Çħαø Ŀїηġšħεη "Ras teil mai magicscir magister!" A girl, not too dissimilar to any other living in the large metropolis known as Mahora, sat upon a bench, in a park, at the top of a hill, in the bustling downtown part of the city. She wore a light jacket for the weather over typical clothing, a beige shirt and loose-fitting jeans.
On the bench beside her was a bag of miscellaneous items from a nearby convenience store: a warm sandwich for a meal, a soda to drink, and a candy bar to snack on afterwards. Leaned back comfortably into the bench, she quietly and calmly munched on the sandwich, watching the denizens of Mahora go about their Saturday evening activities.
"Come, Tyrant of Flame, heed the contract and serve!"

Konoka KonoeMy merciful tears will tend to, and heal all your wounds, and scars After Konoka had her tears dried she smiled gently at her servant. As she began to feel better she looked in the distance, and saw one of her class mates not seen for some time from her personal trip. The girl was proclaimed as the Genesis of Mahora, and ran the local dinner by the school. "Chao San!" Konoka Went running to her looking happy to see a familiar face since they had spent some time studying even though Chao did not need to, but was just helping her out. She paused looking at the time, and freaked out running to her servant going though her oversize bag pulling out various snacks, and charms. She ran to Chao placing a assortment of candy, soba noodles, and small charms in her lap in a small bag. "Great to see you again, but its getting late! I got to give these other gifts to the others in class!" She bowed to excuse herself, and grabbed her servant by his arm running at a very fast pace to the dorms. [exits]

Çħαø Ŀїηġšħεη "Ras teil mai magicscir magister!" The aforementioned 'genius of 3-A' blinked at the sudden arrival and departure of her classmate, then looked down into the bag of miscellaneous items that she had left behind. Spying its contents, she smiled faintly at the thoughtfulness of her classmate.
"Always in a hurry-ne, that Konoe-san."
Glancing at her watch, she determined it was probably a good time to head home. Tossing her sandwich wrappings into a nearby trash can, she put the remains of her dinner in the bag that Konoka had given her and headed back in the direction of the dorms.

Seno Nakakami Stand and fight Join the light Into the battle of power and might The red-and-silver frame of Seno's motorcycle raced through the downtown area of Mahora, its speed causing it to be a blur before the vision of most people who happened to be along the streets nearby.
Slipping sideways into oncoming traffic to skirt around a delivery truck, the swordsman glanced back over his shoulder to see that his pursuer was still doggedly after him. A blaring horn ahead of him drew his attention forward again, just in time to cut back into the proper lane to avoid being flattened by a compact car.
He had no illusions that his pursuer would get hit by that car, that only happened to the red shirts that followed after the named bad guy, not that this enemy had any red shirts following her. The fact that the fear in Motoko's voice had been obvious was proof enough that this foe was really dangerous.
That was all well and good, though. Let this enemy pursue. She'd follow him straight into the lion's den. Sound the guns Raise the cannons of war

The frame of her motorcycle was stockier than the one Seno was riding, but despite that, the personal modifications she’d made had taken the stocky frame into account, and made the bike faster overall as a result.
Wider frame, bigger engine, more horses, etc.
She followed him around the delivery truck, and when he cut back into the proper lane to avoid the compact car, she skirted to the other side of it, shooting ahead with a twist of her accelerator, and coming back out into the lane directly beside Seno, bringing her bike towards his with a sharp lean into him.
Following him straight into the lion’s den wasn’t exactly something she was worried about. In fact, she hoped he’d lead her to more of them. She hadn’t had a good massacre in years.

Seno Nakakami Stand and fight Join the light Into the battle of power and might Yep, skilled as expected. This one wasn't going to be easy to lose. His helmeted head shifted marginally in the direction of his pursuer, his quick glance noting with no small bit of irony that the model of motorcycle was exactly the same as Motoko's. Even despite that, she was able to keep pace with him remarkably well. Customized, then. He'd have to take advantage of his bike's greater maneuverability.
Clamping his left index finger on the brake, he leaned backward and to the right, the sudden deceleration and his weight shift bringing the bike from over a hundred to a burning, tire-squealing halt in less than thirty feet. He planted his boot on the ground, applying leverage to spin the vehicle back around before twisting the accelerator again.
White smoke issued from the spinning tires before they regained traction, the sudden acceleration lifting the front end clear off the ground, skid marks left behind on the ground as he raced back the other direction. This time, he stayed against the flow of traffic, barely evading collisions at the last second, counting on his smaller frame to give him the barest of edges.
Ahead was an offramp leading down from a highway, the one that he normally used to travel to and from Hinata. He was banking on getting onto the highway and losing her there amongst the traffic.

