Spartan-087 continued to sprint down the barren street, only slowing her speed down slightly in order to evade what debris layed around in the street. Yes, it was the truth that Kelly was the fastest Spartan. But as of right now, she was running at a slower pace than normal on account of her cargo, and the fact that she was running around with another Spartan. As fast as Spartan-108 was, the Spartan wasn't about to leave just one of her brethren behind in the dust. (Or, anyone else for the matter.)

However, after the automatic rifle fire vanished from the right side of her head. Kelly heard the sound of Jason's voice, asking if she had a grenade on herself at this very moment. Spartan-087 tightened her right arm around the midsection of Jason, but not strong enough to hurt him, more like hold him in place. With her left hand, she removed a lone frag grenade from the designated slot on her armor and handed it up to the marine. Kelly had done all of this without even replying to what Jason had said, for she was aware of the red 'blob' that appeared on her sensor.

While Kelly awaited for Jason to take the frag grenade out of her hand, she noticed that the 'red blob' (aka, the Spectre.) was coming closer with each second. At the same time though, the appearance of a ally had also shown up on her active motion tracker. "Logan. If the marine doesn't get the hint as we run past, make sure he follows us." Kelly spoke to the fellow Spartan over a com link that she opened and swiftly closed after she had finished speaking. In order, to prevent from any more Covenant forces from locating their position, just incase they happened to be looking out for such a signal.

Jason took the grenade and judged the distance and speed of the Spectre. He then lobbed the grenade at the point where he thought the Spectre would be and aimed his pistol. It was like slow motion in a movie. He saw the grenade move through the air towards the Spectre. The Spectre then hit a speed boost which caused Jason to fire a volley of shots at the grenade. Luckily, the thrid shot hit and the frag exploded, killing driver and passengers, but leaving the Spectre intact.

[ Rendezvous Point - Team Nobody; Awaiting Sergeant Glenn Graves ]
As his team shifted positions in the building, he heard a human voice call, "Identify yourselves!" Looking at his team, he pointed to Mephisto, who responded by aiming his rifle at the window, spotting the approacher easily. He opened up a private COM channel to Desperado, and spoke silently. "Sir, one marine. Enlisted patches on his arm, Sergeant. I suppose it's Graves."
Nodding in reply, Morgan let himself from his cover momentarily, training his Rebel AP Assault rifle on the Marine. "What's your name Marine?"
This Marine would know that it was Captain Hunter by him doing this, since he was of higher rank, and obviously disregarded his first words.

[ Running our asses off, about to pass by Sergeant Graves, and Team Nobody. ]
Logan continued to run beside Kelly. He heard what Jason had said, but decided to not bother with the obstacle, as he could tell that Kelly had already figured out what to do. His thoughts were confirmed, but multiple thoughts passed through his head. He got her message, and dismissed most of those same thoughts. Another Marine, perhaps Sergeant Graves? Which could only mean that Team Nobody was near here as well, since they put themselves in his path undoubtedly. Then he heard the sound of destruction as the grenade went out, decimating the enemy. He thought inwardly though, why he had wasted ammunition to destroy the grenade in such a way. It would of been simpler to lob the grenade in front of the Spectre, and have the same effect.

He sniffled a little, and continued to run, then clicked his SquadCOM three times, hoping that Team Nobody would catch the signal. They were the only ones who had that current Com link established with him, besides Kelly. Every Spartan, if in the right distance, squad or not, would hear SquadCOM chatter of the other Spartans.

Glenn smirked as an officer pointed an Rebel AP Assault Rifle at his forehead. Though it wasnt the first time, he found it some what funny. "What's your name, Marine?" the officer said, keeping the rifle trained on his head.

"Sergeant Glenn Graves, sir." growled the NCO. Though he ment no disrespect, he was sure that the Officer would take it in offence. "Sir, be careful around this area. There are multiple hostiles. Im suprised I even got my sorry a** here." Glenn removed his helmet and took a swig of water from his canteen. "I was wondering when you were ganna get here. Permission to join you squad for now, SIR!" Every instinct screamed at him to salute but with possible snipers who would love to pick off an officer, it took all his will to prevent him from doing so.

[ Still running ]
Logan continued to run, and then he pinged the Marine, hoping he'd get the message to follow, or at least let Logan carry him.

[ Identifying Targets, Being Cool, and Jumping out of Windows ]
Morgan received three winks from Spartan-108, and he realized that he was nearby. Clicking his rifle off of safety, he looked down at the Marine. "Hold your position son! There's a Spartan around here somewhere, and we're gonna get ourselves a little foot-on!"

