Xasbel stared in an awestruck manner when the fuzzball stripped itself of it's innocent stature for something a lot more menacing and intimidating. It's shear fury was making the entrance cave in even more, causing Xasbel to move out of the darkness he hid behind, but still at a great distance for reacting against incoming attacks. Lucky for him, Wrath decided to bring his attention to the closer threat, Dimitri, which gave him time to think of an approach.
'It's very unfortunate that this beast relies on lightning... which is simply a more precise, condensed, stronger version of fire, seeing how I use fire, that won't hurt it at all...and metal...a simple conductor of lightning, so Wavering wouldn't do much damage in that form it's in right now at either close of long range...what's left but....' Xasbel grasped an idea in his head and aimed high...lighting the blade ablaze.
"This thunderstorm has overstayed it's welcome...." Xasbel said to himself blasting the blade high atop the cave, more specifically...directly above this distracted serpent. The earth began to shatter to the blade's will and broke apart. It wasn't the best of attacks for such a beast, but it was the only element in this location that wouldn't leave Xasbel at a disadvantage, Earth. If the beast stopped it's attack to remove himself from harms way, Dimitri's Golden flame would consume it, if he pressed onto Dimitri, the boulders would do some much needed damage, perhaps even overwhelm Wrath. The beast was under a lot of pressure, it was only a matter of pressing on the pressure until the serpent fell.

A distraction--that’s all it is, but nevertheless, it catches the demon unawares.

Acting on instinct, the demon hurdles throughout the falling rocks, flailing as an eel. A large pillar descends, but ‘tis nothing its wrath can’t handle. A bolt of lightning parts the sky. The pillar bursts. Wrath is pleased.

In its madness, the demon’s force weakens. A blaze of indignation sweeps the cavern of all darkness, of all sin. Wrath returns its focus upon the incoming attack and tries desperately to regain the high ground, but all in vain. Screeching out like never before, the demon witnesses the face of holiness. It reminds him of his past life and how he can never return to it. Wrath is a deadly sin, and this time it’s his life that it takes.

The fire consumes him. He is drowned by that which is holy. His hate is met with the lion’s wrath. and it is said that the wrath of the lion is the wisdom of God. Today dies a man who sought to spread his hate. His hate ended up being his own undoing.

Out in a blaze of destruction. Chaos is the only word to describe the event. Chaos in all of its majesty.

A great wind approaches from the east. The calming storm pours forth tears in remembrance of the soon to be forgotten man. Soon, the fire is to be extinguished. In the heart of it all lies but a frail gem as black as night. Surrounded by an aura of wickedness and betrayal.

Wrath is still alive in this world. It may not hold the form of a devilish serpent of the night, but it is still here, within hearts of men, and as the gem fades into the blank void of the heart of the storm, so grows that latent hate.

However, there is hope, and so long as there is at least one man willing to fight for that hope, all is right with the world.

“We must set up a strong present tense against all rumors of wrath, past and to come.” - Ralph Waldo Emerson.

With the demon finally dispatched, Dimitri slumped to one knee and gazed down to the lower floor to his unexpected ally.

He also wondered where the archangel Neo had disappeared to, but assumed since he had vanished at the same time as the Tyrant Lord Tokushi Sarin that he was in fast pursuit of the menace in an attempt to recover the crystal.

"Dawn Strider," he shouted from his perch," Thank you immensely for your timely assistance... I doubt I could have finished him alone."

The holy knight hopped down from the now-exposed cliff-face to his peer.

"I know that we cannot waste time on lengthy introductions, but I wish to let you know my name, and I yours, as I am never one to refuse assistance from a valued ally. I am Dimitri Solidari, paladin of the Light."

He smiled as he extended a hand to shake.

Xasbel sighed with relief to see the beast fall by him and his soon-to-be-departed partner. He wished for the two of them to share formalities, unfortunately it was something he couldn't bring himself to give.
"Well aren't we filled with virtue today...You must realize this was only a coincidence, this assistance, if I had left one moment sooner it would have been you alone to face our common enemy, but I must admit you gave quite a number of distractions necessary for it's downfall." Xasbel explained, reloading Wavering with another blade before making his way towards the opening that wrath had erupted in it's final blaze of defeat. It was lucky that this cave wasn't deep underground, or he and Dimitri would have had trouble making their way out, but then again, Xasbel had forgotten they were still in the region of the infinite thunderstorm, constant rain began to spill out of the hole in the ceiling, beginning to re-soak Xasbel. So he wasn't out of the woods yet.
"Unfortunately for you, I can't introduce myself to you, or I might risk getting into some trouble with you Holy Knights...so this is where we go our separate ways and get on with our lives...nothing personal, but I hope I don't see you again..." Xasbel said before making a last leap out of the cave and running as fast as he could as soon as his feet met the solid ground above, his feet making smacking sounds left by the water and his soggy boots. The sooner he got out of this place the better, cause it seemed like he wasted so much time in that cave, he was planning on leaving as soon as Tokushi had, but he had blocked the door shut hen he left, so from then to now was all wasted fighting a useless battle forced onto Xasbel.

((please note I'm basing my leave on that pic you got there, Neo, cause to me...it looks like Wrath's 'blaze of destruction' blew the top right off of the cave in that pic....so yeah, correct me if I'm wrong))

((That's cool. I was searching Google for lightning and fire and came up with that. It's actually a volcano erupting during a thunderstorm. The concept seemed appropriate for the moment. Dimitri's blaze, wrath's rage. Pretty cool.))

With a saddened but steely gaze, Dimitri was alone in the perpetual storm once again.

"Dawn Striders," he mumbled, recalling Noah Belial and Yata Djinn," no manners... none at all."

Taking a glance at the corpse of the fallen Sin. He could see the scales were still electrified and sparking with power. The holy knight raised an eyebrow as a thought crossed his mind.

Withdrawing his blade from its sheath, he stuck it beneath the scales, some latent energy shooting through the metal into his body, giving him a tickle by comparison to the immense power he was subjected to earlier this day.

Prying forth six shimmering scales, he stashed them on his back, tieing his sash around it to secure it. Perhaps a trip to Proudanvil would prove fruitful before returning to the battle at the Holy City.

Calling upon the winds, he soared off into the horizon.