When he decelerated and dropped back and spun, she couldn’t have said she was expecting it. Of course, she couldn’t have said she wasn’t expecting it either. His tires spun, and he shot off in the other direction.
He wanted to play it that way? Oh, that was fine; she could play it different too.
She eased on the brakes and her speed dropped, as she pivoted the bike around with a hard lean to the right, one booted foot shooting out to skid along just above the pavement, a catch if she fell. The bike finished the full turn and she drew her foot back up, and hit the accelerator, hard.
In the five seconds it had taken her to slow, spin, and resume acceleration, she’d begun to pick up speed again, hitting 60 in about 2.5 seconds, her speed pushing 100 at the six second mark.
She’d end up overtaking him at this rate, if she could continue on a relatively clear path. She was sticking to the shoulder of the road though, so she could maintain speed. She’d attempt to cut across at the ramp – she could probably do it. And she could jump it if she had to.

Of all the durned luck. He had gotten his stuff done early, and for once, managed to get out early. Now what. His phone, still connected to the dash-mount, showed one clear text message from Haruko.
'Emergency. We need you here. Now.'
Of all the damn rotten luck. Lorenzo mused as he tried to drive as fast as possible without breaking the law. What happened then was a growing whine of a motorcycle engine eventually made him look up at the rearview. Didn't need to anyways, as said bike raced past him, swerved between a delivery truck and nearly smacked into a compact. It was followed by another bike close at hand.
"What in bloody ******** was...oh..." He pressed the horn as he waited for the compact to clear. <******** Japanese streets. He cursed, as he floored it and manipulated the gears, and sped after the two. But the difference in speed was too great, and soon all he can do was inform Hinata that Seno was being tailed. He looked to his left, noting that the gun case containing his rifle was still there, as was the pistol vault right underneath the dash. He pushed a button on the phone holder. A tense "Yes." greeted him.
"I won't catch up to them in time. My One Thirty is meant for off road, not this. He's pushing his bike as best he can from what I saw. I'll be there as soon as I can."
"Understood."
With that, he made his best speed back to Hinata. Best speed being him trying his best to get to Hinata to be of any effect. His everpresent thought would always be: 'Will you bloody Japanese build civilized roads for once?'

Seno Nakakami Stand and fight Join the light Into the battle of power and might The RPM indicator on the dashboard surged into the red before stabilizing as he surged up the onramp and onto the highway, the indignant horns of the vehicles he was weaving between already put out of his mind from the familiarity. Sparing a glance down at the status of the gauges on his dash, he was suddenly glad that he'd stopped to fuel before going to the World Tree; this chase was going to suck down the gas at a prodigious rate.
Another glance behind showed that his pursuer was still doggedly after him, but at least now he had some semblance of support. He hadn't picked Lorenzo's Land Rover out of the traffic he'd been weaving through until he was making the return trip and had barely missed careening into him on the return trip.
"Note to self: Next vehicle upgrade, install pursuit deterrents...."
"We're on our way to help you. If that is truly who I believe it is, we can only hope to be able to drive her away."
"Dammit, Motoko, I'm not kidding," he hissed, cutting around an oncoming police vehicle. "Damn, I'm getting arrested for this. Anyway, I'm serious. Stay at home. The rest of us can handle this. Who the hell is after me anyway?"
"The dark demon Mikaboshi. Or if you rather, the boogey-man of the Aoyama clan."
"...Really."
"It is not information that those outside the family would be told. Our greatest failure, a product of our own arrogance."
The rush of adrenaline was beginning to plateau, such that the sheer insanity of driving against traffic at over a hundred wasn't even a cause for sarcasm at this point. "You'll understand when I say that the full story can wait."
He hadn't meant it in an assholeish manner, and it wasn't taken that way. "Of course. Try to link up with Ruiz-san, that should buy enough time for Naru-san to catch up."
"Heh, roger that." But first, he had to make sure that his enemy was locked on. Sound the guns Raise the cannons of war

For her part, the cloaked girl who stood under the highway gazed up, listening at all the sounds, until she heard the one she wanted to hear. Master, the target, and pursuit. Excellent. She'd show her power just this once, and while she was out of sight. She couldn't let all the joyful little targets know her real strength this early. That was the recurring boss rules, right? In any case, as Tomoko and Seno passed by, two flashes occured as she performed two iaijutsu techniques. The first cut a swath of road behind the two, to cut off the extra pursuit. The second was further ahead, to cut off an escape route, putting Tomoko and Seno on an 'island' of road. She doubted he'd be able to jump it, but he was Shinmeiryu. She might be wrong. In any case, she sheathed her blade, and headed to the target area. She had a prize to catch, and she couldn't afford too many distractions if she was going to get her living prize, and her nonliving, in a way, prize as well.

