Seno Nakakami Stand and fight Join the light Into the battle of power and might Well, well. It looked like this enemy was just as fond of throwing things as he was. Fair enough. That should make things interesting, in the very least.
Striding forward to meet his foe, he looked remarkably unconcerned for an individual with five hundred pounds of metal, plastic, and fuel skidding toward him. As the motorcycle reached him, he hopped up to step on top of it, and then over and beyond it, hitting the ground in a crouch beyond it to send the airborne blade careening off into the distance. True, he probably could have nipped it out of the air to show off his badass credentials, but he was too lazy for that.
Now she was within twenty feet of him, and in most instances, that was a safe distance to pause immediately prior to battle and share banter with one's opponent. What she may or may not have been aware of, was that she was still inside his striking range. Still, and all, appearances had to be maintained.
"So, the 'dark demon' of the Aoyama family, huh? Collective boogey-man that they tell their kids about to make them behave." He smirked slightly, switching over to English and purposely mangling his accent to remark, "So crazy. Though I guess if my wife's as scared of you as she is, even more than her sister, I really oughta be taking this seriously."
So as he spoke, he was already preparing his next move. His own aura of ki rose up around him, a visible red color that swirled around him and flowed into the sheathed dragon-winged blade. His right foot tensed, pressing flat against the ground as his weight shifted imperceptibly forward.
And suddenly he was behind the plane of her approach, the blade drawn in his right hand and held out horizontally to his side at shoulder height, leaving the harsh sound of a cleaving strike in his wake, having combined an instant movement with the increased strike range and rapid draw-strike of his iaido specialization, with the enemy directly in the path of his strike. Emily Amandil PersephoneAmaterasu ☯The Coyote, the Creator and the Messenger☯ ☯The Culture Hero♠The Trickster♦The Fool♣The Clown☯ Emily stopped, peeking out at what could only be...well, a really unfixable problem. The guy on the phone wasn't kidding about the road. Holy cow. Looking on she could make out Tomoko. And a leftover scent marked this whole road incident actually the work of her fellow 'classmate.'
Another waft of scent hit her as the other man facing Tomoko released his own energy. No doubt this was going to be one huge scene. And of course none of these human morons were about to clear out so they didn't get hurt. Whatever, they'd fine out soon enough, then probably run screaming. Good.
She ducked a bit more watching as the two engaged in battle, a battle that no doubt, no one here was able to really watch with their naked eyes. Emily felt herself smirk with excitement as she watched. It was one thing to witness a fight as herself normally, but in this state, merely watching made her itch, to do something. She gripped her sword next to her, for now her dark red ki a controlled and hidden flow.☯Who I Am This Week: Flipped, yet controlled Emily☯Who and Where?: By the roads, spying☯My Cluttered Head: My, what a mess☯Overwhelmingly Overt Crap:

Katerine said, wearing her standard armor. Both of them were gearing up to jump, having made their way to the side of the freeway that was meant for oncoming traffic.
"Yeah, try to land on your feet." Lorenzo said, while gripping his card. They started to jog towards the edge, people on the other side staring at them, no doubt wondering of this was all a dream. The blond haired foreigner just changed clothing and gained what looked like cat ears and a tail, as if by magic. And now she the man with the rifle were running flat out in speeds that'd make Usain Bolt jealous.
Katerine was pulling ahead, even with that armor. She was always stronger than he was, and remarked after they got their pactio and with that sleeping together would be a bit dangerous. Regardless, she jumped first, with Lorenzo not too far behind.
"Eeevocem Voooos!" Lorenzo started to incant, well, half yelling and incanting, where Katerine shifted lightly as she started to fall, catching Lorenzo's outstretched leg, where he immediately stepped forward, prompting Katerine to boost him up and towards the other edge. Holding on to his card, he hit the edge, and managing to hold on, finished the incant.
"Katerine Aloisia von Leongunwald"
Katerine, who was close to hitting the ground now, disappeared, only to appear before Lorenzo, landing on her feet. He scrambled up, finally across.
"Not a bad plan."
"Any later I would've had broken bones my love"
"Point taken." Lorenzo said, as he proceeded to run to a few cars that managed to stay on this side of the highway, yelling at their occupants to get the hell away. Katerine herself removed the sword from the clamps on her back, and was jogging with it. They weren't going to take any chances of hitting Seno, they'll have to move in close enough for Lorenzo to snipe this threat.

