"This village up on a dark rocky land has the most brutal thunderstorms beyond any other village in the lands. It's almost never ending with rain and lighting strikes. Yet the people have made antennas to redirect the bolts of lighting from hitting all in there path to a tender dark crisp. When treading the way around the village, you can rest at a store or hotel that was carved into a cave. Yet never leave the trail of antennas or be the person to experience a shock of a lifetime in the Thunder Dominion."

Lightning reigns in these distraught lands. In this city of Dis rain, terror, and disarray is never ceasing, never ending. The sound of thunder rules the lands. The sight of flashes rule the skies. Dark clouds have overtaken this place long ago.
But in the midst of all this sorrow, the inhabitants still live to see tomorrow. They have adapted to these adverse weather conditions. This goes to show how far man will go for the sake of comfort. Any situation can be turned into an inhabitable region, despite the opposing forces. Man shall always prevail.
What is it that causes such determination? Does it stem from the mortal's rebellious nature? Does it derive from their free will? Must man constantly be at war with nature? Apparently... This place is proof enough. Man has made this naturally unbearable wasteland a city of lights. Man has harnessed the naturally intractable entity of energy to power the industrial benefits of their society.
The next bolt strikes upon the village of thunder. A unique bolt of power this is. Lightning is known for striking the highest point. The electorns of the earth and the sky bind this great force of nature on its own predestined path. The lightning has no say in where it lands. It just hits. This bolt, however, seems to be in control of its own actions. Like the men who created this city, it has free will, something highly unlikely, in fact almost impossible, for a mere manifestation of energy to have... but who ever said this bolt was just energy?
Striking a far off isolation of land, the bolt dissipates into the many particles of energy used to create it. Slowly fading off with the rain, its last surges disappear into nothingness, leaving only one entity in remain... the divine entity of light: Neo.

It would seem as Neo arrived, their was ruin of houses and shops based on the massive holes in the ceilings and doors burned by what seemed to be like thunderbolts as this rain kept the fires from bay to scorch this land. No human life could be seen around him or in the area, this land was already ravaged by whatever caused this. The towers looked like they were intacted so if he traveled for each tower he'd be fine from the strikes of lightning.

This land is barren. Life has left this place long ago, which is quite ironic, considering the effort put into preserving it. Is this what is to befall all of mankind? Day after day, they spend their lives working in order to advance, progress in their status. They try desperately to live on and to live as comfortably as possible, but in the end, what remains? Death... death is the only true promise of life. It is foolish to bury your treasure in this world. Everything within it will ultimately fade away, like the lightning.
With that thought in mind, what can one do? Everything drifts; everything burns. How can man live on to see another day? How can man put up with the one true promise of life?
These are the many questions that an angel asks himself, along his journey through the land of driving thunder. Unlike man, angels are of divinity. They know no true hardships. They know not the inner struggles of the mortals. Some know not of the concept of free will. Does that make them slaves? Most certainly not, I assure you. Neo is no slave, at least not a mindless one. He lives to serve the light, quite freely I might add. Unlike many of those in the mortal plane, he knows first hand the wonders and virtues of the light, and it is because of the light, he wishes to serve.
So what brings this servant of light to the realm of man, anyway? A number of things, really, but perhaps the only reason of optimal importance is his curiosity. Curiosity... a common mortal trait. Why this angel has it is a mystery, but he most certainly has it. He was sent here as an observer. Mortals have always intrigued him. Their imperfections, their flaws, their traits, their methods, their morals, everything about them. Along his journey, he's discovered that some doubt the light, some embrace the dark, others remain indifferent to both. The question why has always remained a driving force in his being, and so he searches.
Somewhere along the way, his task in this world has become little more than that of observation. He also serves as a protector. What is he protecting? The Divinity of Light. So many in this realm fear and hate it. So many try to run towards it, but know not where to go. He is here as a guide, as a knight, as a force, to some he is the light.

Light would flash in the clouds making the shape of a figure, some figure that was long and serpent like. Flying through the clouds as a light across the thunder dominion. It looked like it was going farther north to a massive tower bigger than all of these pillars around Neo. It was a distance, but if he followed the trail of the pillars he'd make it to that large tower.
Thunder boomed once again in a more normal setting as he previously made his arrival the lands once that strange serpent of light disappeared from sight. A bolt struck a nearby tower around Neo location nearly striking him if it wasn't thanks to the tower he stood under. These towers would definitely make it easy to avoid the thunderbolts as long as he was under a tower before the clouds gave off a flash of bright blinding light.
Yet a distance away another stood watching Neo from a tower in the shadow under the roof of the pillar. It had a pair of hawk eyes that at the same time had that of a blood red around them bearing a resemblance to a demon, an inhuman being that wore a human shell as a facade to his real form.

