Calli stared at the retreating figure, feeling the burn of indignation. She sighed and studied the human's card. Paranormal investigator, hm? Maybe she'll be able to take care of herself...fora short time... Retuning to Georg, who hadn't yet moved, she spoke to him with a grim face. "I'd very much like to talk to your friends. I feel I may have discovered something that would interest them." Deciding not to wait, Calli pulled the door to the Haven open and stepped inside. Holding the door, she glanced back at Georg. "As much fun as standing outside all nigt appears, I do think you may be interested in what I just witnessed." She stood there in the open doorway, waiting for his reaction.

Ariai watched as Liek curled up against Clifford. "Adorable, really," she mused, and sipped her tea with a wistful look in her eyes. She sensed a strong fondness enaminating from Liek, and the same feeling radiating from Clifford. "You two would make a nice couple," she said absently as she watched the young boy drink up the "special tea". She herself could do with some blood...she shook her auburn curls resolutely.

"I don't know how I could help you..." he began softly, trying to ignore the affectionate hugs and squeezes from across the table. He picked up his glass, eyeing it critically, before taking a long sip. Fortunately, he was able to get the contents in his mouth down his throat before he gagged.
"Are you sure this is tea?" Adrien asked, placing the glass down with trembling hands. "It's....it's awfully thick."
Though his tastebuds didn't seem to enjoy the strange concoction, his body sure seemed to. Goosebumps formed all along his arms and up his spine; he trembled violently, closing his eyes against the strange sharpness of detail he was seeing. There wasn't much he could do for his mouth, which was aching something horrible. He wondered for a moment if the "tea" had been poisened.
"I...I don't feel well," he whimpered, wrapping his arms around his knotted gut. All of a sudden he felt dizzy; he didn't think he would remain erect in his chair for long. Everything around him was spinning, even with his eyes closed.

Ariai slid over to Adrien. "Here now," she murmured. She cradled him in her arms, murmuring a spell. He was shivering more and more. Why though? she wondered. His body isn't rejecting the mixture, is it? She rubbed his back comfortingly, her body feeling the same queerness his was going through. "Ooh..."

"I do think, that this is his first drink." Liek said softly her eyes gaining a sympathy look to them. She had been in that position once before. It hadn't been her first drink, Clifford had fed her before hand, but it had been her first in a long while. "He needs more, even if he hits the floor." She said and siddled over while holding the cup between her hands like a bowl. She pressed it to his lips gently. "Do not worry, we are not your adversary." She glanced at Ariai thoughtfully. "Maybe Ari should drink as well, I think." Her head turned to look at Clifford to see what his decision was.

Adrien tried to bat the cup away weakly, clinging to the other's front like a frightened child without his mother. In fact, he was frightened; these people were so strange...he was feeling horribly ill...his mouth...his sight...all his senses seemed to be bursting with some sort of peculiar upgrade...
He could hear a fly buzzing outside of the small haven - a mile away; he could feel the air currents of someone sneezing in a back room with the hair on the backs of his wrists; he could see the grain of the wood as if he was using a magnifying glass; he tasted the air, and the particles that hung in it; he smelled the beings around him as if they had their own perfume. It was all so overwhelming.
"Please stop..." he begged, tears slowly trickling down his pale cheeks.

"Shh...it's alright." Ariai hugged him tight. "It will be better if you drink it all. Come on." She pushed the cup gently to his lips. Is the drink slowly turning him into a vampire? He looks so overwhelmed! "You'll be fine. Xonasil Manil Exhube..." She stroked his head as she murmured this mantra, hoping that her spell would help him cope the sensations he was feeling.

The vampire followed Faith with his hands in his pockets a few metres away. How strong he felt for this mortal, though the feeling was the lust for blood. The desire to drink from this woman who most likely knew much about his race. But he would have to hurry. Deimos was not one to attack his prey in their own homes. Another thing his wretched sire had impressioned upon him when he was a young fledgling. The dark-haired creature began to follow the mortal at a quicker pace so that he was now only a few metres away.
"The little flower wants adventure, does she?" cooed Deimos softly to himself. He could hear well what she was saying from this distance. The demonic blood-drinker would be more than happy to create excitement in this human's life.

As Clifford watched the poor boy's reaction it was like he was being afflicted himself. Every vampire remembers when they first changed...or almost everyone did at least. The elder man stood and looked at Ariai and Liek before moving away into the crowd of the heven to get them more drinks. At the bar while he waited his mind churned over what things he had learned resently. Someone had been killing humans and then leaving their undead corpes to terrorize the city. A plague of sorts has been ravaging the vampire populus and growing stronger with every case. And now they had found this lad who had propibly been drain and left for dead. ~Definately a good time to come home...~ He thought to himself before taking his tray back to the table with the others.

Ariai shivered as she remembered the time she had changed into a vampiress. It had been a trial she wasn't sure she was willing to go through again. Her body was little more frail than others, so when the inhanced senses arrived, she was overwhelmed, and was knocked unconcious for a long while. Or that's what Clifford said, at least... She let out a small cry, and hugged Adrien tight. "Don't cry, don't cry," she repeated.

Making a sharp turn, the young woman headed for the back entrance of the apartment complex. It was closer than going all the way around and it would get her inside faster. Maybe the man, Clifford, she had talked to earlier had called about hiring her. She really wanted the job; she could tell already that it would pay well. 'Maybe I'll have enough to invest in a bike... and a new wardrobe... and some decent food!' she thought as she quickened her pace.

The blooddrinker growled as his meal suddenly changed her path. He could tell that Faith was not headed to the front entrance of the apartment. That meant that Deimos had to attack now, or find another victim. But the raven-haired demon never gave up on his prey. This meant that the paranormal investigator did not have the Fates on her side.
Closing the distance between himself and the mortal woman, the demon did his best to hide his presence. Softening his breath to the point where even he could barely hear it, his footsteps audible only to himself, Deimos waited until Faith Anderson was in shadow to wrap an arm around her waist and to place a hand upon her mouth. "Don't struggle too much, my dove," he whispered softly in her ear. "You'll only hurt yourself."

Shivering lightly, Faith pulled her suit jacket tighter around her upper body as she listened to her own foot steps echo in the deserted street. She could see her home in the distance and it gave her a feeling of relief. Soon she would be home in her bed with a good book and a small meal. Yes, her life was quite simple when she was not thinking about work.
She had been hopeful until she felt someone else take hold of her. Her first instinct was to scream, and scream she did... right into the hand of her captor. Her eyes darted around wildly, looking for something she could use to attack the person once she got free.
The words he whispered in her ear echoed loudly in her thoughts as she gave an involuntary shiver. In all her years of being a paranormal investigator, she had never been so fightened for her life. If he wanted her wallet, he could have it. She didn't care. Being robbed was not as severe as all the other things that could happen to her.

Ariai stumbled back from Adrien as he swatted the cup, and her, away. "No, no," she tried to soothe. "You've misunderstood! We aren't all bad! Please, if you don't keep drinking it, you'll be caught between a vampire and a human! Please..." She held up another cup. "Please finish drinking it!"
