Austin looked down at the Spoon thrower below him as he hovered about eight feet off the ground, making his tall 6'2" height even higher. Austin brought his eyes back towards the man who wasn't affected at all by the spoon. He wouldn't be able to let bullets bounce off of him like that, Austin couldn't help but to think.

At the spoon-thrower, Austin said, "No, go help Pasty. You're spoons aren't hurting him and besides," Austin stopped and winked, "I have the higher ground." If anyone was going to get hurt here, he wouldn't let it be one of the league's. How would he live with that?

"Eagle Eye, if you hadn't noticed...I'm not exactly likely to miss. Besides...If my spoons can't hurt him, I won't be able to do much else to him, and rushing in to save someone without anyway to protect yourself, while noble, isn't too smart..." He grimaced a bit, imagining his blows bouncing off of the stout man, then being pummeled himself. Now with the gun, he could end the conflict now, or so he hoped. Simply shooting the man's leg and making him unable to move.

"...rushing in to save someone without anyway to protect yourself, while noble, isn't too smart..." The Spoon thrower had claimed.

"Wait, so I'm going to give you the gun, and you're going to run over to save Pasty?" Austin asked, still eyeing the tough looking guy. "I'll protect you. Go save Pasty." Austin didn't want to give the gun to someone who sounded ready to kill. He wanted everyone to walk out of here alive. He had been through his own mother's death. He couldn't imagine the effect this would have on the families of anyone who got hurt here, even the bad guys. He also couldn't imagine being a witness to it all. All he knew was that if Pasty didn't get attention, then the other guy would give him some first.

"I'm going to take out his legs and get Pasty, that way we get this guy and protect Pasty at the same time." Truth be told, Austin looked rather gunshy and Shayne didn't trust his aim. A little bit off and one could fire, hiting their ally as easily as the opponent! Though he could understand Austin's reluctance, he didn't want to take a life as much as, he hoped, anyone from LoSI. Infact he loathed the idea.

"I'm going to take out his legs and get Pasty, that way we get this guy and protect Pasty at the same time," the Spoon informed.

Austin was officially torn. If the guy wanted to take out the bad guy's legs, it would hurt, but hopefully not kill. He knew the Spoon thrower had good aim, but could he trust the league member? He hadn't known him that long or talked to him enough.

"We don't want to get this guy," Austin put in. Maybe he sounded stupid, maybe the league did reply to these events by killing...Austin wouldn't though. "We want to save Pasty. Only if this guy makes a move that will harm my allies I will fire. I'm not going to put you into that position though."

Mother Narine Getskilled was knocked back by the ice shard just as the Ace of Pain responded to her order to protect anyone with Mother Superior with a casual "sorry, not in our contract."
Mother Superior, in turn had pushed Don the Baptist off long enough to shout "I'll pay you whatever it takes, just fight!"
Trump Card spoke up, "I can't fight, just protect." which was really just fine with both Mothers, since they were both about to be beaten.
Suicide King decided that none of these kids really deserved what he could do to them, and instead offered to get the car ready.
Don the Baptist was pissed, he was now fighting an expert assassin, and the best human shield he'd ever seen, without help from the league he had joined or from his supposed savior. He was beginning to wonder if this Eagle Eye was who he had thought he was. No matter, here he was alone, fighting two people, while the other four members of the league fought just one guy, and (as if that wasn't enough) four others were, save a little bit of ice, uncovered. "You guys really suck at this don't you!?" He screamed, while being beaten into a corner by Mother Superior, whose eyes seemed to flash when she heard this.

"Suck?" Mother Superior sneered, "Look who's losing."
"No (oof) not you, Mother," he managed, "You're really good at what you do. I mean you guys!" He raised his voice so that Eagle Eye and the others could hear, "Damn Pasty! He's a duper hero isn't he? He can take care of himself. Eagle Eye, you're more powerful than anyone in this room, and you know it, so don't be afraid and fight that sunofabitch! You other two, start worrying about these four guys here, who, thank God, haven't the brains to join the fight just yet." As if on cue, Mother Narine Getskilled got back up, and along with the three remaining members of the Flush, began advancing towards the ship. "Pasty! Get yourself off the ground and do something, or do you deserve the title of team leader? Sweet Mary and Joseph, these people aren't even Super, they're just highly trained." Double down split, as if to refute this statement. "Okay, so the little one's a super hero, but he's a bloody midget, what's he going to do? Bite your legs off? Let's go guys! If you don't get it together, I'm pretty sure you deserve to die right here!"
"Bravo." Mother Superior said, delivering the last blow to Don before he collapse in that corner that he was previously up against, "A knock out speech if I ever heard one. Trump, take our stentorian friend here out to the car, and wait for me or Getskilled." With that she, too, began towards the ship.

