Valgaror the Vicious Comrade Mann Valgaror the Vicious Comrade Mann Valgaror the Vicious Can we keep things to one thread? This is getting a little overwhelming as it is. xd
Mixed race individuals feeling disassociated from their race is actually one of the reasons I'm against the idea- one of the reasons not based on my own personal reaction to it, that is. I look at it as an important connection to the past as an extension into the future. They don't have that connection.
I am your apocalypse I am your belief unwrought Monolithic juggernaut I'm the illegitimate son of god
It is rather ridiculous. But yeah I will. The other thread concern that motion anyway. Ah is it? That assumes being associated to one's race allows for something far better than being disassociated from it doesn't it? I don't think I would gain anything more if I was associated to any of the many races that make me up. What would I gain by embracing one over the other? Something more to do during a holiday? If we embraced such things Valg we would not have Christianity, but instead we'd have a s**t ton of Pagan religions with all kinds of ridiculous s**t and traditions and languages, dialects , divisions. That's really counterproductive to general society. And who wants that. Certainly not I. I assume you don't. Not having Christianity is an idea I would not be against, heh. No reason a silly middle eastern mythology should have such widespread acceptance, is there? I have no connection to it, my ancestors know nothing about deserts.
Anywho, what I gain from the association... that unifying factor that I believe a nation should by definition have. I don't expect it to be something important to everyone, and honestly, I don't care whether it is for them or not. XD
I am your apocalypse I am your belief unwrought Monolithic juggernaut I'm the illegitimate son of god
I agree with you on the Christianity part. Although I know a lot about deserts, Texas is such a nice state... In any case the unifying factor would be nice if things were more clear cut. Because of migration, wars, sickness, etc. all races are far flung into ridiculous locations and each of them hold claim to whatever land they have now because for years their ancestors held it even though those people over there lay claim to it to. By telling them to embrace their heritage you're telling these people it's ok for them to hold on to this land and the others that it's ok for them to go and kill the others to get it. So I suppose you're in other words advocating the chaos of the Balkans situation which threatens to never resolve. And if that's the case, well war is very detrimental to progress or growth of any form. All I know about deserts is that if I were to go to one, my internal contents would liquify while my outside turned into a crispy shell of misery.
War detrimental to all progress... hmm. I'm actually torn on this one. On one hand, it's potentially a good form of population control- though unlike disease or other methods that kill off the weakest of society, it has more of a tendency to kill off the stronger, which would not be a good thing. It also has been the driving force behind plenty of technological advances in the past. Ignoring romanticized ideals I'm pretty neutral on war in general. Though the text in my post formatting has at one point in the past been "we sing the praises of war not for the way it makes people die, but for the way it makes them come alive."
I am your apocalypse I am your belief unwrought Monolithic juggernaut I'm the illegitimate son of god
All I know is that because of war the invaluable library of Alexandria was lost. And really I don't want books to suffer. I wont' go into my personal feelings on war, they're irrelevant. The point of War is not necessarily progress. Sure it's a form of population control but it's a very unreliable and albeit uncontrollable one. but we can agree though in many cases we can agree that if you're involved heavily in a war on your soil that things like industrial production output will take a hit yes?

Because other people are more exciting. You already mostly know yourself, how boring is that? I mean in ideologies like National Socialism and many variants of Marxism there is no individual. The Individual is so minuscule it is worth nothing to some. You are an individual, therefore if you simply support just yourself, doesn't that mean you support nothing. In other words, I think you're not a National Socialist, I think you're a Nihilist.

