It was finally seeming as though their strikes were having an effect on the large Pokemon. It appeared to be tiring, but it was still holding on strong. It was impressive that it could absorb so much abuse from so many different sources. Metsuki's hand was starting to hurt from hitting the Tropius so many times. Striking its side was like punching the trunk of a tree. It was such a sturdy Pokemon that it made Metsuki feel insignificant when he was near it.
The time for admiring the Pokemon was over and the time for action had arrived. He wasn't causing much damage, but Metsuki knew that they would be able to capture the Tropius before long. He was sure that he was sounding like a broken record at this point, but he called out to Saphira again, "Keep it up, Saphira! We are weakening him with every attack. Give it all that you've got! Use Splash and distract him for me!". This time as the Magikarp sailed through the air Metsuki waited for her to make contact before he struck. He wanted to mix up his maneuvers so that he could keep the Wild Pokemon guessing.

Sukotto looked over at Metsuki and noticed that his companion was as baffled as he was about the Pokemon's willpower. They had been hammering on it for what had seemed like forever and it was just now showing signs of weakness. Figuring that a full on assault from his half of the team would potentially finish the large Pokemon off, Sukotto decided to hold back a little. "Koiru, you can rest for the time being but keep your guard up as it might attack you again." With that, the trainer launched a solo attack, aiming a swift kick at where the team had been striking for much of the battle.

The large Pokemon figured that it must have disabled the metal ball, as it wasn't moving much anymore. It decided to try and take out one of the humans who had been hitting it continuously, aiming another Gust attack at Sukotto.

It was unbelievable that the Tropius was still standing. Their attacks had obviously taken their toll on the large Pokemon. It was barely standing now and kept shifting its weight to maintain its balance. Metsuki was sure that if he could land one more solid blow then Sukotto could capture the Wild Pokemon. He said to Saphira "Last time, Saphira! Attack at the same as me and let's finish this! ". Metsuki ran at the Tropius one more time and Saphira launched herself yet again towards her target.

It finally seemed as though the large Pokemon was ready to be taken down. While the beast had impressive stamina, it didn't seem to have much attacking power for its size. Even though it had blown a strong wind at Sukotto and had knocked him over, he was still in decent shape. He figured that with training however, the Pokemon could truly become a powerhouse. Without any more hesitation, the Viridian snatched one of the three remaining empty Pokeballs from his belt and whipped it at the Tropius. He knew that this creature would be more difficult to capture than anything else he had ever attempted, but Sukotto was confident that the beast had been worn down sufficiently.

Somehow, the Pokeball managed to swallow the large beastly Pokemon whole before closing itself up. It rolled around slowly yet steadily, as if it were carrying a lot of weight inside. Only moments later, the ball stopped moving and settled. Tropius had been captured!

Metsuki let out a long and heavy sigh. It wasn't a very difficult battle, but it had been long and tiring. He was sure that Sukotto would make good use of the Tropius so it was all well worth it in the end. Despite feeling quite exhausted he wanted to try and capture a Pokemon of his own. He said to Saphira, "You did very well, Saphira! Return to your Pokeball and get some rest!", and then recalled her to her Pokeball. The Magikarp gurgled happily as she was enveloped in the bright light from the Pokeball.
Metsuki clipped Saphira to his belt and said to Sukotto, "Well fought, Sukotto! That Pokemon will prove to be powerful for you with the proper training. I think that I am going to head to the Mountains and try my luck there. You are welcome to join me. See you around!" he then headed towards Route Surrency.
