He laughed, "Yeah when the tower appeared...We were sent out to investigate....." he looked ahead, his hands deep in his pockets. "So...what did you want to talk about?" he asked, honestly not sure. He had made it a point not to read people's minds; as it was against the laws set by the king. He was in the dark as to how the girl was feeling except of course for the adorable blush she had on her face. His own blush was deeping behind his Marks.

Nayana closed her eyes and began to mumble the spidery language of magic.....slowly the world warped, and Aislin was left standing in her garden alone...

"Well... um..." Hunter looked ahead at the ground as they walked along. She hadn't really known why she wanted to talk to him, but it just felt like she needed to. Something he was saying about... "Oh I didn't want to talk in front of Sasuke about the whole training thing. He's my brother's best friend and my guardian. I felt bad putting a whole buttload of pressure on him. Well, more pressure than I already have today." She sighed with a look of sadness on her face. As she had been talking her eyes began to drift back to the sky.

He nodded in understanding, "Sometimes though...you have to break away from what you know....So you can learn more things., better things. It seems Sauske needed some time away as well...." He continued to lead her down the street, the old gaslamp style street lights dotting their path in a way for the place to look more like a family place, and in this part of the Bastion, the military ways were all but forgotten. This was where the Keys would raise their family. "I think training would do well for you. Its saved so many people's lives...and there is so much more you can do! You learn to use your abilities to help people, to heal people....Fire Users are really able to impliment that when it comes to cauterizing wounds...they are the closest things we have to what could even resemble healers...." he spoke highly of the military because he believed so strongly in its cause, and it could be heard in his voice.

Hunter listened intently to Simon, taking note to his tone of voice and the feeling that came across in his words. Her head slowly began to shake back and forth as he described Fire Users as healers. "Fire... healing? Cauterizing wounds?" She paused as she contemplated the idea, but it didn't please her in the least. "I know I need training, and I want that. I do... but..." She took a slow deep breath and then looked over at Simon. "I don't want to fight. I... I just want to be normal. I know that's crazy around here. Normal... there hasn't been such a thing since before the war. But to be human, and not have to worry if I get too upset or angry or sad, and suddenly burst into flames..." Her voice trailed off and she stopped walking.

"Training lets you live like a normal person..." he sighed, "When i was younger....I couldn't even control my abilities...it was a rush of thought sometimes. I could hear everything; dreams, asperations, fears, joys....people's crushes...." he looked at her from the corner of his eye, then turned them again to the destiniation of a swingset, "You see....i had to learn to control it...and thanks to early developement of the abilites....even a little before the war...I was trained at the Magi Camps....just like my mother....and thanks to King Lydon....I was trained even further..."
PostPosted: Tue Nov 24, 2009 9:37 pm

She caught what he said about people's crushes and her blush began to deepen making another cold sweat break out on her forehead. The moonlight and light from the gaslamps flickered off her pale skin. "Well you were lucky. In the right place at the right time with the right people... I didn't end up so lucky. My mother hid us, changed our names, everything to avoid the truth. Now my brother is carrying on in her place. At least he is with me, but not with himself." She frowned and continued on besides Simon. She looked ahead and saw the park that Simon had mentioned they were going to. She hadn't been to one too recently, but she remembered the last time was when her and Sasuke were running around the city practicing their parkour. On such a nice cool night, she thought that doing some flips off the monkey bars and other recreational equipment would be relaxing.

Simon shook his head, "It wasn't luck. It was my mother. She can see things, you know that....She knew what to do to take care of us....and who to know. We could help you the same way. I know that my mom has helped many people who don't want to be a part of the Military get the traning they need. Its hard for her to do but she manages....She's bound to know some Fire Users who could help you; you know on the street side. Or what about that magus, Nayana. She seems to have wells of information; she's a close friend of the family."
PostPosted: Tue Nov 24, 2009 9:52 pm

"I still see that all as luck. Hmm... and Nayana..." She paused as she became deeply lost in thought. She had trusted Nayana enough to bring her to Sane and Manic, which apparently had been a good decision... but then Manic and Nayana had been quarreling or something... and then they ended up here. In the heart of the Bastion, with some of the most powerful Keys, and here she was with Simon, the Reader. She looked up at him as she thought. They had reached the swingset and she sat down heavily, still deep in thought.

