"Oh?" Lore looked about, he walked a bit, perhaps thinking about the beanbag chairs that Rune had referred to before.
"There is she," Lore pointed towards one of them, "Now.. what did Celebor find?"

Elnara and Celebor were looking through the book together, but their expressions were entirely different. Celebor's eyes were excited, animated and bright, while Elnara's smile was unable to reach her eyes, which were - upon close examination - sad. "C'ebor fin' book," Skye told Lore seriously, then giggled. " 'Et's go see!" she urged him, clapping her hands together.

Lore quietly glided up to the mother and son, he tilted his head slightly notcing there was a strange look in Elnara's eyes. Not strange, just knid of sad he thought to himself as he put a hand upon Elnara's shoulder tentively, unsure if she would be alright with it.
"Elnara?"

Elnara jumped a little, but when she saw that it was just Lore, she laughed softly.
"I'm fine," she assured him with a smile, though it still wasn't quite reaching her eyes. "Just getting a little homesick, I think, looking through this book with Celebor." She shrugged and tucked her hair behind her ears. "I never know what might set it off ... but at least it hasn't been happening as often as it used to."
Not that the castle had ever really felt like home, but it had been her home by name for a long time, and when she thought about her homeland, that was what she visualized.

"I see...." Lore murmured looking at the pictures, "Is there anything I can do?"
He didn't know what prompted him to ask that, after all he didn't really know any cure for homesickness.

Elnara leaned on Celebor's shoulder for a moment, her expression thoughtful, and then she shrugged one shoulder. "I don't know," she replied simply. "Don't worry about it. I'll be fine." She smiled reassuringly at him, and this time it did reach her eyes. Skye tugged on Lore's sleeve and pointed down at Celebor. "Lore, Skye want sit," she told him, looking up at him with big eyes. "With C'ebor!"

"Okay," Lore chukcled at Skye putting the little girl down on a spot next to her brother, making sure to give her enough room so she wouldn't fall off.
He looked thoughtfully at Elnara, he wasn't so good at these kind of things, even though he was sure to have experienced homesickness himself, then again he had been neglected since he was quite young so maybe not so much as Elnara.

Skye crawled over so that she was sitting right in Celebor's lap, and she pointed at a picture of a castle in the book. "Mommy home?" she asked, looking up at everyone else. Elnara smiled and ruffled her hair. "A different one," she laughed; "but similar." She gave Skye's hair one final pat, then rose to her feet again. "Well," she smiled at Lore, "the children seem to be enjoying themselves here ... are there any medical books anywhere? I've started learning about healing at school, and I was wondering if there was anything here that might help me as well ..."

"Ah well..." Lore coughed, "If you're comfortable in leaving the children with Rune, I can show you. It's up on.. the second floor of the main library."
Since that was where they kept all their research materials anyhow.
"Though there are more periodials... but those are journals, and they are kept up on the third floor."

A faint blush sprinkled across Elnara's cheeks. "I wouldn't know the difference," she admitted. She turned and spoke to Celebor in rapid elvish, and the boy looked up at her and nodded, then grinned and went back to his book.
She looked to Lore. "They'll be fine here," she smiled softly.

"Good," Lore motioned for the door, "This way then," he told her showing her out of the Children's Room.
"We'll go to the second floor then," Lore suggested, since he figured elnara was still learning.

Elnara nodded and followed him closely.
"Exactly how long have you worked here?" she asked him curiously, walking beside him.

"Hmm...." Lore thought about it for a moment as he showed her the entrance to the stairwell, he didn't like elevators all that much, even though he would admit they were useful, "For over a century and a half I think," he told her.

Elnara's eyebrows rose slightly in surprise, and she smiled. "It must be nice to have something so constant in your life for so long," she commented as they started up the stairs. "I mean, the only constant thing I can remember in my own life is hiding ..." She shrugged.

"But if I recall, you're not that old," Lore smiled fondly as he made his way up the steps, "It only accounts for part of my life, there's still a few decades before I arrived here."
