Haha, by four you mean the LotR trilogy (or tri-volume, if you want to technically adhere to what Tolkien intended) and the Hobbit, right? If so, the Silmarillion is a great place to go next. It tells of the First Age (and more) from a mainly Elvish point of view. It really sheds light on Elven history.

Well, I'm Xen and I'm majorly obsessed with Tolkien. Seriously, I took this obsession test once, and without cheating on it I scored 97% obsessed...that's a bit scary. eek I like the movies, even if they have many mistakes in them...*shakes fist at Peter Jackson*...but my real obsession is for the books. I own as many books by Tolkien as my meager money will buy me, but not all of them...yet. blaugh I do own The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, The Silmarillion, Unfinished Tales, The Tolkien Reader, and the first five volumes of HoME though. I am also taking Sindarin, and already know a bit of Quenya as well. If you don't know what those are, you are not even near obsessed enough. My other obsessions include Dragons, Literature, History, Biology, Graphic Design, Interior Design, Writing, Duct tape(don't ask), Safety Pins, and other various and random things that I can't think of at the moment because I have so many obsessions. But Tolkien's works are at the top of my list.

I love LOTR.. some swedish friend recommended me the books but couldn't get them then i saw the first movie by Peter Jackson and i absolutely loved it and then went to the books and well.. the story continues, i love Tolkien's work, my favourite book is the Silmarillion.
Well, i was in university for hotel & food management but changed careers to graphic design starting on september (i want to be like alan lee sweatdrop ), live in mexico, i was a clown and i hope that in the new university i will go there's still a clown group cause being a clown is awesome. I love movies, i am a die-hard movie fan and i work in art department in films.. also some scripts too and directing and whatever necessary (2nd goal, work in films and earn an academy award sweatdrop ). Anyway, haven't been around much in gaia but damn i am very active so you'll see me around here or in LOTR subforum or independent/cult movies/tv subforum, maybe in the books one too anda in the art gallery just lurking.
I also love drawing, pretty much all kinds of music, belly dancing, learning languages and everything computer related.. oh and traveling too

Hi, I'm ebbster, and I came to love the hobbit after I was reluctant to read it and persuaded by my brother and my mom. I first listened to the original book-on-tape of the Hobbit, and loved it. I was so amazed by The Lord of the Rings because the Hobbit pales in comparison and that was a really really good book! The funny thing that I think about is that Tolkien was a linguist, not a writer. And he doubted anyone besides himself would like his books! When I heard about the movies coming out, I was excited and doubtful. If they had messed it up, I might have seen the books in a bad light from then on! but I now hold a deep respect for Peter Jackson, who made into three movies the books that the author himself called "unfilmable". It took, what, eight years to make the movies. God..... I love the acting (but I think Orlando could have done a bit better), I love how it sticks strictly to the story, I hate how they took out Tom Bombadill (but I can understand why. It would be, like, a four hour movie if it did!) and I absolutely love the scenery.... *melts with envy* I wish I could go there....
I am what you might call the hormone-less one. I never have and don't want a love life, I've never even had a simple crush. My friends say I'm a dissapointment 'cause they can't tease me like I do them. I like The Tamora Pierce books, Phillip Pullman's His Dark Materials series, Brian Jacques Redwall, Harry Potter... (the list goes on and on and on and on....) Never had a very large friend group until highschool, and I'm in the sci-fi club (though it's really the club with anything to do with fiction) and I'm a fairly good student, but lazy. I spend almost all of my spare time either reading books, or reading on the computer (or various other internet-related things). Okay, I think that's enough about me.... bye! I'm glad I just joined! I think I will love it!

When I hit 30, I still not crush. when I'm older, I will hold firm!!!!!!!!! yes, It is a point of pride for me to 'have no hormones' every other person in my school is raging, but I am not! so take that! *sticks tongue out childishly*

Hello everybody!!! My name is Katie and I am 14 years (soon to be 15). I love LOTR, I bet the biggest fan in my school.....eh....I'm such a nerd, actually I'm not really but when I wrote that, it sounded really nerdy. I also like POTO, Harry Potter, and gnomes.
