Phorce looked around quickly. Where would be a good place to sit? Inspiration.
"How about the garden? Besides, you look like you could use the air. And how about you start from the beginning? After Nova took you aside?"
Phorce didn't need the explanation so much as he needed some time to think. Even before he came to the School to study, and learn how to better control his..'gift', he'd asked a similar question. If the original purposes of the X-Men and the Brotherhood - even if by different routes - were to gain acceptance, or at least some sort of respect from non-mutants for mutants... hadn't that been achieved? Weren't mutants now in the majority over all those Sapiens?
The question still rang as hollowly as ever.

Nytestalk headed in the direction that Echo had pointed. "Uh, I used to make brownies alot with my grandmother." she offered. Then, as an after thought, "It's been a loooong time ago." Seems like an entire lifetime... she thought.

Wing had left leaving David to himself finally and walked around the halls whistling to himself,"I wonder will Nova let him really become one of us? Also I wonderer if any of his old friends remember him. Possibly Nytestalk but i dont know yet."

((please don't. It will pick up, it's just that everything has become a little...slow with all the vacationers and summer activities...))

Tobias looked over and saw that Shift was trying to control her human form, but she apparently wasn't able to concentrate well enough. Whatever it was that had happened had really gotten to her.
"Look, you don't have to keep up appearances here, her know that, don't you? Your a mutant: no different from the rest of us. You don't have to hide yourself."
Tobias didn't want to make a scene, and besides, with the majority of the world inhabited by mutants there was no reason for anyone to hide themselves. "By the way, Shift, what's your real name?"
He glanced over at her as they walked out into the garden, his eye carrying over to a fair sized monument on the lower terrace lawn. it was supposed to have an engraving dedicated to the Founder of the School, but Tobias was yet to look closely at it. instead, he returned his attention to Shift, and extended his hand, "It's Tobias, by the way."

"It's nice to meet you Allison," Tobias shook her hand. He sat on a bench and leaned back. The extending limbs of an elm provided some shade.
"I meant what I said, you know, you should feel free to show who you really are." Tobias looks over at Allison, and smirks. After a moment he turns his head slightly back towards the mansion.
In the back of his mind, Tobias had picked up the habit of keeping track of the various people he has been able to identify by their energy signatures. What had caught his attention was the sudden proximity of Echo and the slightly older mutant: the one from the Danger Room simulation. He turns his attention back to Allison, though. "So, now that you've calmed down a bit, you wanna talk about what happened?"

Phorce blinked in surprise. It took a moment to think this over. "The Brotherhood and the X-Men are sworn enemies. One has not been able to glance at the other without violence." That was a fact, wasn't it?
"Are you sure? Is it that he was unable to hurt you? Or did he actuallly not hurt you, Shift? That's the most important factor."
If it was voluntary non-violence... A new surge of excitement was building inside of him. This could be the evidence he'd been wanting to find all this time. If even one of the Brotherhood could realize it...then others would, too. A word that had only been a dream since before living memory came to mind: 'peace'.

Since Nytestalk left, Echo was about to make her way to the kitchen alone, when she was approached by that mutant from the training room. She looked up, momentarily studying his face, as she hadn't had a chance to properly look at him before "No, I haven't sorry." she said, then paused, "I can hear them though." she said, listening, they were actually quite close. "I can take you to them, they're this way." she said following the sound of their voices.

Phorce looked thoughtfully into the distance. Dissent in the Brotherhood. That meant that even if a large enough group within the Brotherhood did want peace, then there'd still be a series of conflicts. But if Nova realized this, as well, then this was the best time, and the best opportunity to do something, wouldn't it?
He looked back to Shift as she asked about the training session. They had been interrupted, hadn't they? "I'm certain we'll have another session." Phorce glanced up towards the garden proper in time to get a sense of Echo's and the other mutant's signatures. They were headed their way. "In fact...," the pair turned the corner and entered the garden just a moment later, "I guarentee it," Phorce smiled.
