Why does it feel like the main rp is floundering as we have no definite plot line.

AHEM. Plot at the moment is as follows: Rufus is secretly conniving to take over Shin-Ra corp. by manipulating the events between AVALANCHE and Shin-Ra as we have seen so far. He's coordinating the invasion, which is supposed to happen this night (RP-time). Ehren (my character 3nodding ) is working directly under him to coordinate this, so he knows all about it, but nobody else has any idea what's goin' on. Ehren's trying to get the veeerrrrrry slowly moving Turks out of the building (A) because he's bored and wants a drink, and (B) because it'll make things go more smoothly if Avalanche is able to invade with no--or next to no--Turks in the building.
Rufus's plan is: Get the old man to drop the plate on Sector 7 (check), get Ehren to disable about half of the security functions so that Avalanche can invade without too much trouble, but without thinking things are suspicious (check), wait for Avalanche to strike back, let 'em bump off his old man, and then surround 'em and kill 'em, comin' in as the hero of the day.
It's not gonna work, of course, 'cuz Sephy's gonna get involved, and Sephy makes everything complicated.
That enough of a plot for ya?!

All for the part that Avalanche is caught by the Turks and confronted by president Shinra. How is that supposed to happen if they are all out drinking?

The attack shouldn't be occuring for several more hours, and the Ehren, at the least, thinks the ideal situation would be for the Turks to come back after Avalanche is already irremovably situated such that they are within striking distance of the President. I was thinking things would go awry, and the Turks would get back too early and capture them before Rufus's plan to get rid of both Avalanche and the President can be fulfilled.
But Sephy comes and does the job anyway.
How's that sound? I know that we were planning on having the invasion coming after the plate fell, anyway, soo... thought I may as well take some initiative.
Plus, some of Ehren's past gets to be revealed if this all plays out right. ^_^