"You seem troubled by something....I find a good swing helps make everything better." he took a step behind her, "May I?" he asked as he put his hands on the chains to either side of her, "I promise you it wasn't luck...it was my mother's gift. And now she uses it to help the world...Just like you could." he looked down at her, still standing a respectable distance behind, but keeping his hands on the chains. His blue green eyes framed by the length of his hair.

Hunter snapped out of her thoughts and smiled up at Simon as her blush deepened. She reached up and took hold of the chains of the swing. "Sure. I don't remember the last time I really just swung, and I have never had someone... well, a boy besides my brother that is... um... push me on a swing." She kept looking away shyly as she spoke. She really hadn't that she could remember.

Actually, she couldn't remember ever feeling the way she was right then. Her stomach was in knots, and she kept breaking out in a slight sweat that just touched her skin and made it glisten under the moonlight. Her hands felt clammy and her breath came quick. Her head was light and almost dizzying like she had been flying very high up in the sky. Everything about this day was new and exciting. Her smile widened as she settled with the thought of the day being exciting. She looked up into Simon's eyes noticing how they resembled the ocean more realistically than even Sasuke's. Sasuke's eyes had been her usual thought when she was flaming, simply because they reminded her of the ocean, and to her the ocean was calming. However now she was staring into the eyes of a completely gorgeous and brilliant stranger, and she couldn't stop herself.

She reached a hand up towards Simon's face wanting to immerse herself in his eyes. "Your eyes... they're beautiful." She was mesmerized and her voice sounded distant.

The brands on his face were the only points that remained pale under his blush. He looked down at her and leaned his face into her touch with a smile, "Thank you...." the resemblance to his mother was undeniable at this point, the quiet almost all knowing expression wasn't condescending in the least, it was welcoming...and comforting to most people. His hands remained wrapped around the length of chain leading to the seat of the swing and he pulled it back a little bit, "You ready?" he asked sweetly.

She was surprised by Simon's sweet and warm expression. "Yeah" was all she could say in response. She smiled and grabbed hold of the chains again, she blushed as her hand brushed by his. She positioned herself on the swing and prepared herself for Simon's push. She looked up to the stars and took a deep breath before her plunge. She tried to focus herself on the cool night, the gorgeous sky, and the absolutely gorgeous guy behind her that is about to push her on a swing. She smiled to herself and let out a small chuckle as she thought to herself how silly this night had become. Her life was beginning to turn upside down or fall apart or whatever the hell it was doing... and now, right now, right in this one moment, she was a little girl again. A 'normal' girl. Simon had unknowingly given her exactly what she needed and wanted.

He pulled her back, taking a few steps to get s good swing going for her, then let go, waiting for the swing to come back in its usual pendulum momentum he put his hands on her back and gave her another gentle push, "I used to come here, and do this with my brother when he was little...." he said, "I have to say you're much more fun to be with..." as soon as he said it he blinked a few times, adding another push to the swing, hoping she had missed it, his loss of his inner monologue....

Hunter let herself swing back and forth as Simon gave her little pushes on her back. The cool night air blowing through her brown hair and across her face. She took a deep breath of the sweet air swirling around her. She smiled even though Simon couldn't see it. "Thanks. You;re fun to be with, too." She chuckled a little. "I never really had an older brother growing up. My brother, Hawk, and I are twins so we were always equals. We did everything together. It's nice to be with someone that doesn't know every single aspect of my life." She stopped herself and thought why she was telling him all this. He was just too easy to talk to, and she wondered if that was a good thing or a bad thing. She had the sudden urge to run screaming from the park, arms flailing behind her, back to Sasuke so she could go home and not embarrass herself anymore.

"I definately understand that....as soon as I got my Marks...My mother was privy to every part of my mind, and nothing i could do to stop her either...." he laughed, "We had a few long discussions after that about many things....a 13 year old boy getting the 'birds and bees' discussion from a mother who had just about caught me in the act.....It was rather embarassing." he laughed a little uncomfortably then stopped the swing, spinning it around so she was facing him, "I hope you don't consider me an older brother....or brother at all" he looked so sincere, the fact that the most dreaded words to a boy's ears had escaped her lips was...to say the least a shut down, but...he couldn't stop, she was just so.....so much what embodied beauty in his mind, and yet he knew so little about her.
