Yowch. x_x I feel lucky my advisor did not come with us; the first year went, we had plans for that weekend, but the second year had him not specifying if he was required to come along or not. What were the "requirements" for your club's decision to suspend con-going (and even club-attending) rights from the people who acted inappropriately at the convention? >_<

That feels like the same situation I'm in. ;_; My friend and I are graduating this June, but we do have two potential people that may be able to take over once we've left. However, my friend seems to have a hidden agenda that may lead to the decimation of the club once we're gone. >_<

Ick, it seems like a lot of stuff nowadays is left up to experimentation (in terms of seeing how well it does before making a final decision).

the requirements are breaking college rules, illigal acts, causing harm to the club or club members.

The first two was underage drinking, and drinking...since the college is a dry college, all activities sanctioned by the college are also dry, whether you are of age or not. The second two was because of a fight that turned physicall. And note to all please leave your relationship issues at home, if you feel you can't handle that then don't go on the damn trip *steps off soapbox*

I'm just hopping that this ACEN will boost moral about cons, the bitter taste of Reactor still lingers xp

o_o; Those are good enough reasons. x_x!

I pray that this year's club doesn't escalate to that, but I have a feeling that stressing the words "Don't act stupid" are going to be needed this year. (I agree about the relationship thing, though. XD) @_@

Often time you have to establish either your self or a teacher as the point of authority over the group. Usually...and I mean usually...this works and they keep in line. These are just one of the many issues I deal with constantly as the president, as not always do they take me seriously as an authority figure since they view me as peer. But its finally gotten to a point that they realize when I say no more bulls* that they need to start being responsible. Thought I think some think I'm a total b*ch now, but ah well ya win some ya loose some whee sweatdrop

XD! What a way to run the club. :3

As of this moment...I think the club members have demoted me to "leader-looking person that does nothing, so is probably a faux-leader" 'cause they don't really listen to me anymore, probably because they regard me as a peer (it's gotten to the point where this one "active" member is actually coaching me when I navigate my own DVDs' menus, as if I don't know what I'm doing -_-). They cheered one day 'cause my friend (the other president) came in late for the meeting, with the DVD player in her hand. x_x I feel so shut out of my own club's situations. XD