Without even motioning to his team, three rappel lines snaked out of the windows, followed by Diablo, Baal, and Archangel sliding out first. Then Desperado and Mephisto came out, opposing rappel lines, in case there were snipers they'd keep distance.

As the five man team came upon Sergeant Graves, Morgan looked at Baal, and motioned for the medical expert to check the Sergeant for injury. Baal responded by rushing to the Marine, and checking him up and down. Being an ODST always, always had its advantages.

The Sergent relaxed as the medic looked him over and dismissed him with a few minor scratches. "Sir, on the outskirts of town, there are a hellova lot of Covie bastards and they are pissed! I saw quite a few drop ships on the way here. Damn bastards. Killing my family, friends...my son..."he growled in a low tone of hatred. He holstered his side arm and cracked his knuckles. Glenn spoke again, "Spartans are on the way, sir?HAH! Lets kill us some Covies."

Jason heard the chatter over the comm link, but decided not to butt in. He was debating if it would be a good idea to get the Spectre or not. It was in damn good shape, but he didn't fully understand the weapon systems. It would come in handy against the Covenant ground troops and partially against the Wraiths. "Permission to drive Spectre, Second Lt?"

Jericho Antares
ANtares chuckled at Lipton's comment and continued to look for a way down as Lipton wandered off. As he caught up, though. He heard lipton make a comment about the day.
"Sir, I'd rather be able to kill gravity right now than have my chute." He quipped as he looked for any kind of handhold that he could use to scale the building and get to the vent...no joy.
"If I were more gay, I'd suggest a human ladder, sir. But I'm afraid a**-less chaps aren't my thing"
Lipton couldn't help but laugh. The sergeant was certainly cool in the face of danger. Hell, he was light-hearted as Lipton supposed he ever was.
"Sergeant, I love the corps, but not that much." He turned and walked around the building looking for any way in. A few of the windows didn't have armor plating behind them, and they might be able to work their way inside from there.
"Antares! Over here!"
He found an opening. A semi had plowed into the side of the building when the attack began, there were no flames, and it was as deserted as everything else up here. But there was a hole big enough for a man to get through. Better yet, it was a big enough hole for a Helljumper to get through.

[in the city]

Three clicks on the COM? An impractical maneuver. The Covenant had better sensor tech now, and they could pin-point coms if one of their vehicles was close by. Besides, what the hell did three clicks mean? Fred and Taylor continued to move toward the Lieutenant's position. They moved hard and fast, keeping pace with each other at just under a full sprint. The world was going to hell all around them as they passed by pockets of Marines fighting pockets of Covenant. Their objective couldn't hold out so they didn't stop. Kane's voice rang out of nowhere.
"Chief, two more Spartans! It looks like 087 and 108. Should I plot a course?"
Taylor looked at 104 and held up two fingers. Fred got the message and nodded. Taylor confirmed with a subvocalized yes, and Kane created two NAVpoints. Each one displaying the location and distance from the other two Spartans. As the two warriors approached their new target, they both flashed their acknowledgement lights green twice. The other Spartans should get the message. If they didn't, then they weren't really Spartan-IIs.

[ Tending to the Sergeant, about to intercept the Spartans. Then we'll have a tea party and cry big blue tears! ]

Baal nodded in approval at the Sergeant, then handed his something small from his belt. Handing it to Glenn, it seemed to be a smaller, condensed biofoam can. He put a finger to his lips, and pointed up. Immediatley, dropships hovered the area around them. Thought not landing, or shooting that often, the occasional splash of plasma would impact nearby. All a ruse to get them to unconceal themselves.

Morgan watched his medic do the trick, obviously wanting him to be quiet, and kneeling down beside Sergeant Graves quietly, Desperado whispered to him. "Son, we ain't got time to deal with their s**t now. We're gonna go fix up Lieutenant Mendez's little situation. Follow our lead."

As soon as he spoke, he adjusted himself into a bear crawl stance, half a prone, and half a crouch you could say. He quietly snaked around through the area.

[ The PFC pops the question! And more Spartans on the way! ]

Spartan 108 looked at the PFC, and dismayed. He'd rather not have this little guy going around and driving them on this behemoth. There would be one extra seat. As he thought about it, and waited for Kelly to reply to the soldier, his head jerked to the east, and then two green lights winked. So there were more besides Kelly and himself. Taylor and Fred got in there two cents as usual. So that would make four Spartans, and two Marines. With only two extra seats, they'd have to leave two Spartans on the Spectre, and he and another of the Spartans would dish out the pain on foot.

