Escargot.Pudding Delacroix_Ghost @Sonata- Where did you get that little Enjy cartoon in your sig? He's uberly adorable! There's a Japanese site with of bunch of those pixely-things. There was a topic on it in the fan creation forum. EDIT: Hah! It looks like they just had an update and that new Javert pic looks like that really old one. Fun. And earlier there was this little girl with the cutest Eponine hat! It was alternating raspberry and pink and it was super puffy. The girl's name was Josephine 4laugh {SONATA} -->Well, now I know that the random image works. 3nodding
! And her name rhymes, too, and has the same amount of syllables. "Oh, Josephine, the things you know...you wouldn't find in books like these..." In fact, I think you can subsitute every "Eponine" in the libretto with her name.
And to be on topic...I always have little Prouvaire moments in Lang. Arts. At the beginning of the year, she said we were going to do a lot of writing. I was estatic...and possibly the only one who cheered when she mentioned "poetry." Though I always complain whenever we have writing assignments due overnight...it's like squeezing an orange for juice when it doesn't have any more. My ideas come slow, but they're really good, some say, once I have them. idea Certain thoughts are prayers. There are moments when, whatever the attitude of the body may be, the soul is on its knees.

Oh, more from the cast.
Our Feuilly (man) was dating our 'Ferre (Girl).
I should suggest a feuillyxferre pair in the shippings thread. Hmmm...that would be...

I just finished mixing a pot of fake blood. I need it for theatre tommarrow. Anyway, I was wearing my 'ponine hat, as always. So I got this bright idea. I put some blood on my hand, and streaked some more across my forehead. I went running into my parents room, callasped on the ground and sung "Don't you fret... Monsuier Marius, I don't feel any pain...." ect. They didn't get it, they aren't cool enough talk2hand
When I explained it, my dad got all embarassed. He's ashamed I turned out to be such a theatre geek. emo

We'll have a barricade and 'erything wink 'tis a shame in consentrate upon a sigular muscial. I say, listen to your Poto, and enjoy it to its fullest! But by god... do not forget where thy loyality lays! Feel free to look away, but remember, turn not thy back upon the shining greatness that is Les Miserables!

{SONATA} -->My family approves. In fact, some of them have already memorized 90% of the melodies since I listen to it so much. rolleyes
And I agree...listening only to Les Mis could actually lessen your love for it, by being too repetitive. Especially if it's the same recording. I listen to a whole variety of other musicals, but I devote all my obssession to Les Mis. Certain thoughts are prayers. My Eponine (Thats what I call my older sister that, because I find it highly amussing that we're two years appart, like Eponine and Azelma. I insist she call me Azelma, but she won't... I got her to call me her "brat of a little sister" once, so I guess thats close enough...) is theatre geek too. She's the one that got me into theatre, accutally. So at least some of my family is supportive. mrgreen My dad doesn't get it. He was a jock in highschool, and he doesn't understand how he has two theatre geeks for daughters.
I would have "A little fall of rain"ed her instead, but she wasn't here at the time.

Yes, my parents claim they're 'supportive' of my theatre-ness, but they roll their eyes every time I'm running out the door, saying I'm going to auditions for the local theatre group. gonk It's mean.
And my parents say that my sister would be good at theatre, but I know she would NOT. >.> She'd be good at bad stand-up comedy.

Every fan has at least five musicals up their sleeve. stare My parents aren't too happy about me being in theatre, either. And I'm a guy, so that makes it worse. They thought I was gay at some point. xp Though... haha. I'd never do a death scene in front of my parents. They'd either give me terrible critique or give me the "Are-you-sure-you've-finished-your-homework?" look. lol

Tell them this-you've got a better chance, because there are less guys that are into theatre. Yeah. WELL, today I was like, in math class, and I don't know why, but I started humming 'stars' and the guy behind me was like, "OHMYGAWDCRAZYGRL, STFU!" crying Oh well. And I ALWAYS sing either "Who am I" or "On my Own" walking home from school, depending on my mood. Walking to school, it's usually something from another musical.
Oh, and guys, there's an evil girl who lives next door. We gave her a car pool, and so we're listing to LM, and I'm all like, OMGYAYSING! And start singing along with Javert (it was that dialouge in the prolouge...), and she's like, "Oh miy gawd! This is lyke, old people music!" And I wanted to strangle her. Soooo annoying.

Jeannie: Here! Ms. Bosch: Sarah? Sarah: FRENCHBOYS! Ms. Bosch: Sarah's here. XD; GEE I WONDER WHICH ONE IS ME. xd Nice. Jeannie is an awsome name...as is Sarah of course.
Something like that (okay not quite like that) happened to me today as well. Aujourd'hui en le Cercle Français, a few of us had seen Wicked over the summer so we got to talking about that. Then I got to talking with this one guy who was musical-obsessed...Fèlix I think his name was...about the actors who played Elphaba.
Fèlix: So you've never heard Soshana Bean either? What actors have you heard?
Eponine (my French name...not real name): Well I don't know a lot about Wicked, but ask me anything about Les Mis...have you seen Les Mis?
Fèlix: I saw it last year, but I didn't like it.
*There is a moment of shocked silence, then a death glare on my part*
Fèlix: I mean...I don't really like opera.
*More glaring*
Fèlix: Well...I saw it with my friends. Maybe that's why I didn't like it.
*Even more glaring*
Eponine: You mean you only saw it that one time, AND YOU DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER TO LISTEN TO ANY OF THE CDS?!!!! scream *glare*
Fèlix: Um...no. I should probably do that.
Eponine: You probably should. *glare*
Fèlix: ...I have to go. *Packs up* Au revoir tout le monde. *Leaves*
Tout le monde: Au revoir Fèlix!
I think I scared the poor guy away. But I'm still in shock becuase that was the first time I've ever heard someone say they don't like Les Mis.

{SONATA} -->Haha, all of those moments are funny...I'm no way near obssessed. Somewhat self-concious, and I'm quiet most of the time.
Monsieur Félix is musical-obssessed, but yet loves Wicked and doesn't like Les Mis? ...Ironic...it kinda peeves me off how people love the modern things, yet absolutely despise the older ones. Without the trailblazers, we couldn't have what we have today. Which should be a more adequate answer to every student's question of "Why do we have to study this history stuff?"
And Les Mis isn't opera...in this program thingy I got, it says Boublil and Schonberg wanted to create a show that would combine musical and opera styles. So while Les Mis has some opera in it, such as no speaking, some recicitives here and there, and its general dramatic air, the songs themselves aren't necessarily operatic. Certain thoughts are prayers. There are moments when, whatever the attitude of the body may be, the soul is on its knees.

There are moments when, whatever the attitude of the body may be, the soul is on its knees. What's more, he's in the French club. Doesn't make sense. I agree about Les Mis not being a full-fledged opera. Some of the sung dialogue (what's the term for that?) sounds operatic, but the most of the solos are pop style. At least I think so...I tend to suck at music genres and things like that.
