mwu. Nodding to Murrue, he added "Thank you very much Ms. Murrue."

"Hmpf." Yzak responded gruffly to Dearka's comment about him. He continued walking as they drew closer in but didn't bother to slow his walk for them. He didn't like the idea of being a "third party". Although it would have been best for him to slow down a bit because he soon found himself bumping into someone.
"Whatch it!" He blurted out though it wasn't intentional. He looked ahead of him to find that he had accidently bumped into Shinn. Yzak moved to the side quickly. "Sorry about that." He said stiffly. It felt a bit humiliating to have to apologize to a subordinant.

Lacus had been greeting the guests as they exited the church. She leaned against Kira as he put his arm around her. Turning to Kairynn, she also wished to add her thanks. "Yes, they will be lovely pictures Kairynn. I hope you can enjoy yourself before your work starts."

Meyrin had followed her sister out of the church, and was now walking ahead of Luna and Shinn to get some drinks for the three of them. I wonder if I can still balance cups the way I did at home yesterday...She pondered how to carry the three drinks back as she poured them.

Miriallia nodded. "Yzak... he leads his own team in the ZAFT military I think...." Seeing Yzak still avoiding them she sighed contently. This is one person who would probably speak to her 3 months later. Making their way outside, she allowed Dearka to help her to the refreshment table where she proceeded to pour herself and him some drinks. Handing a cup over to him, she looked about as everyone crowded outside. "How strange..." she murmured, noticing a sudden flash off something in a nearby bush. "That's a... a camera?" she said outloud. "None of the media knows of the event..."
Luna let Shinn go and watched as Meyrin ran off to get drinks. Noticing Shinn peering at something, she saw his eyes wandering openings within the walls of the church's upper floor. "What is it?" She asked him, right before Yzak bumped into them. Shinn received more of the collision than she did. Turning, she went to scold the man, but then Luna flinched, recognizing him. Joule was superior to them after all. She bowed slightly, then straightened, looking towards Shinn. She hoped his temper wouldn't flare for the disruption.

Kairynn curtsied to Lacus. "Oh don't worry, I have been enjoying myself. But I suppose work cannot be that bad, can it?"

"I'm okay," Shinn commented, too distracted by what he had seen to get mad. Shoot, he had lost sight of that weird glint. He peered intently at the grille, spotting a flash of metal. It looked eerily like a gun... but where was it pointed? He attempted to follow its direction, though without seeing the other end of the gun it was difficult.
That guy... did he see the gun? The figure in the shadows cursed. It just meant the mission had to be executed quickly or else that guy was going to get suspicious.
The gun was in position. The only thing left was to pull the trigger.
Which the figure did.
A distinct 'bang' sound could be heard, one that Shinn immediately took as a gun shot. It was only then that he realized where the gun was pointed at. Running towards where the bullet was aimed, he yelled, "EVERYONE GET DOWN!"
He then put his arms in front of him and shoved a certain blonde out of the way of the bullet, which buried itself in the floor behind them. Maybe he'd regret saving Cagalli Yula Athha some day, but he'd carry on with life.

Miriallia heard a bang and ducked as Dearka covered her from what they both knew was a gun being fired. Then she saw Cagalli and another man dodging to the side. After an eerie silence, she heard a flurry of shutters and rollers as another girl went to help the two of them. CAMERAS...she realized with an inward groan. It sounds like quite a few of them are around....Oh Cagalli....this is not good....
Luna jolted and ducked as Shinn shot past her. The gunshot rang as if from a distance, yet the bullet travelled to its mark...not far from where she stood. She gasped at it, then ran over to help Shinn and the gunman's target: Cagalli Yula Athha.

Lacus gasped and held on to Kira nervously as the gunshot rang out. "Cagalli! Shinn!" She called out.

Yzak knelt down the the ground as he heard the shot resound through the air. He didn't get a chance to see who was the target or if anyone had gotten hurt; however, he was upset that he hadn't even realized that someone unwelcomed was around. He swiftly reached behind him and grabbed his gun, which he always made sure to carry with him, and pointed it to where he figured the gunshot had came from. He glared at the spot, no one was there.

Kira shielded Lacus as the shot blasted through the reception area. He heard Lacus call out Shinn and Cagalli's names and quickly took her to where Luna was helping them up.

Andrew saw Yzak reach for a gun, and he too did the same, pulling out his revolver. Running over to wear Yzak stood, he slowly lowered his gun. "The shooter got away..." he muttered angrily.

Mrs. Yamato muffled herself. To stop the panic going about, she quickly ushered as many people towards the churchway as possible...