BlackJack waded through the pool, and punched a hole in the hull of the ship with his bat. It began to sink. Unfortunately for that plan, the pool wasn't actually as deep as the deck was high, so all he succeeded in doing was cutting off the door to the garden from anyone who didn't feel like climbing ten feet of wall. That, and making the distance between the deck and the water roughly six inches, making the fall off the deck more embarrassing than painful.
Narine Getskilled was bleeding a little from where the sharpened water had struck her, but she brushed it off and charged anyway. She wanted a shot at the guy who had cold her, but he seemed too powerful (plus she just didn't like cold) so instead she went for that weak-looking guy with the silverware.
Trump dragged the Don's body slowly. He was a really heavy guy.

Austin was still debating what to do when Don's interruption...well...interrupted. He wanted to make sure this guy in particular was stopped from hurting more people, but it seemed that there was much more to worry about that Austin had overlooked.

Don's accusations and statements made Austin particularly angry. Holy man my a**, he thought for a second. He wiped that thought to the side anfd flushed it away. There were too many others to focus on. What does he mean, I'm the most powerful here? Austin wondered. He spun around to see what was bothering Don.

He was outnumbered, that much was obvious. In a matter of seconds he was unconscious as well. Austin decided that Don needed more assistance than the spoon kid. He dropped the gun into his allie's outstrecthed hand. "Don't do anything stupid. My trust of you will be lost," Austin warned. He then sped off towards the one dragging Don away. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw a woman go after the kid with the spoons. "Watch behind you too!" He warned.

Before the man dragging Don away could react, Austin had drilled into him with the side of his own strong body with a fantastic speed. He had flown so fast, nobody could have had time to see or warn the man attacking Don, who sprawled away.

Austin landed for a second, picked up the religious man, and then flew off again. The difference was, he was now much slower. DOn was a lot heavier than Austin expected. Austin tried to pick up speed to increase the gravity. That was somewhat succesful and DOn was so slightly less heavy.

They flew out the exit Austin had left by before. He placed Don's unconscious body into the pastymobile. Austin checked to make sure the man was okay. He knew he should get back to the fighting, but fights + lack of sleep = incredibly tired. He plopped himself into the car beside Don, promising to be there only to catch his breath before getting back to the Spoon and the gun.

At least Don was safe.

The tirade only made him madder, at superheroes in general, and the League in particular. With a whiff of cinnamon, he unfroze from the wall, pushing off and generating the skates at the bottom of his feet. The odd mixture of cinnamon and mint was vaguely reminiscent of Ben-Gay.

Fridge spun into a wide-angle kick, with a nice cold bladed surprise at the end for BlackJack. "Hey, mac, you gonna pay for the new fishtank? And what about poor One-Eyed Willie? He was in the hold, you heartless b*****d!"

User Image"Watch behind you too!"

Well hearing that, and hoping he wasn't being taken a fool for, the Spoon turned about, the gun raised with expert aim. She was moving, big mistake.

The iron sights lined up in less than a split second. That's right, he split the second twice. They were perfectly aligned with Mother Narine Getskilled's right shoulder. His index finger began to put pressure upon the trigger, a simple shot that would more or less make her arm useless...

A sudden scent of cinnamon reached his nose, what horrible timing. Instantly an itching sensation found the lining of his nose. Oh Shi- Before he could finish the thought he had pulled the trigger, the sneeze came far too quickly to stop his attack. "Achoo!"

BANG~! The two sounds mixed as the lines 'The sudden motion made me skip now we're into a brand new trip.' filled the room from the speakers.

The sneeze threw off Shayne's aim, not much seeing as the round was still barreling towards it's intended target...Just the wrong part of her body. The center of her chest to be exact.

Austin had barely caught his breath. He shot a fleeting look at Don and flapped his weary wings. He shot off into the air again and entered the building. He came into the DWHAM to two sounds. Both came from the spoon-thrower. There was a sneeze, and a shot.

Austin stood, stunned, gapeing at the smoking gun. He had fired. He could very well be killing...EXACTLY what Austin had warned him against. But now he had to wait and see...

