The mutants carried China in and set her on a bed. They told one of the nurses something, then left. The nurse looked at China, then put something on her crack, mending it most of the way.

jean stepped forward and looked at the girl her eyes full of concern " what happened to her?" she said softly looking from the nurse to the girl lying on the bed. " she hit her head, that's all i know." the nurse said softly looking down at the girl as well.

In her sleep, China was back in the lab. "No...no needles, no chemicals...lemme go..." she muttered.

Richie's eyes narrowed. "Try checking her bloodstream for drugs or foreign chemicals; I think it will come up positive," he said quietly.

The nurse nodded. She pulled out a needle, and pushed into China gently. She pulled it out, and scanned it. "Goodness! You were right! 1/3 of her blood has chemicals in it!" the nurse exlaimed.

"Tranquilizers and depressants, likely, and maybe a few others," he said softly. Richard's eyes narrowed slightly, the glow burning slightly brighter in them for a few seconds.

"It was most likely that someone was telsting on her, trying to see what they could do without killing her." the nurse said, going back to China. She bandaged her head quietly.

Richard glanced at her, his eyes glowing brighter. "If they come for her, they're going to have a very cold reception," he said quietly, clenching his hands into fists as bluish mist swirled around them.

China woke up, looking around her. "Wh...where am I? What happened? Why is my head bandaged?" she asked.

China shighed. "Well, all I know right now is that I am a freak. Whenever I try to drink water, it freezes. Whenever I run, I end up in Tokyo, or Russia, or England, and whenever I go near toasters, they start riverdanceing!" she exlaimed.
