The kitsune looked at Hiei, but couldn't believe what he was seeing. Was he...? Hiei... smiling? This was new. Nothing amusing had happened, so why? Maybe this- everything that the red-head had been doing for him- had made him genuinely happy? It didn't seem likely, knowing Hiei, but it was possible. He hadn't exactly been acting normal, so judging off of how he used to be wouldn't make things too accurate. "Then why did you ask? Did you just want to respond?" The fox was tempted to say that his blushing had been enough of a response, but decided against that. There wasn't a need to tease him.

Hiei thought on it before he finally nodded. "I- guess." He replied.
His blushing had faded a little, but was still there.

There really wasn't much that could be done with this conversation, the the fox decided that a subject change was in order. "So I take it that you're feeling better?" Not exactly a creative topic, but it would work. He didn't know much of what Hiei liked in this state, so he hadn't an idea of what would be good to talk about with him.

"Very much, thanks to you." Hiei stated, truthfully.

Hiei's new politeness wasn't going to be easy to get used to. It wasn't bad by any means, just so different. "I'm just glad to have been able to assist, then," the fox replied, a slight smile forming on his lips.

Hiei nodded at the other's comment, before he looked up at the sky. "How much longer before we get back to the human world.... I- I don't want to be here anymore... It makes me feel uneasy." Hiei murmered to Kurama.

"We could go now, if you're feeling up to it," the red-head replied. Whenever Hiei wanted to leave was fine with him, really. His purpose was to serve the other, at least until he was better. If something was in his power to do, he would do just that.

"Yes, I feel like we're able to go home now." The other commented, truthfully, before trying to get up on his own.
And although a bit shaky at it still, he managed to stand just fine.

The other could stand; that was good. He was making progress. "Do you want me to carry you?" the fox asked. Even if he did think that Hiei could walk well enough, he wanted to carry him. He didn't need to exhaust himself.

Hiei nodded, standing itself was tiring, there was no possible way he could walk that distance, let alone defend himself in this state. "I'm not well enough to walk all that way, sorry." He apologized to the other.
He felt ashamed of his own weakness, and of the fact that he'd allowed such a thing to occur, but- He knew Kurama wasn't going to hold him accountable.

The fox really had figured that he wouldn't be able to walk, but asked anyway. Simply lifting him off the ground without even a warning would have been tactless. To this more soft Hiei, it was necessary to be careful. Special steps had to be taken so that he would be able to recover from the mental trauma. As a response, the red-head nodded, then pulled the other into his arms and began walking towards the realm of humans.

Hiei felt happily relaxed as he was being carried by Kurama. He must of nodded off again at some point, but this time it was a dreamless rest, when he next woke, they were in the human realm. He felt much safer here, there were no demons that would openly challenge them here. Nor did he believe he'd be eaten. Hiei made no attempt to move away from Kurama though, he still felt much safer with the other near.

The fox continued on until he reached his home, relieved that they had not been attacked even once. Without disturbances, they would both have much time to recover. He proceeded to his room, at which point he lied the other on his bed so he could rest. Naturally, Hiei would be given special treatment. After all he had been through, it really was the least he could do. Kurama seemed to think that he was asleep, seeing as how he sat on the bed beside the other and simply watched him. He did seem peaceful enough, and he enjoyed seeing him like that.

Hiei smiled, slightly at the other. "I'm not asleep, you know." He commented, carefully. His eyes opened slowly, and he attempted to sit up on his own, he managed to.

"So you are," the red-head responded, a soft smile forming on his lips. A blush threatened to come across his face, but luckily one did not. How would he have explained that to the other, who surely would've ended up asking about it? It was an awkward subject.