Mother Superior was furious. "You're supposed to be the man who can block any attack!" She screamed at Trump as the angelic fiend took away her prize, "I mean, that's your ability, isn't it?"
"How do you think I feel about it?" Trump sounded defensive. He always sounds defensive.
"Alright, let's get after him!" She directed Mother Getskilled and the remaining members of the Flush to abandon Stone and get Don back. But something was wrong with how she said that, it was altogether too loud, like a gun shot, and a sneeze. As the Trump finished running out the door, Mother Superior turned around to see Mother Narine Getskilled fall.

She had never felt anything quite this painful in her life. Not even that b*****d's icicle that had previously been the biggest wound on her mind. An idiot quote swam around in her head as she fell the humiliating six inches off the deck into the water. "Bullets," she couldn't remember if it was from a movie or a webcomic, "My only weakness!" It was funny enough to make her cough up blood, an phlegm, and lymphatic fluid, with a few chunks of bone from her sternum, but all she really had time to pay attention to was the blood. She saw Mother Superior yelling and the Flush leaving her. "Help" she wept. Hardly doing more than just mouthing the word to her boss.

"God be with you, Narine Getskilled." Mother Superior prayed solemnly as she ran out the door chasing her obsession and leaving her friend to bleed to death in a fake ocean. She left them both, Stone and Narine, just for the chance of catching Don the Baptist, the slightest hope to be one step closer to destroying Lex Lutheran, and when she found him outside in the Pasty Mobile, both of her comrades were driven from her mind by the euphoria known only to junkies. At last he was hers.

BlackJack lifted him into the van and they drove back to the monastery in the storm.
Afterward

Time slowed down unbearably, he was helpless to stop what he had caused. The bullet had exploded from the end of the gun in Shayne's hand, the kick hadn't phased him. Atleast not that he could tell. Time did not return to it's normal pace until he could see Getskilled cry for help.

The temportal flow flew back into proportion as the Spoon threw the gun into the water, hopefully making it harder for Stone to obtain it while he tried to rectify his mistake caused by the sneeze. He not only missed his shot, he had likely caused her to die. He didn't have time to worry about that.

He skid to a halt next to the fallen female, regret obvious in his eyes, as they were the only part of his face to be visible. Huge splinters greeted his knees and tore through the fabric of his pants, though he couldn't feel them at the time.

His hands moved to the wound as his voice croaked from his throat which treatened to close and not allow him a breath. "Try not to move too much..." He had seen this a hundred times on television, he needed pressure to stop the bleeding...Wait, he had hit her in the heart likely, he couldn't stop that bleeding.

"...I'm sorry..." What else could he say? Are you hurt? That'd have been worse than asking a man with a sword through his gut if he was okay. You're going to be fine? Only a fool would believe that...Why couldn't he be a fool this time?

The woman was coughing up blood like a hose sprayed water. "Damnit Spoon-boy!" Austin yelled. 'Spoon-boy' sounded lame, buit what else was he supposed to yell? He didn't know the kid's name.

Austin hadn't known the woman. All he knew was she was with the group that tried to take Don...at least he was safe. Austin flew by her side. He didn't know exactly what to say or how to treat one of the what had to be enemies. So all he did was stand there woith his wings lowered and his head bowed, hoping to offer her some kind of comfort and looking for some kind of miricle to help her survive. Whether the league believed in enemies surviving or not, he did.

This hero thing could cause a conflict. How would he talk to Spoon thrower (who had ran up on the other side of the woman) after this? What about the guy he'd been fighting before, now unattended? Would Pasty get up? Would Don come back? Would these bad guys go away? What was his future going to be like now that he'd witnessed this?

The blood set his stomach into a frenzy of flips, somersaults, and various other gymnist moves. He guessed it came with the business.

The Fridge saw Narine fall, saw the Spoon trying desperately to rectify things, and his anger only became more obvious as he landed bad, having missed BlackJack, did a strange landing flip, and was soon skating to the exit-

Far too late- the van was already gone. He skidded to a stop, powder flew up in front of him in a large sheet. Fridge balled up his fists, and hit the wall, which suddenly was covered with a thick layer of rime. At the same time, his hair suddenly and loudly burst into flame. "Dammit!"

The rain put him out in short order, and the Fridge refroze himself. He looked at the others, an open call in his face and the very way he caught the light in the rain, daring the others to do something.
