 He groaned in pain and his head moved towards the sound of his voice. Slowly, his hazy amber eyes opened and he asked with strain, "Inu....yasha?"

 Sango looked towards Sesshomaru. He seemed to be in more pain then she had thought. Sango watched as Sesshomaru opened his eyes. "Inuyasha will be fine." she said.

 He heared the taijiya's words and felt some relief steel into him at the knowledge. Sesshomaru's eyes were barely foucusing from the self induced torture he had put himself through. Never-the-less, he answered his sibling and even used his pet name in the process. "I'm managing, Yash.
I barely have...the ability to see...and moving is completely...out of the question.
Even though there...wasn't much choice but to...use that forbidden spell, I'm sure...to be excuted as punishment."

 Sango saw Sesshomaru's eyes go in and out of focus. "Stay still." She warned. "I won't let you die."

 He thought about Rin and what would happen to the little human girl that he had grown to love like his own pup. Sesshomaru was worried about what would happen to her, should he be excuted for what he had done. The taiyoukai didn't want her to be alone and unprotected. An image of a smirking Inuyasha filled his mind then. What would become of his little brother? As he was mulling over various outcomes, his amber eyes filled with a vague sadness.

 The taiyoukai could see that Rin was badly worried about him, having woken up to the sound of the battle and witnessed that he nearly took his own life trying to protect her and Inuyasha, and everyone else by association. However, he was protecting Shippo because he was merely a kit though he didn't exactly make it obvious. Taking notice of her tears, he softly touched the side of her face and began brushing them away with his thumb. He then held her close to soothe her.

Sango sat down next to Rin. She put Shippo in her lap and waited until Sesshomaru was done soothing Rin. When he was done she pulled Rin into a tight hug and stroked her hair gently.

 The little girl looked up at Sango with worry clearly written on her small face. She was holding on to her traveling kimono, as she asked, "Will Lord Sesshomaru be alright?
I don't want to lose another daddy."

Sango pulled Rin in tighter. "I'll do everything I can for Sesshomaru. I don't want you to lose another daddy either sweetie."

  inuyasha was shocked at waht the miko said "Rin waht do you mean another? Have you already lost your dad?"he questoined not knowing the story behind his brother meeting the human child.Kagome was still holding inuyasha in her arms and running her fingers through his hair trying to keep him still. "do you not know Inuyasha? have I not told you yet?" she said looking at the hanyou confused. "no i think not...... how strange....." the hanyou thought. "I diddent even know you knew...." "but lets wait until Sesshomaru i feeling himself." he huffed trying not to move to much because of his injuries.

 Rin looked to Inuyasha and nodded, while Sesshomaru closed his eyes in need of rest. She then explained herself, "I found him lying under a tree in the forest near the village that had taken me in after my parents and brothers were slaughtered by bandits.
He tried to scare me off because he was hurt, but I stayed and kept trying to help him.
Even though he refused anything I gave him to eat, he asked how I got my bruises.
The village men beat me up for taking fish from the reserve.
No one there cared about me and Lord Sesshomaru was the only one that had ever asked about my appearance, since I came to that village.
I couldn't help but smile at him.
When I went back, this really scary wolf demon with black hair and light blue eyes had hunted down a demon that stole some sort of shard from him.
After getting it back and killing him, he ordered his wolves to eat everyone.
I ran as fast as I could trying to get back to Lord Sesshomaru, but I tripped over a tree root and fell.
The three wolves that were chasing me attacked and then everything went dark and cold.
There was a bright light and when I opened my eyes, Lord Sesshoamaru was holding me.
He gave me this pretty kimono later that day."
