"Well, it's not like you can just raid Flamma City and take them back. You may be tough but not enough to take on an entire town." The old giant scratched his beard, thinking to himself. "What about that card? Can you still summon Smoldar?"

Hrothgar shook his head, "I released him after he destroyed Hell on Earth."

The old man and most of Hrothgar's family in earshot turned their heads as soon as they heard this. His grandpa stood up, "YOU WHAT?!"

"I figured he shouldn't be in service to mortals anymore, he got his revenge and his home back after all.", Hrothgar shrugged.

"He wasn't sealed away to be a pawn. He was sealed away so that this world would be inhabitable. He would see that this entire world becomes like the volcanoes now that he is free." The old giant turned away and shook his head. "You must go to that mountain, and appeal to him for our safety, immediately."

He seemed rather grateful that I released him though. Hrothgar rested his hand on the massive hammer Smoldar gave him. "...Fine, I'll be back soon." Hrothgar stood up and marched his way out of the courtyard, and through the vila, exiting through the front door. As soon as he reached the edge of the vineyard, He began long jumping across great gaps, making his way to the great volcano.

Kel blew over the mess below that was Noytral klar as he continued flying south. All he could see from the sky was blackened land and burned buildings, save for a few which were either ransacked or just scuffed up from the chaotic environment. It was a bizarre sight to behold. "Hmm... Well, If Air was meant to starve, they certainly will now, along with a good portion of the rest of the continent. The guy who orchestrated this would be some kind of b*****d. I thought all the nations were whimpering about gaining land. The guy who ordered this just wants to destroy." He pressed on southward increasing his pace as he did.

Ciel began to descend from the sky as she spotted what looked like the remains of a town below. From up in the sky she could see nothing but a long black strip of land stretching out to the horizon. Apparently what she heard was not from the rumor mill after all. Part of the earth nation had been devastated with destruction. Finally touching down to the ground, Ciel could feel the scorching pain of the earth through the soles of her feet. The land itself had cringed at the torturous burning that had taken place.

Quite nervous from the stagnant ashy air and the sound of only rushing wind, Ciel slowly paced through the empty town. It was surprising to be there and not find a single human or even small pets walking around. She couldn't help but wonder if the village was abandoned before or after this devastating fire. At a quick glance across the ground and back toward the southeast, she remembered what she heard at the beach. This wasn't just a random fire, it was an attack, but where was everybody? The attackers must have just burned, pillaged, and left with everything that wasn't tied down.

Unable to find much in the ash dusted, abandoned town, Ciel quietly walked off the main road taking a turn toward the southwest. She wasn't sure where she would wind up, but hopefully if she came to another town like Omgitt Jord or Terra Tanta, there would be at least some activity. The silent black was just unsettling.

Hrothgar charged on in to the ruined town from the road, keeping a good sense of what was around as he hurried on toward the hill of his home. Nothing looked particularly different from last time. The land was still dry and ashy, the houses still fairly quiet, and the streets empty. After a short hike up the vineyard hill, Hrothgar came to his house. The front door was closed and as Hrothgar tested the knob, locked. He grumbled as he pulled out his keys and sifted through them searching for the right key.

Obsidion had followed Hrothgar the whole way until reaching the hill. As the two of them stood at the doorway, it faced the other way, watching down the hill cautiously.

Mayura hurried on through the street much to her dismay. It was more or less the same scene back at Kraftig Felter. Burned buildings, ashes everywhere and not a person to be found. At least it looked like the townspeople attempted to fight the fire and managed to reduce the damage. She could barely keep pace with the speedy hill giant and came to a stop at the base of the hill to what looked to be his home. There was probably no mistaking a house that massive, unless other giants lived in Noytral Klar. As she stood on the hill, Mayura cast her gaze upon the open vineyard nearby. It seemed to difficult to believe that giant was a farmer of sorts.

Kujaku grumbled in disdain passing the ruins of Noytral Klar. Devastation was devastation to him at that point. Buildings were still standing but it was much too quiet. The burn damage was obvious. Kujaku knew what happened. It sort of surprised him that Noytral Klar's people made some effort to fend off the fire though even when Kujaku didn't show up to stop the man of fire. His sacrifice didn't seem so cruel and empty anymore.

Seeing the wrecked lands around Hrothgar's home, Kujaku felt sympathy, but also relief that separated Seg didn't look like this.

Mayura approached Kujaku casually, hopefully not imposing or convincing him to rescind his civility he'd been showing up to that point. "So, um... Kujaku?" She paused realizing she hadn't asked Kujakus or the giant's names but had heard the hill giant refer to the ogre as such back in Kraftig Felter. "I'm Mayura," She took a short bow to introduce herself before continuing, "Why didn't you go to the royal ball yesterday?" It probably seemed like prying but she did want to know why they didn't go, at least to not feel completely negligent herself for having not gone.

Kujaku almost sneered at the elf for introducing herself. He wasn't being hostile for the sake of the greater good but that didn't mean he had to be friendly. Although that question did hit Kujaku's curiosity. "Ball? Go to... like game?" He had no idea what she had been talking about. Did the royals hold a ball game of some sort? What kind of game, was it football? Polo, maybe? He scratched his head in confusion.

Mayura shook her head saying, "No, not like a sporting event." She paused for a moment. He was an ogre. It shouldn't be surprising in the least that the concept of a social event like a royal ball would be foreign to him. In the times she had been to major royal events in general the goblinoids had a habit of not showing up. A good portion of high society was human which orcs, ogres and the like were averse to. "It's like a social gathering. You know, food, music, dancing. People don their finest and gather to socialize."

"Hmm..." Kujaku thought briefly, "Sound needlessly stuffy for big party. Just let all hang out. More fun that way." Kujaku nodded folding his arms. "To tell Truth, me not hear of this till you mention. Hrothgar and me out in eastern mountains all week. royal mail not recognize Gorthar village as official town, we get no mail from outside separated seg." He tilted his head to glance up the hill toward Hrothgar's house, wondering what was going on up there.

Emerging from his house and shutting the front door behind him, Hrothgar took a short jog down hill with Obsidion trailing close behind him. He came to a quick stop to approach Kujaku and Mayura who had strangely waited around. "I'm surprised you two are still here. What's going on?"

"We were discussing current events," Mayura replied to Hrothgar's question as he returned, "Certain events have taken place at the castle in the last two days. I don't have all the details but I did hear that it was fairly important." Mayura paused trying to take a less business like tone, "In any event, how is your family?"
