Even thought she can be a total b***h... I can't bring myself to hate Madame Thenarider... because that'd be kinda hypocritical, I know I'm going to turn out to be a simaler parent as she is....
I hate little boys. So, so, much. Little boys are s**t heads. And it takes them a good 17-30 years to grow out of being s**t heads.
I can totally see myself, 20 years down the road. Hugging my daughters while screaming at my son to shut the hell up. sweatdrop
But, what can I say? I love the whole Thenardier family. Even those two little boys, whom VH didn't even bother to name and only appeared in like, two chapters. I can just admire can well they ajusted to the gamin life, when it just suddenally hit them out of nowhere.

I'd have to go with Inspector Javert. Especially from the musical. I'm in love with Stars... He's also tragic, which is awesome. After that, Enjolras... French Revolutionaries are just hot...

{SONATA} -->Fantine deserves more love from the fandom than she does now. ninja She's so selfless and goes all the way for her daughter, and nobody's doing her any justice.

Damn, Marius and Cosette need some loving. I understand Marius is emo, is a pretty big a** to Valjean in the book, clueless pretty much all of the time, and is VERY wishy-washy but...damn he's got a lot against him. Hrm. Well, what about Sette?

{SONATA} -->Yeah, I mean, I've seen more fanfics of characters who have appeared less in the story (or not at all) than Fantine. She really, really needs some more attention. I've got an idea for a good fic though, but it sounds more like a drabble.
But Marius is a good writer. I mean, his letter to Cosette...who wouldn't want the love of their lives sending them such sweet letters like that! Such gorgeous language.
Hmm...all Cosette's got going against her is the Eppie-boppers reasoning that she got the guy, and that she's basically a flat character. She's supposed to see a symbolic character, why can't people see that...

Hmmmmm...that's a toughy. I haven't read the book yet, I'm going on what I know from performing and watching 2 different versions of the musical, so please bear with me. I think that my favorite characters would have to be...Eponine and Javert. Eponine is just protrayed as such a tragic character. Marius is the ONLY good part of her life, yet she can't have him because he loves another. But despite this, she still bravely carries on and fights on the barricades with him. She has a lot of courage. And she has too many heart-breaking emo songs for me NOT to care about her. sweatdrop xd
But I'm going to have to say that Javert pwns over her. He's just such a deep, multi-layered, haunted character. And I especially love that even though he is the antagonist and supposed "villian", you just can't hate him. Well, at least most people can't. *coughfloggingcough* xD Just messing with you.
I like all the characters, Cosette for her innocence, Marius for his sweet "awww shucks" pretty boy attitude, Jean Valjean for his courage and unfailing desire to become a better person, the Thendariers for being the comic relief, Enjolras for his passion and idealism. But I have to say the character I respect the most is Fantine. She could have just abandoned Cosette and gone off to find some man who will take care of her, but instead she worked her a** of in jobs that were both difficult and demeaning to provide what she could for her. Even though her life was completely devoid of hope, she lived it the best she could and did the right thing. She's a single mum who does all she can for her daughter and often gets overlooked.

I have to conform and say that Javert is my favorite character. Sorry guys. However, the barricade boys are a close second! I really like Combeferre, and Coufeyrac, and Enjy a 'course, and Joly is really funny, and Bousset has a funny name, but it's great. And Bahorel is cool I guess. Actually, I just like them all. Especially slashy fanfiction about them... redface Still, I actually like all the characters. I can't even hate Thenardier! I haven't finished the book yet, so I can't say if I like book!characters or musical!characters more, but they're all so great! Yes, I even appreciate Eponine and Cosette. Wow. I didn't actually say anything useful, did I? Somebody slap me, I'm rambling again. Sorry! Yeah.
Just disregard that whole thing, and let me say that I like Javvy so much I'm trying to cosplay as him. Yay sideburns!
