*makes a face* I kinda agree with that one...sorry but I do and it's too bad you can't get the first one you wrote-I can't either the first one was an "I am" poem and I lost it...well we HAD just moved from Italy to Louisiana and I have a tendency to lose things when we move sweatdrop but anyway I agree with you...it's...off somehow

Well... it IS the first time I tried to write without influence... no outside emotion... no music... just me and my computer... I can't write without influence... I know the song I'd like to have for that one... but I can't find it on the download site I use... I need my Creed CD for that one... cry and it's gone forever...

Creed...that sure brings back memories. Used to listen to them all the time before my..godfather killed himself. Was his favorite band. Anyways. We had two of the CDs, but somehow they're both cracked so...no more Creed. =(

*smiles sadly* in Italy there were tons of turns because there were no straight roads...or at least not a lot of them and everytime we'd be listening to Creed and Godsmack...everytime we round a curve with their songs playing it takes me back to italy

Thank the Lord for Nickelback... I hope you guys are ready for some INSANE stuff to go down... I found my #1 piss-me-off song. It might scare you... but sorry, I'm writing through the song... just remember, some of this stuff is from personal experience, yes, but some is also imagined... I hope you guys don't freak when you read some of this stuff... but the topic of this song really REALLY HEATS ME UP. So yeah... I listen to it a lot for my poetry... but you guys haven't seen any of that stuff... and I'm not able to put it up, it's been write-protected... so I can't copy and paste... and I'm not about to re-type any of it... so I'll just write new ones. mrgreen

Sting
Her face starts to swell,
the tears in her eyes and her mouth full of blood.
Her jaw of glass was no match for his hardened fist.
She hits the ground and he starts to yell.
The blood runs from her shivering form as he towers over her,
and I ask,
Does this make you feel like a real man?
Hitting this woman? Striking her down?
Stings doesn't it?
Tears mingle with blood
as her tongue wags.
She cannot speak,
she cannot move.
She's not getting up this time
as she thinks,
Does this make you feel like a real man?
Hitting this woman? Striking her down?

Just child with a temper,
he isn't a real man.
He struck her down
and she gave him no reason.
As my knife sinks into his back
I ask,

He hits the ground and groans.
A mighty tower fallen.
He is no man.
He deserves no honor.
He should die this way.
I tell him,
This is what a real man does.
Fights FOR the woman. Strikes her foe.
It stings, venom seeping to the core.
I hope you rot here.
You deserve this death.
To die and whither away like the dirt you are.

Haha, yeah... I actually switched back to a war poem layout for the next one I think I'm gonna do... I've got so much music compiled into a new folder for just poetry...

*smiles softly* music...I used to depend on it...but now all it takes is one single memory to resurface when it was buried to set me off on writing about...4 poems...or my thoughts wandering aimlessly while watching something...when my thoughts rhyme I write them down..doesn't matter what I"m thinking...it goes on paper and then it's there forever...

Yeah... I wish I could do that... I have to have music... have to have influence... that one poem that was off... that was the problem... I had no influence... but this last one came from my Piss-me-off song... mrgreen I love my piss-me-off's.
