Blackheart pratically dodged the attack and only got a little nick on his leg. Blackheart went for Altairs neck.

Something on his neck was bleeding, whether it was fresh or not, he couldn't tell, and didn't care. It wouldn't matter until it really started to incapacitate him, and that wasn't now.
Altair went to bite Blackheart's throat.

Blackheart felt Altair attack his throat. Blackheart took his front paws and attack Altairs eyes.

Oh, crap, not the eyes, not the eyes, not the eyes! Flying away wasn't going to do any good, and so he kept his wings firmly pressed against his sides. He couldn't panic, he didn't have time for this, he was in the middle of a battle.
Okay, he had to be calm when he couldn't see. Lovely. But a few breaths later the world returned in full, amazingly fuzzy, color. Okay, he saw a lump that was Arduna, and another one that was Blackheart. He couldn't hesitate: he had to attack. He lunged at Blackheart's side, hoping to tear Blackheart's wings.

Altair ripped Blackheart's wings a bit, but ebough so that he couldn't fly.Blackheart attacked Altairs eyes agian.

Yes, it looked like Blackheart wouldn't be able to fly for awhile, now! Which meant that Blackheart couldn't take to the sky to escape him. Not that he had shown any inclanation to do so, earlier, but still, the more ways you could cripple and hinder your enemy, the better.
And Blackheart's attack completely missed Altair's eyes. Altair used his non-dominant paw for a change, and took a swing at Blackheart's eyes, hoping to catch him off guard.

Another scatch. Another annoying minor wound. And his vision was coming back, albeit slowly. But he still thought that he could hit Blackheart's injured leg, so that was what he swung for.

Blackheart was off target, so he ended up scratching Altair's face, instead. Altair's vision, while still blurry, was now clear enough that he decided it was worth the slight risk to attack Blackheart's eyes. See how he liked going around half-blind!

And his vision was blurry again. Okay, eyes were out. He had already gotten Blackheart's wing, but he wasn't sure if he could actually hit something smaller than Blackheart's body.
Fine then, the other wing it was. Altair lept at Blackheart's uninjured wing, and clawed at it.

Blackheart winced as Altair ripped his other wing.Blackheart new he had lost this fight, but he wasn't going to leave until he had one final blow to Altair.He swung his paw at Altairs eyes, then Blackheart would retreat.

Altair snarled at Blackheart. He had won the fight, and the looser had no right to be taking swipes at him, especially swipes that actually hit! And his eye at that!
At least it was just one eye. His vision was mostly returning in the other one. But in the eye Blackheart hand injured--blackness.
more? Are you still not done? Because if you have a death wish, I'll be more than happy to fufill it!> Altair shouted at Blackheart.
