Haku tried to smile at her, he really did. He felt the ticklish feeling of the corners of his mouth moving back and forth, ever so slightly. He was glad she knew. That was all he wanted. As long as she knows. Blinking a few times, her smile warmed him a little. He felt it was genuine. He knew it was. She was happy again. For now, anyways. "As long as...y-y-you...know," he stuttered with tremendous effort.

She could see him trying to smile, having to resist the urge to kiss him, oh she knew that would be such a stupid idea. "Haku please don't strain yourself." She placed a hand on his good arm, trying to hold that small smile as best she could. "It's good to see you smile, no matter how small." She was the only one who wasn't physically injured to the point of being ill. At least, not really. You have wounds of a different sort Hearing that voice made her stiffen, she had thought it gone. That may be true. But I'm still fine. I can take it. Now shut it before I break you. She knew that none of the small mental fight leaked to her face which was a relief, keeping her other hand hidden from view. I just hope he none of them worry if they ever find out. "I'll be fine Haku, don't worry. Just give me... time."

Staring into her eyes, he stopped trying to move. It was futile anyways, so he saw no point in attempting it any further. He wanted a couple things at this point. He wanted Sayuri, and to know whether she'd be okay or not. He also wanted to be able to move. He wanted to hug Suki. He wanted to tell her he was sorry. He knew he couldn't at the moment, though, so he just stared into her eyes.

She glanced over to the other bed after holding his gaze for another moment, seeing the curtains part. Sighing, she looked up to the medics, tilting her head a little. "How is she?" She asked quietly, knowing Haku would want to know.
"She'll be fine, she still shouldn't try moving so much. She is still healing after all." One said quietly, looking to the sleeping woman with a small shake of his head. "Always reckless, we're used to this. Take care you two. We'll be nearby." She answered with a small wave before walking out of the room.
"Thank you." She said with a small smile, yes, they were reckless alright. "She'll be fine, we just gotta let her rest. Just like you should. Than you for resting now." She said quietly, chuckling a little before rubbing his arm a bit, giving a slight squeeze. Show him you are alright. Don't make him worry. She kept telling herself, never letting these thoughts show.

Haku would have let out a large sigh of relief with the news. He was glad she was alright. No, he was overjoyed that she was alright. Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you! He couldn't think of anything else, just to thank whatever made her alright. Continuing to look at Suki, he grunted in pain as his arm began to throb. He hadn't felt it until then. He assumed it was the paralysis, but that shouldn't have numbed him. He'd of shrugged it off if he could. He couldn't.

Suki saw how relieved he was, smiling softly as she looked over to Sayuri so that he couldn't see her face, the expression of pain that she knew was in her eyes. You are an idiot. Bakahashinanakyoranai. She never thought she'd be saying that phrase to herself, but it was true in this case. Though, she did look back to him when she heard the grunt, looking to his broken arm first. She couldn't help but wince, she had done that. Calling in a nurse, she gave him something for the pain, her purple eyes watching him as she did. Then she heard the nurse speak to her.
"What happened to your finger?" The woman asked, noticing the bandage.
She flashed the woman a smile, shaking her head. "It's nothing, I just cut my finger earlier. I'll be fine." She reassure her, watching her leave, lowering her hand so that it was hidden again. Oi that was close...

Watching as he was given the medicine, he heard the comment about Suki's finger. He'd have asked if he could move, but he decided against bringing it up later. He'd believe her excuse. When it became a danger, he'd ask. After the pain reliever was given and took affect, he used his good elbow to try and sit up. He hated sitting here, doing nothing. He didn't get far though, giving up after a few short moments, grunting in frustration as his back hit the bed.

She glanced up to him once the nurse had left, wincing a little as his back hit the bed, helping him sit up at least. "Soon Haku." She murmured, wincing a little as she felt Kuolema struggle at the edge of her mind, finding herself humming a lullaby to help soothe herself. Maybe it would help him too, she knew how he must hate being stuck laying in the bed for so long. "I'm sorry that this had to happen, I did say there were risks..." She gave him an apologetic smile, twisting a few strands of hair between her fingers.

Letting her help him, Haku just sat there. he had nothing more to do. Keeping his eyes on Suki, he found himself wishing Sayuri was there with him, but he pushed the thought away. She's resting. She needs to rest. When Suki smiled, he almost grunted. He knew she hadn't meant to do it. He only wished it hadn't happened.