((Once again, this is Neo, not Nexus. I’ve edited your post to correct the mistake.))
The symphonic array of thunder booms throughout the area infrequently. It stays on key with the great fire of the night sky, arranged like some sort of sonata. To those dwelling here, it is the only music they know. The sound actually contains a somber melody. The feeling evoked isn’t one of sadness and disarray, nor is it one of happiness and joy. No, the atmosphere given off is an aura of a dispassionate harmony. To most, it would go misapprehend, misinterpreted, and misunderstood. The sound is so empty, it’s quite logical for one to dismiss it as black and devoid of hope, devoid of caring, but to those of like interest, there is a certain harmony hidden within the thunder. Its almost soothing.
For a brief moment, the lightning shudders more fiercely. A disturbance in the earth’s spirit causing a type of paroxysm among the clouds. Glancing up towards the sky, Neo takes note of the probable cause. As to what it is, he isn’t entirely sure. He’s not as familiar with this place as he is the rest of the world.
The land, from time to time, vibrates with a pulsating beat. It may partially be due to the lightning striking the fields, but there seems to be a living presence in this place, which is odd, considering the fact that mankind has abandoned the area long ago.
In the following moments, another presence comes to Neo’s attention. A being stands off in the distance skulking in the unknown. The angel needn’t to gaze upon him to know that he’s there. In fact, such a feat would be slightly difficult, considering his position, but even still, the presence remains. At this point in time, the presences poses no general threat. Chances are, it probably won’t ever go beyond the mere state of being off in the distance, so the angel declares it of little importance and moves on.
Upon glimpsing at this serpent of fire still blazing throughout the corridors of the night sky, the rumor of certain demons lurking within the lands flashes through the angel’s mind. Demons have been known to lurk in any and all locations of the globe, so the thought of encountering one isn’t all that threatening, especially for one such as he. The only thing really of any concern to the angel is whether or not he’ll encounter one here. All he can do is continue on his way.

Soaring through the dark clouds and rain, Dimitri Solidari could not feel the coldness provided by the downpour, his skin and armor were manipulated to the point of boiling, causing the water to evaporate on contact with the metal or flesh.
Dimitri was not overly concerned with the lightning, considering the sudden extreme natural heat would likely do little more than leave him winded for a moment, almost as if consuming too much food too quickly.
One of the sins must be here... with its crystal we can reinforce the barrier... The best case scenario, the villagers might know where to find it possibly even assist... The worst case scenario... I need to hurry-- What is... this presence I am feeling.
A sense of light and comfort seeped into his being. As if he were standing at the foot of the Holy City again, gazing at its majesty.
In the darkness and in the distance, he could make out a softly shining light.
With only a moment's pause, he forced the winds behind him and began to speed in the direction of the light.

As Neo made his way to the massive tower, following that light in the skies, a bolt of lighting shot forth near his location when he was away from a nearby tower. It lashed out from the clouds like a serpent to surprise it's prey. To get close to the warrior who was away from the tower and strike him with absolute wraith. Not reason beihnd such an attack, maybe for invading it's territory, or just to lash out it's anger upon an unfortunate soul it was clear this attack had anger in the form of this lighting serpent heading down for Neo.

It strikes as if it has a mind of its own. Lightning is a powerful force. One that demands attention. It is known for its fast nature. In fact, it’s so fast, the sound it makes is delayed for a few seconds before coming forth. Light does travel faster than sound.
In the milliseconds following the bolt’s release, Neo understands this particular bolt is aimed his way. Of course, walking out in the open during a thunderstorm is typically unsafe for reasons such as this, but in retrospect, it wouldn’t of made that much of a difference. The way the system of this land is set up is so one can walk freely out in the open, without the worry of being struck down, but no… not this time. This time, the lightning bypasses all of the infrastructures made to provide hindrance and heads for one specific target: Neo.
There is little time to react. Lightning is one of the fastest and most powerful natural elements on the globe. He literally has nanoseconds to respond. Luckily, that’s all he needs. As an angel, speed and force are two particular strong suits of his. Lightning is but a mere earthly force to him. The force he knows of, the force he’s familiar with, the force he derives his power from is the ultimate force of the universe. His powers come from the omnipotent force of God.
With angelic grace and style, he summons forth a beam of light within his hand. It shines bright and golden, but only for a brief moment, just long enough to serve its purpose. The light takes on the form of a blade, a blade of holy energy. No other energy in this realm can compare to its magnitude, not even the lightning. With a sweeping undulation of the sword of light, the serpent of the night sky’s terror is shattered. The lightning breaks apart like glass to this sword’s powerful existence. And in the same manner, the blade of light disperses as well.
Neo has been known to only fight when needed. Again, he came to this world as an observer and nothing more. For this reason, he often travels without the bearing of a weapon. He doesn’t even wear armor like most warriors of this land do.
After his display of godly authority over the elements, he continues along the path set before him, with a new thought in mind. It is quite clear that lightning did not act on its own accord. Lightning is an element that flashes and disappears. Any attacks given off by it are often the result of a bystander getting in its line of fire, but Neo was not in its line. That bolt aimed for him. It wanted to eradicate him. That’s just not how it’s supposed to be.
There is a disturbance in the earth’s spirit.

