"So far," she held up her right hand and watched as blue flames danced along her pale skin, "This has absolutely no purpose that I know of. It doesn't do anything. What is it for?" She looked up at Tomas, the question in her eyes.

"Hmm..." He scratched his head. "It could just be your aura reacting to your emotions, over loading it and causing it to take on a physical form...." Do you know Rose?
I've seen plenty of magical happenings in my day Tomas, but this has me stumped..
"GET BACK HERE!" Nick shouted, which could be heard clear to the edge of the forest.
Seth was to far into the forest to hear Nick yelling at him.

Sabel was about to sigh in exasperation but stopped and stood silent. "...Did you hear that?"

Tomas nodded. "Nick..I'd recognize his voice any where..." Tomas ran into his room and came back carrying two swords: one short and one hand and a half sword. He handed the short sword to Sabel. "Can you use one of these?"
"BLOODY HELL!" Nick pulled his sword out and ran into the woods.
Seth heard Nick shout this time and panicked slightly. "Just what i need, a drunk knight chasing after me..."

She looked at the swords and reached for the hilt of the short sword. Grasping the hilt in her left hand she looked at it carefully. It was perfectly balanced and razor sharp. "This, I can use. It's beautiful...Where did you get it?"
Sam decided to use this moment to make himself noticed. His figure blurred slightly as he became something enormous that Sabel had never seen before. His coat was golden brown and his canines protruded from his mouth curving slightly like ivory sabers as they lengthened. His tail was extremely short, and as he moved thick muscles rippled along his back, legs, and shoulders. He was predator... and everything else in his path was prey.

Tomas strapped his sword around his waist. "I got it a long time ago..I don't remember who gave it to me.."
Seth ran as fast as he could, passing by a large tree when someone grabbed hold of his arm and pulled him out of sight. "What do you want?!" Seth asked in a fearful voice.
"Thou should keepth thine mouth shut..." A horse voice whispered in his ear.
"Who are you?"
"Thy name is Michael, and ye must be Seth...son of the king that rulest this land."
Tomas looked wide eyed at Sam. "Wow..." was all he could manage.

Tomas' expression made Sam purr with amusement.
Sabel strapped the sword to her waist so that it would be easy to reach in a hurry, if need be.

"That's me....how did you know?"
"Thy father ist mine great great grandson...I think.." he scratched his head.
"How could that be? You lived over 700 years ago..."
"I found mine own way to become immortal.."
Tomas smiled. "We just have to wait for Nick to come back...So let's go sit out front.." he opened the door and walked out, waiting for Sabel.

Sabel followed Tomas out of the cottage and sat beside him on the fresh crisp grass.

"I forgot something, I'll be right back Sabel.." Tomas stood and headed into the house.
Nick stopped looking for Seth and started to walk back to the cottage when he spotted Sabel sitting alone. Finally, I get my chance... He pulled out his sword and slowly walked towards Sabel.

Sam padded up to Sabels side and sat down beside her. A slight breeze ruffled his tan glossy coat and the sun reflected off his saber teeth. When sitting, Sams head was almost at the same level as Sabels when she was sitting. It was possibly even a fraction of an inch higher. What do you think Tomas forgot? He asked looking ahead his ears twitching.
I don't know... A flicker of movement to her right caught her eye she looked towards it and drew in a sharp breath as she saw Nick dashing towards her, his sword drawn. She grabbed her short sword and held it in front of her attempting to parry his blow. She blocked the blow that would have sunk into her heart and ended her life. "Tomas!"

Tomas rushed outside, his sword drawn. "Run Sabel!"
Nick turned, a surprized look on his face. "I thought you were dead!"
Tomas slashed at Nick, tearing his shirt.

Sabel took advantage of Nicks moment of distraction. She brought her hilt down on his temple hoping that she had enough strength to knock him unconscious. There was a loud crack as her sword hilt connected with Nicks skull. "I told you," she smiled grimly, "We do this together."

Nick stumbled slightly, blood running down the side of his head, but the blow Sabel delt him wasn't enough. "You shouldn't have done that!" Nick lunged at her and managed to cut her arm.
Tomas snarrled and ran his sword through Nick's heart.
Nick had a surprized look on his face as he fell forward.

"Ah!" Sabel exclaimed putting a hand over her bleeding cut. Blood oozed through her fingers. She stared at Nicks lifeless body in shock. "He's...dead?"