Seno Nakakami Stand and fight Join the light Into the battle of power and might As soon as the road before him vanished, taking a couple cars along with it, he clamped down on both handbrakes, leaving a trail of burnt rubber along the asphalt as he screeched toward a halt. He leaned forward and pressed his weight down on the front tire to bleed off momentum, causing the rear tire to come up even as he continued to slide forward, the yawning gulf of the destroyed section of road stretching on before him. Briefly, he contemplated that it may have been better to try and jump it.
Fortunately, his forward momentum burned out right at the edge of the precipice, leaving him kipped up on his front tire for a moment, before gravity reasserted its dominance and yanked the rear tire back to the ground. He grunted from the jostling, then sighed, shook his head, and booted down the kickstand.
"Yeah, I hope the gang's like two minutes out, because these bastards just blew down the road in front of me," he remarked, stepping off the bike and studying the chasm for a moment. "God, I'm glad the premium on our hero's insurance is paid up. I don't know if they'll charge us for this or not..."
"We'll be there soon. I'm certain you can hold her off until we arrive."
"Honey, I don't like the fact that you keep using the word 'we.' There should not be 'we.'" As he spoke, he reached up and removed his helmet, letting it drop to the road below him and clatter up against the motorcycle's frame. "You should be saying 'they,' because you should be sitting on the couch in the living room. In your condition, you're a giant target."
He removed the backpack as well, setting it on the leather seat, and then reached across the vehicle to remove the gold-trimmed katana from its place clipped to the vehicle's frame. This weapon went into a custom holder hanging from the bottom of his riding jacket that resembled wing membranes. From within that small little pouch on his right hip, out came five more swords that also were placed in the wing-like sword holder, the resemblance to a wing made all the more apparent now that the swords were there to look like the wing bones. That gold-trimmed blade, with its dragon wing-shaped tsuba, from both its appearance and its position on the top left side, indicated that it was the most important of the lot.
Now fully-armed, he turned away from the destroyed road, putting it at his back, facing the oncoming enemy. "So, the personal boogey-man of the Aoyama family, huh?" He grinned, a wild smirk. "If I just stick to my standard practice of being a dirty b*****d, this shouldn't be too bad." Sound the guns Raise the cannons of war

/////////////////////////////-~--♚--~-/////////////////////////////---------------⊹↺⊹----Tomoko --∞ --Aoyama----⊹↻⊹------------/////////////////////////////-~--♫--~-/////////////////////////////----- ☇ ☇ ☇ ------神鳴流` "Betrayal stings worse than any blade." Tomoko could of course, feel the presence of the girl beneath the bridge. How well her pupils knew her.
Her bike shifted as she leaned right, and let her tires skid sideways along the road. This, combined with a sudden deceleration left her bike grinding against the pavement, the woman shifting to stand on the skidding mass of metal.
Her body jerked suddenly, and she flipped, booted feet kicking off the bike, her blade in her hands as she went. End over end, her body twisted, her bike headed, still in its skid, straight towards Seno.
She could always buy another motorcycle, even if it would take more modifications to get it back the way she wanted it. The flip ended with the woman crouching in the middle of the now severed island of the highway.
She tossed the jacket she had been wearing off, long hair fluttering behind her as she started forward at the swordsman, turning the blade in her grip, it sailed across the sky between them, a streak of metal flying after the bike skidding along the pavement.
Attacks at both his upper and lower sections, standard fare to start the party.
But she didn’t stop there, her movements becoming jerky as her steps became almost disjointed, a second and third sword slid from a pouch at her waist, these wielded in either hands.
The blade in her hands shifted, the blades held out, in a reverse grip, as she ate up the distance, the ripple of ki pouring off her enough to flatten the average person to the ground, to anyone else, it was like it crawled across their skin, covering them in an inky blackness.

It had some lights going off, part of the police cover his vehicle had. Lorenzo inside pushed the Defender as fast as it can go, weaving in and out of traffic, but staying the shoulders mainly. He fished for something in his pocket, and pulled out a card. Praying that Katerine was still doing some shopping, he summoned her.
"AHHH!"
With an unceremonious drop, Katerine more or less fell on the roof, and with some quick timing, managed to hold on to the edge. A door opened, and some packages was thrown in, before the blonde haired girl jumped in.
"What the hell was that for Lorenzo?!"
"I'm sure you got the text."
"I did a- WATCH OUT!"
Katerine wasn't the only one who caught the flash before them. Pressing on the breaks as hard as he can, Lorenzo struggled to stop the Defender before it fell off. Those behind him did the same, and while they had managed to stop with the front of the car barely off the road, they were rammed, knocking them around silly, and then more cars started to ram them in the pileup, Lorenzo managing to open his door.
"Grab the pistols!" He yelled, as he managed to grab his rifle case. Katerine did the same, opening the lock box and pulling out two customized Colt .45s, and they both jumped. Soon the Defender was pushed by an ever increasing amount of cars, off the edge and into the ground below. Fortunately for the van behind them, they were spared the drop.
Before Lorenzo can lament the loss of his vehicle, he would note the battle before them, across the way. Punching in the phone, he called Haruka again.
"Guys, they just blew the bridge in front of us. It'll be some time before we can support Seno. Get here quickly."
"Collaborator."
"I'm guessing it. You somehow need to get to the other side." He said, opening up the case, ignoring the gasps and screams of the mundanes around him. It was then did he feel the shiver on his skin. Trying his best to ignore it, he raised his weapon, just in time to see the woman dashing at Seno via his rifle's magnified scope.
He tried to steady himself, aiming at the girl, no, Seno was in the way. He adjusted slightly, still nothing.
"C'mon." He said, as he grabbed the ammo in the case, stuffed it on his pockets, and started to jump over cars and crossing to the other side of the road. To where it was wide enough.
Wide enough to make a jump.