/////////////////////////////-~--♚--~-/////////////////////////////---------------⊹↺⊹----Tomoko --∞ --Aoyama----⊹↻⊹------------/////////////////////////////-~--♫--~-/////////////////////////////----- ☇ ☇ ☇ ------神鳴流` "Betrayal stings worse than any blade." Exchanging banter? What, did he think this was a scripted boss fight? There was no witty banter to be shared with this opponent, but there was craftiness and a definite edge learned from a hundred years of fighting.
Seno was close to her, and that meant he was within her striking range, even as much as she was within his. His shundo past her was more noticeable than he’d probably like to believe, and her eyes had cut back, staring at the place he was going to appear just before he did.
Her body twisted, and the blades that had been angled away from her body were angled perfectly as the twist of her body let her skid along the ground to a halt, one of the two blades missing from her hand and spiraling through the air towards him at an arc.
The second blade had been brought upward across her body, the iaido technique split down the middle, as the pavement around her cracked and splintered, a distinctive black ki crackling down the arc of the singular sword she still carried. A shifting movement sent it spiraling into the air as well, and this time what she pulled from the pouch wasn’t a sword, but what looked like a kusari-gama, long bladed on either end, and attached to a very long chain.
Her hands shifted, and the blades spiraled in opposition to one another, whistling through the air as she stepped towards Seno and vanished in her own shundo.
“Mai...” her voice came not from behind Seno, but above, one of her two spiraling blades streaking out of the sky at the man.
”Zanganken Ni-no-Tachi,” the ground beneath Seno would splinter into pieces, light warping past him, chunks of the already ‘floating’ road shattering beneath him, breaking apart what had been steady ground beneath him.
She seemed to be determined to level the playing field. Plus, for what it was worth, the sudden shifting would cause outer chunks of the highway to splinter off. She was shrinking the battle field, forcing the playing field to be smaller and smaller.

Azen Yaneza Wanderer
"Oro... I go to the train station in the morning, but I haven't gotten home ever since..." said the wanderer. He felt rather stupid for thinking he would find his own way back to the campus after just a day of staying there. He felt he was getting near, but every time he thought he was getting closer to his destination, we would pass by a landmark five times before realizing he was making circles.
He then noticed something rather odd, but then again, he hasn't eaten anything the whole day. He could be hallucinating. But he saw this people fighting.... or it seems to be like it. Also, he noticed a viewer.
What's she doing here? She must be hallucinating too, because she seems to be watching the same battle that he just noticed. Maybe she was here all along.
Even so, Azen couldn't help but get attracted to the battle like a moth to a lamp. He stood beside the red-haired girl, figuring that if he was in front or behind her, she could assume the wrong idea.
What the heck... all he wanted was something to eat, but now he can't peel his attention off of the red-haired girl and the scene they were watching. Come to think of it, Azen's hair used to be red... It somehow became orange-ish over time.

Emily Amandil PersephoneAmaterasu ☯The Coyote, the Creator and the Messenger☯ ☯The Culture Hero♠The Trickster♦The Fool♣The Clown☯ Normally, Emily took to strangers...nervously, but at least nicely. However, this one ran into her at a bad state of mind. She looked at him with her still fiercely yellow eyes. He smelled like human, only. "I wouldn't call this the safest general location to be, you know." She muttered, sounding only slightly irritated as she looked back at the battle. She was still itching for a fight, another reason why this guy chose the wrong place to watch the battle. Her hand tightly gripped the hilt of her sword again, though she kept it pointed towards the ground. Chances were if she got into this fight the wound on her stomach would tear wide open again, and she'd be in trouble. But that wasn't going to register in her head anyway, not in this state of mind. Her thoughts were still reeling in her flipped condition. Rational thinking wasn't something she was known for.
She had a feeling more were going to arrive on the scene too. Guys like those, they wouldn't be merely alone. She frowned. She wasn't worried about sensei, Tomoko would be okay regardless, but still.☯Who I Am This Week: Flipped, yet controlled Emily☯Who and Where?: By the roads, spying. Azen Yaneza Wanderer
Turning his head slightly to be able to look at the red-haired girl while still seeing the battle in his peripherals, Azen frowned slightly. "No where is a safe general location nowadays. There's always danger lurking around the corner, no matter where you go. Trust me, I've experienced it for five years, wandering around." Azen said, taking on a completely different tone than if he was talking to Cirus or Setsuna.
Surely, those fierce eyes of hers has some story behind it. But he moved his attention from her eyes to her hand. He noticed a slight movement, and he saw what seems to be a hilt of a sword in her hand.
Looking back at the battle, Azen sighed slightly. He could watch, but he had to do his routine first.
Bowing to the red-haired girl, Azen said, "I am known as Azen Yaneza. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance."
He couldn't help but try to be friendly to the girl, sensing that she was irritated by his presence. The "hilt" that he saw, he wasn't quite sure if it was really a weapon, but he made a quick mental plan of how to defend himself should the need arise.

