Ryan was calm when she got pushed. It didn't matter to her how many times she got pushed down. She was going to stand up again. Ryan stood calmly and crossed her arms. "Let me tell you something. I'm. Not. Scared. Of. You. You, or your little buddies." Ryan said calmly. She looked Darek in the eyes. At the bottom of her heart she did fear for her life, but whenever her dad started beating her she feared for her life so it was nothing new to her.

"Defiant little girl!" he howled out. Darek pushed her against a tree and held her there. His jaws clamped down onto her shoulder as blood was spilled, but some thing yanked the deadly vampire back.
"Thats enough Darek," Alister snapped as Darek was thrown to the floor with a massive thud, a groan was heard from the weak vampire.
"Get out of here," he growled. But the little vampire wasnt going to give up.
"Alister you've been the leader for too long! its time for new blood to rise!" Darek lunged at Alister but his inexperiance was his down fall. Alister took the vampire by the neck and squeezed, throwing him away to a tree like a rag doll. Snaps of bones echoed in Alister's ears.
Both the two other vampires and Darek scrambled for the hills.
Alister looked at Ryan and tossed her a rag, "Keep pressure on it and wash it later."
"I also suggest that you dont go back to school," Alister blankly said as he started away.

Ryan flinched when her arm was torn into. When Darek was pulled away she leaned against the tree and held her arm with one hand. She watched Alister calmly and then took the rag, putting it on her shoulder. "Wait. You wanted to know what happened to my arms. My dad beat me." Ryan said calmly. She figured that she owed him that at least. She didn't seem startled or scared by the fact that they were vampires. Ryan had been able to tell that they weren't normal from the start. She looked down and then turned around to leave. Her arm trobbed with pain, but it didn't slow her down.

Alister stopped, he couldnt let her go back like that. Or at least at all. It pained him to think of the response if he asked her to come with him.
"Maybe you should come with me... untill your healed up," he offered as he turned around.

Ryan looked at Alister calmly, but then looked down. She wanted to go with him, but there were a few things holding her back. Her locked heart, her job, and fear. Ryan had to admit to herself that she was a little scared of Alister now. "Thanks, but I'll be fine. I have a job. And I can't afford to miss any of it. Thanks for helping me." Ryan said with a small smile before turning around and walking off. She'd have to go back to school right before it let out and get her violin. It was a part of one of her jobs and she needed it. She figured that she'd be able to slip in and out without being noticed.

Alister looked at her walk he had a feeling that she knew that he was something more then human.
"I can't let you walk away from here like that, both emotionally and physically. Is there anyway i can help?" he asked his guilt bubbling.

Ryan looked at Alister and then shook her head. "Not really. Just, don't tell anyone. He's still my father and the only family I have." Ryan said with a worried tone. Her eyes were pleading. She didn't want to lose her father.

Alister looked away as he sighed, he couldnt change her mind if he tried really hard.
"Alright, but if anything.. Please dont be afraid to call me," he said giving her a piece of paper with his number on it. He smiled then started off after his "friends".

Ryan nodded calmly and then walked off, taking an odd route to school. She went in and to her locker. Luckily for her it was in the middle of class. She was able to get her violin and then started to walk out of school, wanting to get the heck away from there. She had to get to her job and then she'd play her violin on the side of the street for extra money.

Alister treaded along the streets his head down as the afternoon came to the sky. He looked abit older now in the dimmer light too old for school but too young to drink.
Alister stopped short to an abandoned house on the far end of the town, this is where his home was, and the vampire hide out. He found Darek there, brusied and broken.
"You need to redem yourself," Alister said. This was exactly he needed to get his mind off Ryan.

Ryan then went to her job and did it. As it got a little bit later into the afternoon, Ryan left and went out on a busy market area. She pulled out her violin and then started playing, leaving the case open for people to put money in. She played lots of different things until it got to almost be night time. Ryan took a break and put all of the money she had earned into her pocket and then put her violin up. She sat down on the curb and watched the sun set.

Alister growled and ordered Darek out, he had too much on his mind. Even though Darek had to pay for his traitorous ways. Alister sat down on a seat and stared out the window looking at the passing cars and people.
He sighed, his grip on the vampire clan was slipping his duties as leader were going too. His superiors won't be happy with him but what could he do?

Once the sun had set Ryan sighed. She wans't scared of being out at night on her own. Especially since she had broguht a hunk of wood that had a sharp point. She suspected Darek and Alister were vampires based on the legends and she figured wood would protect her. Ryan sighed and then went to go walked home. She put her violin over her shoulder and started walking back calmly.

Sure Darek had been injured but his desire for the girl, to take her away from Alister was strong. He loomed over the roofs of the city watching the lone girl as she roamed around. He grinned his pearly teeth beautiful in the moon's light.
Darek jumped and landed behind Ryan on all fours. A slight thud followed his descent.
"Hello once more darling," Darek called standing straight.

Ryan looked at Darek calmly and then said, "Sup?" Ryan reached with one hand up into her sleeve where she had hidden the chunk of wood. She held it in her hand, but kept it out of sight. "Let me guess, vampire right?" Ryan said calmly. She kept her hand at her side, sure that she would only have a moment to attack. Lucky for her, she was good at reading moments and seeing when someone was about to attack.