Valg,
I am curious as to whether or not, assuming you support meritocracy and having the most capable be in positions of power in their respective fields, if one from a race you deem as "inferior" was most capable at fulfilling a certain role for society or in a government, would you disapprove of that person having that position simply on the grounds of his ethnic or "racial" background?
To me such would be illogical, but this is just coming from a perspective based on authentic meritocracy. Taking so much pride in ones background, something one had little control over, is rather pathetic in that it serves as a refuge for those who have done nothing themselves (no individual accomplishments) to be proud of. Taking pride in your "racial" group would be like taking pride in any arbitrary group. For me it might be taking pride in being socialist.
Secondly, I would like to comment on your view that culture is dependent on "race" or ethnic background. I myself am a very introverted individual, as are my friends. Likewise, we have little interest in our distant culture backgrounds that we don't and cannot relate to. Why take pride in something that you, as an individual, that has little relevance to you today? The more intellectual and introverted the individual, the more he or she tends to think for themselves. This leads to the creation of, if you will, individually-determined values and norms, a "culture" so to speak, that isn't based on ethnicity. You seem to deny the impact individuality can have on the development of ones culture. As I have stated multiple times already, culture is fluid - it is not static.

Valgaror the Vicious Lord Comrade-X Valgaror the Vicious Lord Comrade-X How do you feel about Strasserism? How do you feel about Rexism? What about Brazillian integralism? Have you ever thought about wearing a silver shirt? What what would you call your economic posistion? Third posistion? Corporatism? How do you feel about holocaust denial? Do the Tunnel Snakes rule? 1. A bit too literal a take on the "socialism" portion of "national socialism" for my taste.
2. Echh, Christianity.
3. Not familiar with it enough to have an opinion.
4. I can't say that I have.
5. I was interested in 3rd position for a while, but honestly, the economic side of things is one I need to look more into before having a solid opinion on it.
6. I do that, yes.

1. Fine then keep your anarchy of production. 2. Well at least your not one of those traditionlists. 3. Basically like regular integralism but not rascist and mroe secular. 4. Well they did die out in the 1940's, the war did not treat them well. 5. None of the Fascists I meet could really explain their economics to me either, they were always more preoccupied with foreign military policy. The most I got from them was some mumbilings on class collaboration, and so I had to go to wikipedia. 6. Why? I figured that would be something you would take pride in. 7. Yeah but I wanted his switchblade, after destroying the vault of course. I'm a hero, not a polarizing figure. I don't like the idea of economics as a unifying factor, which is what it seems to be currently. Without culture/race/ethnicity/etc. as the unifying factor, the thing that a country's population has in common is the economy, right? Therefore it becomes the most important thing and everything is essentially for sale.
Take pride in what?

You're on the razor's edge. I think a subtle breeze and you're a** deep in Nihlism world and everything being meaningless. I mean you hate progress so far in everything but name. You're somewhat on the fence for conflicts that will essentially destroy production capability and send a nation back to square one in term of civilization. You wanna shake up the world in a way that all that exists is antagonism and squabbling. You're a bitter bitter person with a hatred of many things. I think you're nihilist. Not that I particularly care what ideology you are. I suppose for a Marxist anything not our ideology is just the wrong one and in the way of Dialectical Materialism.

You seem to deny the impact individuality can have on the development of ones culture. As I have stated multiple times already, culture is fluid - it is not static. I actually don't typically think in terms of superiority or inferiority- that is, I may think of my own race as superior, but I also acknowledge that it's just my personal opinion.
It's idiotic to think that any single race would be overall superior- each has adaptations to whatever environment it evolved in, so as a result one may be on average superior to another in some specialized area or another, but as for overall, it'd have to be based on personal importance placed on those specific factors. Nothing objective.
I suppose I'm more of a separatist? If someone of another race is the most capable of a position of power in their respective field, I'd be of the opinion that they should use that ability to further their own race.
I put more importance on things like race and culture than a lot of other people might. I don't understand when people think that these things don't have any impact on themselves or their personalities. Sure, that sort of thing is in the background for the most part- the entire point of a cultural standard is that you don't notice it or take it for granted. Individuality may have an impact on the development of a person's culture, but who's to say how much that is in turn affected by either society, ethnicity, any number of other factors?

I prefer practicality and advancement over pipe dreams of racial unification and polarization form others. I'd rather not force antagonism onto myself and create a second or third Israel thus forcing my nation to live a life that's just going to be other nations beating on it That would be irresponsible.