Suki heard Sayuri stir in her bed, knowing that she was what he wanted most. "I sînt supărat pentru tot , tot de la durere Eu am veninos tu." She whispered beneath her breath, pushing herself up since she felt weird being there. She knew that awkwardness would never fade. Don't even start. She moved her chair out of the way, pushing Sayuri's bed closer to him along with everything that was tied to her at the same time, leaving the room rather quickly. "Eu am unic done tu greşeală de la ce I a putea tell...."
Groggily Sayuri opened her eyes, glad that the lights were dim while she glanced around, not taking long to adjust. Turning her head, she saw Haku right there, smiling warmly to him, reaching an arm so her hand could touch his arm, mindful of her wound. "Hey.... how are you doing?" She whispered, she was still a bit tired from the drugs, but she knew she would wake up soon.

Haku listened and watched as best he could with how far his eyes would move in his sockets.When Suki left and he heard Sayuri, his heart jumped sky high. He tried to see her out of the corner of his eyes, but it was useless. Instead he focused all energy into answering her question. "F-f-fine." Her hand was warm against his skin, his heart pounding in his chest. He wanted to look at her, but he couldn't. "I l-l-l-lov-ve you."

Her smile only widened a little, she could see how he was trying, wondering how much longer till he would be able to move normally again. "Thats good." She murmured, giving his arm a gentle squeeze. "I love you too." She looked towards the door, noticing the lack of Suki's presence. It made her sigh heavily, her thumb running across his skin. "Things in our gang won't ever quite be the same, will it? I mean with Suki..." She said softly, shaking her head a little. "It's unfortunate. We just gotta do what we can."

"She'll b-be fine." Haku spoke, his voice getting louder. He was slowly coming back. His eyes were still as far into the socket they could go, staring out the side of his eyes. If he could see her, he would. His muscles felt tight, strained. He took a semi-deep breath through his nose, letting it out the same way. She was right, things would never be the same. They didn't need to be though. Haku had to tell her sooner than later. Living with the pain from the truth is better than living with the happiness of a false hope.

Sayuri sighed, was that really true? "I just hope she doesn't get too reckless..." She murmured, looking over to him, pressing a button on a little controller hanging off of her bed, letting the bed sit up with a sigh. "It only takes so long before a person breaks, I should know. You can't expect her to remain with the Sakura forever. You will have to let go of her when that time comes." She said softly, that was the point she was trying to make. She just had a feeling... She remembered that despair of watching the one you knew was the love of your life be with someone else.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
At that moment, Suki was definitely not fine. She was surrounded by her fellow Diclonius, the groceries that she had been carrying falling to the ground. "How.... How did you find me?!" She had vectors pressing into her body at different points, if they were moved or if she moved in the slightest, she would be killed.
Eclair smirked, chuckling as she waved her phone at the girl. "I tracked you, you silly little girl. Now, where are Haku and Sayuri?" She demanded, letting one diclonius step forward, the others vectors being removed while she was forced onto the ground, then they were replaced just as quickly.
Her eyes widened a little, wincing as she was forced to the ground. "Why do you want to know? Leave them out of this! They have nothing to do with this at all!"
"Quite the contrary. You see, in order to keep you in check, we must make sure that they live. And they know too much. So, you can cooperate and they live. Or, they die. The choice is up to you. I could just kill all the others that are in that building where you all are." Watching the girl squirm was the best, but she had to be mindful of what the Chief wanted, holding her finger over her phone. "I can also detonate the small explosives that were planted in your body."
Freezing, she felt her arm snap, crying out in pain. She felt tears rise up to her eyes, sobbing. "Please don't harm them... don't kill them.... I'll cooperate. Just please keep your word and don't harm them..." She finally said after a few moments, shutting her eyes tightly against the pain. Forgive me....
"There's a good girl." Signaling to two of the diclonis, they nodded, heading off towards the building, tattoos of the Si and Triskel's showing on their arms. They picked up the groceries that had dropped, walking back so that they could keep a watch and ensure that they remain alive. Eclair then walked over to Suki, the rest of the diclonius carrying her to the van, driving off far away from the city, eventually getting on a helicopter to take her to an island where the chief was. Now the fun begins.
When the woman he loved came into view, the smile that would have been wide, but instead seemed normal, sprayed onto his face. At her words though, it disappeared. He knew she spoke the truth, although he wished she didn't. Damn you Sayuri. Damn you and your knack for knowing the truth at all times. A very short moment passed before his next thought came. No, don't be damned. I want you. "We'll s-see."