Emily Amandil PersephoneAmaterasu ☯The Coyote, the Creator and the Messenger☯ ☯The Culture Hero♠The Trickster♦The Fool♣The Clown☯ Emily gave a small huff, like she would have as a coyote, and ignored his polite bow. "Emily Persephone." She muttered in response, less interested in talking and more interested in nearby. She supposed she could make sure Tomoko didn't end up too deep in s**t should more people arrive.
"I'm sure you've caught me at a pretty bad time. So the way I see it...you either try to stop the fight and I stop you from doing it, you go the hell away and save getting to know me for another day when I'm more approachable, or you stay until decide to vent any frustrations on you." She warned, still frowning.☯Who I Am This Week: Flipped, yet controlled Emily☯Who and Where?: By the roads, spying. Who the hell is this?☯My Cluttered Head: My, what a mess☯Overwhelmingly Overt Crap:

Azen Yaneza Wanderer
Oh boy. What a mess he got himself into. Then again, when has he not gotten himself into a mess? Being a wanderer included being thrown into sticky situations. "I have no intention of stopping a fight I have no connections with. Neither do I have the intention of leaving without seeing this battle resolved. I'll take my chances right here, where I stand. This is what the people of Japan did during the Meiji Ishin." Azen said, looking at the battle.
Then again, it was in his nature to be obnoxiously caring, even to strangers."You know, if you have the need to vent frustration, it is a sign of stress. When frustration comes along, you just let it go, otherwise you'll end up like a kettle filled with boiling water, Persephone-dono." He said.

"Oh, you've no idea the meaning of the word stress." She said, not looking at him. "I don't need, nor do I want, your words of so called wisdom, for future reference." She told him, losing interest in attacking him unless he attacked her first, so for now, the man was somewhat safe. As long as nothing drove her mentally over the edge again, yeah, he was safe. For now she was still in control of her actions. The control loss only came when angered, or in specific situations. "Oh, no, no. I did not mean to project the idea that I'm forcing my opinions on you as something you need to remember. I'm just stating my viewpoint, but I doubt you even want to listen to that either." Azen said.
There really wasn't anything else to do but watch, however he thought that Emily looked old enough to be a faculty member. He wanted to ask, and was about to do so, when he pulled back at the last second.
Irritating her further will definitely bring her wrath down on him. Azen adjusted the position of his bag across his shoulders, leaning his hands on each end.

No witty crap. They just ran forward, while at the same time, Lorenzo brought his rifle up, but with the highway collapsing, he couldn't find the woman. He did see the blades, and with that, he opened fire.
His fire was erratic, and while controlled and most of the shots heading in the same direction, that is, shooting at the source of the blades outta the sky. The weapon was feeding once more from one of his hammerspace arsenal magazines again, a steady stream of 7.62x51mm NATO rounds coming out in short sustained bursts, all pointed at the figure above Seno. Granted these were the less-lethal high-energy electroshock rounds, if needbe he can easily switch to lethal ammunition. The first few bursts were aimed at the swords.
Katerine kept up with him, her own sword ready to defend Lorenzo, her ears twitching, feeling out any movement, or magic that can indicate where they might be attacked from.

