While the Spartan continued to 'mop up' the few grunts that remained in the area. A large blip on the built in motion tracker appeared, just as she picked up on what the lone marine had to say during this very moment. Rather than reply to his words straight away, Kelly opted to stick with the decision of clearing the area before answering the marine's question. But after witnessing Jason eliminate a charging elite, with a full clip of automatic fire, Spartan-087 raised the pistol yet again and accurately dropped the few grunts that were left alive from the original group.
"Spartan-087, or Kelly if you must." The female Spartan spoke only after swtiching on her external speakers, so that Jason would be able to hear her answer. The second Lieutenant then used her right hand to eject the empty clip and caught it with her left hand in the blink of an eye. Kelly then removed a fresh clip and placed the empty one in it's place, which was followed up by slapping the new clip in place and pulling the slide back on the weapon: thus ensuring the weapon was ready for when it was needed.
A few seconds after she had stood upright and moved out from behind her momentary cover. Kelly began a quick search of the area, a task made much easier and quicker to complete on account of the very same motion senser. The results of her search ended up revealing that this very area was clear, but there was no doubt in the Spartan's mind that this calm wouldn't last very long. Not when the Covenant still had their troops spread around in this area.
"We should get moving as quickly as possible. I'm sure that the Covenant forces nearby will be drawn to this area, due to the noise we caused." Kelly spoke to the marine who had fallen down to the ground. Not because he was injured, but he had used such a tactic to avoid being stuck by the plasma that came from the rifle the elite carried around. After nudging the slain elite with her foot and causing it to roll over as a result. While still awaiting a reply from the PFC, she swapped the pistol into her left hand and extended her right hand towards Jason, in order to help him stand up on his own two feet.

Sprinting top speed still, he could see a vague outline of Jason in the distance. As he continued to near though, he saw gunfire, and another Spartan. Logan could only speed up at the site. It had been ages since he had actually been near a ground engagement, let alone another Spartan. As he neared, he saw they had already managed to mop up what was left. He slowed, then stopped in front of them, and looked at the other Spartan. He could easily recall who it was. Putting two fingers over his mask, he clicked on his COM. "Been a long time Kelly.
Morgan made a quick signal with his hand, having his palm fully flat, and pointed it horizontally towards the rendezvous point where they were to meet up with Sergeant Graves. The rest of Team Nobody fell from their cover and sprinted full speed. Morgan could easily tell that they had another meters yards before they got their, so it wouldn't be horribly long, if they played it smart that is. As he was running, he watched the meters on the HUD slowly drop. 250 yards left. He continued to run, then skidded to a halt and found cover behind an old dumpster. Making a vertical circular motion with two fingers, the rest of the team stopped, and examined the area. Just a routine check. He motioned for them to move again, and sprinted as fast as their legs would carry them.

Glenn crouched behind a damaged building. When he felt that all was clear to take a look, he peeked out and saw some movement behind a dumpter. He quickly fell back behind his cover. "Flash," he shouted on the top of his lungs. The usual response to that was thunder but to his suprise he had a lone Grunt walk towards his direction. He raised his combat knife and crouched lower. 'Damn bastards must be close by' He waited until the Grunt was roughly two meters away and lunged to slit his throat. A quick slashing motion brought the knife into the Grunts skull. 'Heh, serves your a** right.'
Graves crouched back behind the wall and yelled "Flash!" and waited for a reply....

As Mendez's squad's numbers were dwindeling, he made a risky decision. "FALL BACK! EVERYONE FALL BACK!!!" As the marines made their way past, Mendez saw a private stumble and crash to the ground. Sprinting over, he grabbed the private's collar. "MOVE!!!!" Dragging him along, he continued until the private got up and ran, ran faster than he probably had ever run before. Yelling into his COM for anyone who listened, he sent out a distress call. "Anyone getting this message, please assist!" As the marines sprinted away, a Mortar blast smashed into their previous position. "WRAIIITH!!!!" looking over his shoulder, Mendez saw the bulky figure of a Covenant Wraith tank looming ominously over the covenant. Only a second went by, and a large, blueish white ball erupted from the tank. "MORTAR COMING IN!! WATCH IT!!!"

"Thank you, Kelly. My name is Jason Ellington, Private First Class." Jason extended his hand towards Kelly's and got up. He then saw Logan coming by, but it occured to Jason that he hadn't heard Logan's name either. He waited to see if it would be thrown around. He then heard Mendez's distress call. "Lieutenant Mendez, This is Private First Class Jason Ellington. Two Spartans and I are on our way to your location." Jason then started towards Mendez's location and knew he'd be scooped up any second now.

((Because Warsaw is not here to provide narration for him...))
Spartan-104, better known as Fred was doing his part and had helped Spartan-117 through a portion of New Mombasa before making his way inland, toward the City Center when he made contact with Spartan-103. The two brothers in arms moved through the concrete and steel jungle until they heard the call. They instantly knew the voice and were elated that she was still alive. Well, 103 was happier than 104. Fred had known that Kelly was alive for some time, but for Taylor, well, he had only been reunited with another spartan for the first time in, well, a long time, (a few campaigns before Reach in fact) a few hours ago. The two worked their way through another section of rubble and Covenant warriors until they were looking at the City Center, which was not in fact, the space elevator. That was a ways away. Next to it, was the Covenant Assault Carrier.
The two super-human-soldiers (better known as Spartans) moved down into the fray once more, nearing the rally point where they would hopefully regroup with the other Spartans who had entered combat.
[meanwhile in a very familiar stretch of New Mombasa coastline]
Spartan-117 blowed stuff up real good.
((Honestly, there's nothing we can really say about John other than he's killing things that should be not living any more.))

