We've already determined where it went. Raistlin took it after at the end of Summer of Flame.

And they never found it in the Blood Sea. It was chilling in the tower of Wayreth until Par Salian gave it to Raistlin as Compensation for the results of his test. Before that, it was used by Magius who is supposed to have created it. (Hence the name)

Ever wonder...
What happened to the Staff of Magius after the Chaos War?

Palin used it, and still had it at the end of Summer Flame, but no longer carries it during the War of Souls...
I wonder when and where it will Resurface....

stare Ummm...Raistlin took it with him at the end of Dragons of Summer Flame. It resurfaced in the WoS's Raistlin had it when he spoke to Gerard.

I know this is old and somewhere down the line, someone has answered this but really.