Seno Nakakami Stand and fight Join the light Into the battle of power and might Oh, now this was interesting. An enemy who could read his iaido and even properly counter it. Didn't see that every day. He'd finished more "badasses" on the first strike than he cared to remember. This was a unique foe indeed.
The 'second strike' attack had caught him unsuspected, but the 'phantom' nature of the technique played to his favor, the energy wave passing through him into the road below. He leapt aside, clear of the crumbling roadway, and rolled to stay in motion and come up on his left foot and right knee.
Lifting his head, he caught sight of the two swords spinning in toward him, but before he could act to deflect or dodge them, the harsh clash of bullet ricochets reached him as the two swords were summarily shot out of the sky. He smirked at the timely support fire from Lorenzo, looking over to spot the gunslinger and his ministra, the direction of fire pointing him in the direction of the enemy.
And from behind Seno, in the general direction of the small township of Hinata, another expected guest arrived in a rush of air and flash of white. Only this white flash was not a speed effect, but rather light catching on the woman's white feathered wings. With one wing held before her to shield from any stray fire from Lorenzo, Narusegawa charged at the airborne woman, a blade of energy formed in her right hand that she struck toward the woman's kusari-gama.
The intent here was not to blade-lock, but merely to knock the woman off-balance and force her out of the sky, for as soon as Tomoko would block, Narusegawa would break contact, soaring backwards to land lightly on the ground near Seno, the new hole in the pavement caused by the Zanganken between them.
"Yo," Seno called out in greeting, a smirk gracing his features.
Narusegawa nodded in response, her eyes fixed on the enemy. "The others are right behind me."
"Motoko didn't come with y'all, did she?"
Smirking herself, Narusegawa shook her head in a 'what can you do?' manner. "You know how hard she is to dissuade once she's set her mind on something."
Seno shook his head and sighed. "Dammit, that woman. Oh well. We'll just have to do the best we can." He reached down his left arm to his right hip, drawing Kagetaku, the topmost blade on that side. Sound the guns Raise the cannons of war

Emily Amandil PersephoneAmaterasu ☯The Coyote, the Creator and the Messenger☯ ☯The Culture Hero♠The Trickster♦The Fool♣The Clown☯ Hearing the gunshots unnerved her. She shook her head, blinking. Dammit, she hated the sound of guns firing. Though it didn't sound like regular bullets firing. Likely something that wasn't going to kill anybody if they hit. That thought doesn't help though. She was about to go try to get closer to the road island and jump in to stop Lorenzo and the woman with him, but she stopped, smelling others coming. She let out a brief growl as her suspicions were right, and some woman, she no longer smelled human, with white wings cut into the fight. On the man's side too, against Tomoko. "If there are others..." Emily muttered, to herself, not to Azen. She wasn't even sure if Azen would be able to get to the road island. She'd have no issues. But he wasn't her concern. She could care less what he did.
The guns. Take out the guns. Besides should anything happen, she knew what would happen to her state of mind. And it seemed like a place to start should she have to jump into the direct fight with Tomoko. Without saying a word to Azen, dark red colored ki circled around Emily on the ground, unconsciously signaling to him she was going to start moving. Some of it gathered in the dark red steel of her sword, Caran. "Damn guns..." She muttered, before shooting past Azen, not directly out of the woods yet, but around to a more suitable point to get to the island. She shot out of the wooded area, shocking a few people as she went recklessly dashing by, avoiding still cars that had been abandoned. By the time she reached the edge of the broken roadway, the ki gathered around her shoes released. Combined with the natural ability of her race, the Coyote demon barely made it to the edge of the island, stumbling a bit but swiftly recovering and taking off again. Frowning, she took off in the direction of Lorenzo, half expecting that woman by his side probably to intercept. No matter, then she'd attack them both. Besides, all she needed mentally was a push over the edge. She used the same self-taught technique she used against the demon on the academy rooftops, as she instead of directly attacking them, let the tip of her blade drag on the ground as she ran by and stopped on the other side of both of them. The trail of red on the ground she left behind glowed, then flashed, catching brief attention as it detonated and the release behaved like an explosion from the line she made behind Lorenzo and Katerine.☯Who I Am This Week: Flipped, but I'm gonna have to let go of the control, aren't I?☯Who and Where?: Azen by the woods spying☯My Cluttered Head: There they are...☯Overwhelmingly Overt Crap:

Tsukuyomi waited quietly from where she was sitting under the crumbling structure. Slowly, she moved forward, towards where the others were coming from. Excellent. Things were going exactly as they were intended. She had to remind herself over and over that she wasn't here to make a massacre of this. That bothered her, but she had a distinct goal in mind, and it was that goal that kept her from losing her composure. She kept herself wrapped in what was a black cloak, which was highly unflattering, and a hood, to keep herself from being seen. Her identity being secret was important at this point. She adjusted her glasses, and placed what appeared to be a white mask on her face. The mask was black and had a crescent moon across the side. That was her callsign.
She was waiting. Waiting for what was coming. She could sense it. She didn't have the total hatred of the Shinmeiryu that her teacher did. After all, it was those techniques that gave her such an edge, though she was already plenty powerful just being herself. She knew who her target was. Who wouldn't? The heiress to the entire Shinmeiryu school..Tomoko must be beside herself. Her own field of power began to ripple around her. She'd have to at least put forth about half her output. This group seemed pretty tough, and because that, she was already so excited. It made her sad she'd have to go without killing them a little.