As the recently chucked frag grenade went off early, as a result of a few well rounds of ammunition coming from the M6C pistol. During that same time, Kelly was allready working on coming to a stop and eventually had succeeded in doing so. She then set the marine down on solid ground again and briefly turned her attention toward the now still Spectre that rested behind all three of them. Even though Logan was silent about the marine's tactic to dispatch the beings sitting in the Spectre, Kelly mentally agreed that it was a waste of spent a few rounds to force the frag into exploding.

But at the same time, a thought had crossed her mind. If Jason had not shot the grenade wne he did, would the Spectre have evaded the grenade and opened fire on the fleeing Spartan's and one marine? "No. There's no need to waste time with thoughts about that. What's done is done." She mused to herself as she turned her body to one side to face Jason, after hearing his request to drive the Covenant vehicle.

"Request denied marine." Spartan-087 replied seconds before two NAVpoints appeared on her heads up display, and was followed up with two green lights that blinked only twice. Without even a second thought into the green lights that appeared, Kelly allready knew what they stood for and she even had looked toward to the east. Along with Spartan-108. "Logan, take the gunner position at the rear. Jason, you'll ride shotgun." Kelly said over the external speakers so that the PFC would be able to hear.

"We're heading to those Navpoints asap." The Spartan continued as she sat into the drivers seat, ignoring the fact that her armor had caused her to sit in a slightly awkard position. But that was to be expected from a Covenant craft, after all they were not designed to hold a Spartan and their bulky protective armor. But with that thought quickly tossed out of her mind, Kelly's eyes that were concealed beneath her helmet's face plate, started to scan over the Spectre's control panel.

With a simple push of a few buttons, the alien vehicle had started right up even after being hit with the explosive force coming from a frag grenade. Surprisingly enough, the Covenant could build vehicles that can withstand one grenade while suffering only minimal damage, that the panel itself had alerted the Spartan to. Kelly's hands were allready clamped upon the steering controls and the sniper rifle was in a position so it would not bother herself of Jason during the time they maneuvering along in their newly commandeered Spectre.

Jason hopped in the side at the Spartan's orders, a little disappointed. He was a helluva shooter, but he could probably move better than Kelly. She might get caught on something or not have enough room to turn her arms. But he wasn't one to argue with an officer, especially a Spartan.

Logan nodded, and slung his SAW on his back. Extending his arm to its fullest, he gripped one of the turrets handles, and swung himself into an upright position behind it, fingers hovering over the dual triggers. Just to test, he pulled the right trigger, and nothing happened. He pulled the left trigger, and nothing happened. Instead, he jammed both triggers down, then let go immediately as a splash of plasma tore a nearby rock apart with easy. Good, now he knew how the turret worked.

He aimed in the direction of the undoubted nearby Spartans, and waited. The Spectre would be moving soon.

"Understood. Wheres the highest point in the damn city...I can provide some sniper cover if I can find a nice high place or some trees. If I can sight on the pilots of some of those dropships, we may have a nice little way to transport ourselves."Glenn whispered. He unslung his sniper rifle and slowly cycled the bolt. He crouched low, scanned the sky, and let out a low growl.

"Hot damn, Lip, you got an eye" Antares said as he leaned back to see the hole. It was small, but not so small that he' have to remove his armor. He brought his sidearm up and slowly made his way to the hole, then clambered inside, taking he sweet-a** time not to ******** up any of his armor. As he got through, he fell a couple feet to the floor, but quickly uprighted himself and held a hand through the hole.
"Don't want you getting any more banged up, sir."

Morgan pointed a finger at Glenn, and knelt by him again. "Son, don't you dare fire a shot at those dropships. Even if you down one, you'll die, and another pilot will no doubt take his place." he scanned the area around him, and saw a small blip pass just barely on the edge of his rador. Then the blip became larger, and moved slightly. Yellow blips at that. He smiled. "On me."

As he traversed the old urban landscape, he sifted through rubble. Who knew if the Covenant had already been there or not. They could easily trap them now. Instead, he looked at his motion tracker. The blip was still yellow, but not moving, or at least, when he finally saw what it was, the machine wasn't. A Spectre, and he could identify Spartan-108 on the back. He stayed low though, because he was not sure if they were waiting for something, and didn't want to stop them. "Mephisto, sniper overwatch, now. Diablo, go with Mephisto and cover him. Baal, Archangel, keep your weapons trained on that Spectre, anything could happen. Sergeant Graves, with me." He got a healthy response from Daniel and David, who ascended a smaller building. Jacoby and Jake aimed silenty at them. The Sergeant had not responded yet.
