Dante Deus Dude, where'd you get that friggin' monocle? I can't find them ANYWHERE... and I want one... I also need good black pants, a black shirt, and some black boots... it'd probably help it I'd stop donating to this guild... but I'm trying to get promoted to crew. I got the monocle at Barton Jewelers, I do believe the name is called. It is one of the shops. Hmmm, there are boots that are similar to the ones I am wearing and those are at H.R Wesley's shop. Ummm, the pants I am wearing are gunner pants. Get the romani pants if you feel Godfather-ish. The black complex shirt is cool. The things I am describing are expensive for your tastes probably. Not really.

Ok, random poem... I'm actually writing now!
Fire scorches the earth, flames scrape the sky. The blaze destroys life. The inferno is me.
The firestorm rages, life whithers before the mighty tempest of flame. My anger rages.
A whirlwind of embers, a tempest of fire, my anger eats away the lush green of innocence burns to ash.
The storm subsides and the embers darken. My temper calms, but the damage is done.
Nothing can take it back, and I cannot heal these scars. No one can fill these holes, and I am utterly alone... the calm after the storm.

Ahh, not bad my good friend. I see that your love of politics and war influences you still. I enjoyed picturing this in my mind. Good stuff.

Yeah, war = good poetry... at least in my mind it does... and fire is the most amazing element to write on... it's so furious, but it can be calm, collected... fire is amazing... and yes, to those who don't know, I AM a pyro.

Hey Dante I like your war poem because it starts off at a "medium pace" and it keeps getting faster (or at least that's how I read it. Please keep up the good work. I have yet to read your others...so off i go!

I don't know where the hell I been, but I shouldn't have been there (wherever that was) because I should have been here!! Dante, seriously...great stuff. I've been in Gifted for nine years, and I've seen much poetry. How old are ye, composing such? My name is Premo, and I'm a Dante's poetry-a-holic.

Haha, I'm 18, but much of that stuff is pretty old. The oldest ones date back to when I was like... 10? My favorite poem was my first ever... and I'm afraid I cannot retrieve it at this time... I wrote it when I was 6... and it was amazing, according to my teachers. I still hear today that it's my best... I just wish I could find it... I'm gonna write more today... and probably post them as I write them.

A wild storm inside me roars and rips me apart. I'm torn from this world in a torrent of violence, of lust, destruction, death, fire, pain.
I am crushed beneath the burden of this load. The paranoia cuts me inside, a diamond edge on the blade of appocalypse. I'm shredded to nothing.
My body dissolves into the void, and I join the ranks of oblivion, a face in the horde. I'm nothing more than they.
Confined to darkness my soul rages. Pounds on the walls of its prison and rattles the shackles of its bondage.
The darkness drips, as blood drips from the wounds of the fallen warrior, flooding the world and blinding my eyes.
The cold blankets my body, ice glazing my soul. I lose myself in my own mind, and cry out in vain.

I was actually talking to Stephanie about some very personal things when I wrote it... I seriously almost ripped myself asunder with emotion... so I had to write... and that's what came out.

asunder...such an interesting dramatic word...but I understand the feeling...I noticed you seem to have a constant theme...and that is war just like kharne said...it's an interesting focal point for poetry...

Indeed, war is a good for material. Fear, anger, love, hate, confusion, anguish, joy even.... you could apply a broad range of emotions to the subject and use many different parts of nature to apply to it.
I find that Josh is good for a little dramatic wording usually.

The english language = my friend. Dramatic wording is what makes me me. I love using words that convey my feelings as much possible... and asunder is the word that definitely described the way I felt. Kharne is totally right about war... the broad range of things that go with it make it an extremely effective subject for poetry. Many emotions come with it... and such imagery that can be produced through war... I love it.

The gears of war grind forever in the desert sun. Oil runs like blood from the battlefeild. Screams from the fallen, screeches from mechina, the desert sands are restless. The spirits of the desert sands demand atonement. Blood runs on the battlefeild, just as the oil ran before. Oil and blood mingle and a new era dawns. The earth has bled, man has bled, now is the time for us to come together, and mend the scars this war has left behind. Man against man, man against earth, man against sky, man against the universe. Now is the time for man to make amends. Now is the time for all of man to come together, but instead he is torn against the world. He fights, destroys, he ruins everything. Man and his fallacy... They destroy it all.
Honestly people... I HATE this one... don't know why... but I do... I really just can't find myself attracted to this one... I don't like it in the least...