Lightning split the air again, thunder rolling into the void made by the sudden burst of energy. Though to Dimitri's surprise, the bolt had ignored the lightning rods and went towards that presence of light which he had been seeking.
The light shuddered temporarily as the lightning soared in.
That light surely cannot be something inanimate... Else it wouldn't attempt to avoid danger.
Dimitri's eyes went wide as the lightning shuddered itself and dissipated.
What being can dismantle the power of lightning itself?
Overcoming his awestruck reaction, he calls the winds back to his body once more and began his descent towards the light. The torrent rains and thunder offered a direct wind tunnel down into the valley.
Arriving on his feet, the figure of light was still shrouded by the fog, but he was approaching another lightning rod tower.
Summoning what little heat was within the cold ground, he activated his blazing speed and began running down the path towards the light.
When he got within range of the tower, he couldn't believe his eyes.
An angel.
He had fought a fallen angel, became an avatar of retribution but never had he set eyes on a true knight of divinity. The heat within his feet dissipated as he walked closer to the being of light.
"You... you are not of this world," the scholarly knight said aloud as he stopped a few feet behind the angel.

At first he had felt fearful of even approaching this dominion of thunderous booming and lightning flying through the sky on a secondly basis. The chances of getting shocked in this place were 1 in 2, so basically for every two people who walk in one of them was guaranteed to be shocked. Xasbel hopes for his sake that he isn't that one as he entered the rainy field of the never ending thunderstorm. He looked up at the nonexistent sky covered with it's mass storm clouds. How it was physically, scientifically possible for the rain to evaporate so fast it could create more rain was an anomaly that Xasbel could not manage to grasp. Not to mention the science behind the constant lightning, is the land really so volatile, so charged with positive ions, as to be possible to have lightning strike the land so much? Perhaps Xasbel was thinking too much about it's creation and less about it's survival as lightning struck just behind him, sending him forward and into the mud that was the regular floor for this landscape. "Agh....God dammit!" He yelled as he picked his face out of the wet, swampy dirt an picked himself up

And so the angel has a greeter. It has been a while since Neo’s been in the presence of another, since another has been in his presence. Usually, the angel resides in silence and solitude. That’s where he prefers to be. It’s the prime position for one such as he, for an observer, but as his prior actions dictate, such as his participation in the Great War, his “founding” of the Holy Knights, then perhaps he should abandon the title observer.
This man was right to accuse him of his unworldliness, on more than one level. Neo is disconnected from society. He constantly strives to learn from humanity. Why do they do what they do? Who do they think they are? What makes them choose light or darkness? Why doe some remain neutral? Again, he’s seen the light. He knows who he serves, but others don’t. Why is that? Do they even care? Do they bother to search for their calling, their light, or do they drift into the clutches of darkness? Why? That word is constantly afloat in his mind. He is an angel, a free thinking angel. He questions the methods of all. Some would say he is one of the first philosophers.
Turning his head to the greeter, he addresses him in silence. Again, Neo’s never one to talk. Acknowledging his presence, he returns his sights to the path before him and marches on.

As Xasbel picked himself off of the mud ridden floor, he searched himself to see if anything was missing, especially Wavering, his projectile blade machine. It was hard not to tell if it was missing seeing how it's weight would be instantly noticeable when it was gone, in this case it wasn't. "Good, don't know what I'd do if you were gone." Xasbel said to Wavering, as if it could speak and hear him even though it was merely weapon, or rather the Holy Knights weapon he stole. Which brought him to a question. "Wonder if they're still trying to find me, wouldn't be surprised if they weren't though. They probably have better things to do than follow a thief...then again, I am a thief who knows more than he should about them." He said to himself referring to his past experience as a Holy Knight. Xasbel looked ahead and noticed several figures in the distance. The rain made it hard to reveal if they were simply appendages from the ground or actually other people, but either way Xasbel wanted to avoid it. However, avoiding it could cost him his life, seeing how he would hav to stay as close to the lightning rods as possible if he didn't want to get stuck by lightning himself. Avoiding these unidentifiable figures was out of the question as he made his way towards them as they themselves moved in the same direction he went.

As they began their way to the tower, they reached a cavern entrance with surrounding rock around the massive tower. It from upward glance was that of two castle towers. It was truley a sight to behold for any travelling to this mountainous region. Yet the storm strikes weren't lashing out at them, that tower they stood near, the highest of all the rest was protecting them from harm. They could rest in this cavern and make their way through to the tower to see what was causing this destruction of the people in these lands.
