I don't understand why you all think they're all arrogant. When you think about it, most of the time they hide from the outside cultures, like humans, in their large forests. Just think of the history of Cormanthor. The elves kept Myth Drannor hidden from other cultures.

the fact that they hide themselves away from everyone else is one of the main reasons people think they're so aragent
they hide themselves away because they don't want their culture tainted by other races 9_9
Myth Drannor is a perfect example, the thought of letting other races in to the city to learn magic was the biggest controversy they ever faced, one that almost had the city split into two and at arms...

Not all elves choose to keep to themselves! there are some who will willingly mix with other cultures, and races.

(check back a few pages and you will see where that comes from) Back on topic but is it there fault that they are arrogant or are they really just that awesome?
That all depends on who you are talking too.
and what do u say?
i think that, elves like everyone, react on instinct, some hide it better than others, arrogance maybe a trait all share but how much it shows varies from preson to person, but there a few who do not show at all and those are mostly clerics, there are some who completely arrogant to their limits, and some who know when to quit. but, I know some who don't like to be the strongest and when they are they don't say much.

just because a few act contrary donesn't make it a norm...
you can find exeptions to anything confused

it's like saying that there are Dwarf Druids or good Drow
they exist, but it's hardly common

its more common than you would expect.

I know it's much more common then the two examples I compared it too
but it is still hardly the norm
Elves that freely associate with everyone and travel about do indeed come about often enough, but they are usually considered (if nothing else) unorthodox by both other elves (unless they act the same) and other races...

Thank you!!!!!!!!!! you have no idea how happy I am you finally took an active interest in this thread. Besides the only elves the even consort with humans on a normal basis and treat them half way close to equals is moon elves that's why most half elves are moon elves. They are elven liberals.