While Kelly stood there and helped the marine to his feet with ease, she listened to his introduction. But during that very time, she picked up on the sound of someone approaching from behind them and her left hand tightened around the pistol's handle on pure instinct. Spartan-087 then turned her body to one side and watched as one of her brothers approached her: One whom she recognized as Spartan-108, on account of the way he moved and his voice that appeared over the com link he had set up.
"Yes, it has been a long time. Logan." Kelly replied over the com and a concealed smile made it's way onto her face. A emotion that she displayed to Logan by raising her right arm and drawing two fingers across her visor, which obviously indicated a smiling gesture. The last time she had checked on what Spartans were still active or MIA, Logan's name was a part of the MIA list. (But even if they were killed in midst of battle, the spartans were listed as 'missing in action,' to keep morale high. This, was something Kelly knew and understood.)
But despite that claim being made about her brother in arms, Spartan-087 was glad to see yet another one of brethren alive. However, at the sound of a distress call appearing over their active com link's, Kelly along with Jason and Logan, picked up on a distress call coming from the first lieutenant, Thomas Mendez. Her attention then turned toward the PFC since he managed to answer to the distress call, before either one of the Spartan's present. A fact that hadn't bothered Spartan-087 in anyway, even though she was of higher rank than the marine was.
"We'll talk later Logan. Let's move out and provide assistance to lieutenant Mendez." Kelly spoke over the still active com link and switched the pistol back into her opposite hand. After hearing the sound of mortar fire echo through from nearby, she started walking ahead knowing very well that Logan could catch up to her without breaking a sweat. Which, she had just proved by catching up to the marine without even making a effort. If needed, Kelly could and probably would carry the marine in a attempt to quicken their pace. But first, she awaited for Spartan-108 to catch up with both herself and the PFC they were with.

ANtares chuckled at Lipton's comment and continued to look for a way down as Lipton wandered off. As he caught up, though. He heard lipton make a comment about the day. "Sir, I'd rather be able to kill gravity right now than have my chute." He quipped as he looked for any kind of handhold that he could use to scale the building and get to the vent...no joy. "If I were more gay, I'd suggest a human ladder, sir. But I'm afraid assless chaps aren't my thing"

Damn, how I wish I could keep up with a Spartan Jason thought to himself as he tried to keep up with Kelly. If carried, he already knew he could watch their backs, and aim quite effectively too. "Miss Kelly, if you carry me, I can watch our backs."

Nodding, Logan took off after Kelly, letting a mixture of sand and gravel kick from beneath his feet.
Morgan had barely ended up at the rendezvous point. He motioned for his team to take cover in a conveniently places building a few feet from the halfway point. Sergeant Graves should be there very soon.

Kelly, along with Logan and the slower marine, was still running through the immediate area. When she realized from the corner of her eye, that Jason was clearly failing to keep up with herself and Logan, she slowed down her pace somewhat before hearing in on his suggestion. One that she had thought of not too long ago and, had not put into action until this very request came about. Spartan-087 slowed her pace till she came to a complete halt, and tucked the pistol into the holster in which the weapon fit without casuing any trouble.
"Understood. But please don't call me miss. Either second LT, or Spartan-087 is fine." Kelly stated to the marine, which was something she could not be blamed for. This was the way she and the rest of the Spartan's were raised, calling out to another by rank or even their codenames. But that was enough of that. Kelly turned her full attention to Jason and even without giving him a warning. She had wrapped her right arm around his waist and plucked him off of the ground, as if he weighed nothing at all.
Kelly then placed her left hand on the bottom of Jason's left boot, for support purposes and therefore he was left to lean against her upper arm and shoulder area on the right side of her body. No longer wanting to waste any more time that may be precious to Lieutenant Mendez and whomever he was with. Kelly broke into a sudden sprint, that caused the gravel and dirt to stir up in the air as a result. With her 'cargo' being supported against her armored body and Logan following along still. Spartan-087 continued to head toward the area where their assistance was greatly required, while keeping a close watch on the built in sensor for any nearby hostiles.

Logan skidded as Kelly stopped slowly, as he was still full speed. He waited for her to pick the PFC up, then took off on a full speed sprint again. Spartan-108 needed to save that damn Lieutenant at all costs.
(( Damn... I really need to touch up on my posts. Then again, that's about all I can say. Blech, my OOC is almost more then my actual post. ))

Spartans 103 and 104 came to a corner that opened into a plaza of sorts. Debris littered the area and a large fountain was bisected by a rather large crack, caused by the still flaming wreckage of a Banshee. The Fountain had long since dried up and only a pool of bloody mud surrounded it. Light shimmered through the dust and rising smoke, making the world look both beautiful and horrid. The condition of the once proud and beautiful landscape of New Mombasa had been perfectly summed up by this plaza. All around them the city burned or bled, cut open and wounded by alien machinery. That was when the distress call from Lieutenant Mendez came in. Despite the volume, neither of the men flinched. Fred's head nodded in an almost imperceptible way, and Taylor acknowledged the order. They were going to help the entrenched marines. They weren't too far away, but it would take them in the opposite direction from the City Center. Of course, two Spartans showing up with another group of Marines would be a more welcome sight than two Spartans showing up alone. The two men moved out double time. Sprinting across the open ground, using all available cover and killing any non-human sonuvabitch dumb enough to get in their way.
((The only thing they need now are a few chainsaw bayonets and really bulky armor. Plus, the singular cuss word "s**t", used again and again, because using any other word is plain silly.))

"Sorry, Second Lt Kelly." Jason said as he drew his Assalut Rifle to shoot anything trailing them. He then pulled out his binoculars to look at a dust cloud forming in the distance. They were being followed by the Covenant in one of their Spectres. "Do you have a spare grenade, Second Lt?"
